The newest issue of Previews magazine is out and it features a solicitation for the Universe Legends Wave 5 (2009 Wave 1) assortment. The solicitation features the first public images of Cosmos, Rodimus, Warpath, and Wheelie in both modes. This wave is scheduled to ship in January.

Nutcrusher:
Warpath is awesome. And Cosmos is crap as always.
Bass X0:
Would the Ravage that came with Hound be counted as a Legends toy? I would love to see Rumble and Laserbeak as Legends that transform into the same size 'cassettes' that Ravage does.
themac339:
I can't wait for Warpath. If he and Powerglide were deluxes they would be perfect. Why did Hasbro make Powerglide too big and Galvatron too small? We should lobby Hasbro to make these changes.
Railguard:
Nice pics, they look pretty cool. I'm not sure if I'll get them but they look cool.
Bravemaximike:
For Rodimus they should've just released that micromaster version that comes with Star Convoy. This one is ok lookin', but he's not even as cool as Classics Hot Rod, so why bother?
Grimwing:
obviously pre-product images. No way are they actually going to paint rust on cosmos's torso.

But despite this they are all great,

- rodimus bears a great resemblace to his alternators self.
- Cosmos looks really thin in vehicle mode, I hope that does'nt affect his durability like minicon armada terradive's breaking vices.\
- wheelie with a movie accurate head. Nothing more needs to be said. (Ha! I rhymed)
- warpath is great. The h tank could only be a problem for me if its floppy jointed.
Draven:
Cosmos & Warpath look great. Rodimus looks average. And I just can't bring myself to want another Wheelie in any way, shape or form.
Robogeek28:
I just noticed that Rodimus is the first new Lends figure without knees, well that sucks.

Yeah, but did G1 Hot Rod have knees?

People expect knee and elbow articulation from Legends figures, and yet the average legends figure only has between 12 and 20 parts. Most of the time it's not possible. I'm just happy if they have decent alt and bot modes.

For me the beauty of legends class is that you can have a small army of them. I can fit an epic battle on my desk.

All of these are buys. Esp. Wheelie. It's cool that we're getting new mold Universe Legends, and even cooler that they're so G1 centric. Hope there's more to come next year and after ROTF. Be cool if they did the rest of the minibots and more G1 stuff. A decent legends G1 seeker mold would be a good investment somewhere down the line.

Can't wait for this stuff.

That's why I love the WST line and want more of them
nerdimus prime:
It's about time! sold.
Strategist:
Cosmos and Wheelie look OK and G-1 accurate with more realistic vehicle modes.
Warpath looks great in robot-mode but has terrible tank mode. It doesn't look like any tank at all (more like some garbage with a gun turret on it).
The M551 Sheridan is no longer in active service but they could have made him a M1A2 Abrams or perhaps a light tank such as the M8 AGS, Stingray or CV90120.
Warpath is one of my favorite characters. Would love to see him as a Deluxe or Voyayer with a tank mode that actually looks like a decent tank.

Actually I thought from initial pics that all the other G1 Legends had knees, now that I have Bumblebee, Beachcomber, and Brawn I see that's not the case after all. I still love the little buggers though, and hope for more to be made after the next wave!
