FansProject and board members S250 and daelite20 have alerted that a Shadow Commander knock off has been released. It appears the knock off is based on the earlier City Commander mold as it does not have the newer Shadow Commander's screw holes.

Pictures comparing the original with the knock off can be seen by clicking on the title bar.

If fan projects tried to make more of the commander sets we wouldve never had this problem they shouldve attempted to work with hasbro and bring in what the fans want if they did they we could get a leader clas universe 3.0 ultra magnus or something. licensed or not it will be screwed with KO anyway.

FansProject made a lot of City Commanders, as at one point, BBTS stated there were more then 2000 pieces being made. There was at least four months of time to save money and preorder it, before the October 2008 release. They didn't sell out until maybe 2-3 weeks after retailers had them in hand. The current demand is from people who either missed out either because of the original price or didn't know about it.
