The only real problem I can see with Galvy is the high knees. But I can deal with that. So what if he's Deluxe? I'd rather have a $24 Galvatron than a $45 or $88 Galvatron (those prices are Australian prices for Deluxe class, Voyager class and Leader class, respectively).

wolfe:
hmm. i dont like the face. but i do like an updated galvatron. Must buy.
shockwave2005:
Meh. Still not sold on him at all.

*hugs G1 Galvatron*
I hope there is a larger sized Galvatron somewhere down the road...large transforming tanks will always be WIN.
Pravus Prime:
I was super excited about Galvatron when it was first announced. I was a bit let down when I first saw pics, and at this point, all interest has been killed. It has nothing to do with the size, in fact I like that he's in scale with Classics Rodimus, Titanium UM, Rodimus Prime, and Scourge, and undoubtedly the upcoming Cyclonus, but it's just I think that particular tank mode is, well aweful. I don't like the hands, the arms, the torso, the head, or the feet. It doesn't really matter what character this was, even if it had a different head and chest to be Bludgeon, I still would loathe it, it's not a TF mold I like in any way.
Somewhat ironically, it's the opposite as Animated, where I had little interest, but now I love it more and more.
Deceptigtar:
havent we already seen carded photos and toy shots of him already? i know a handful of us own him already, what makes this any different?

| Not a good argument. In the first series, we had a truck cab larger than a T-Rex. Alt mode scale has never been the Transformers strong suit.
Melkava:
Hoping he gets upsized by those carded KO makers like astrotrain.

| Going by what? The original Galvatron figure was much larger than Cyclonus, and he was larger in the comic as well. Only in the cartoon were they nearly the same size, and Galvatron was even larger than Cyclonus there too.

Part of it is like the difference between early and late Alternators. Classics 1 got many of the "heavy hitter" characters out of the way, leaving us with characters that are less universally popular mixed with whoever seems to work as a repaint. Also, there's a bit of a design philosophy shift between 1 and 2 as well. Classics 1 was roughly similar to the Cybertron line that immediately preceded it, in look and TF design, while "2" draws more from the complexity and style of the movie toys with a bit of Alternators tossed in (the Deluxes anyway). Hasbro said themselves that Universe was designed to keep some of the feel and relative realism of the movie line going as an alternative to Animated.

Perhaps hasbro is now trying to keep them roughly in scale?
I hope.
After all unlike g1, classics/universe isn't several unrelated, out of scale lines pieced together.

I don't really want to have to save up that much cash for Classics Galvatron.

My Energon Galvatron will continue to be my default Galvatron. Quote:

Comic Fort Max was much smaller than his cartoon/toy size.
JediTray:
Well, Galvatron could be worse. Let's face it, we've seen some pretty bad toys that turn into tanks over the years. I was just hoping that Galvatron would get the "Leader" treatment he deserves. I'd rather save up more pennies for a more accurate, larger Leader Class that transforms into the cannon like the cartoon, but if this is all we're gonna get, I'll probably end up buying him at some point. While the tank mode isn't the absolute worst I've seen, he'll be staying in 'bot mode with his back to the wall at my place. Lotsa kibble.

Wheeljack35:
I don't like the size or the look of the face
SentinelPrime:
I just don't see how anyone could be excited for this figure. It has a ton of neon Armada-Orange on it, it looks like a sloppy, kibbly mess, seems to have poor articulation, the robot mode barely even looks like Galvatron other than some of the torso and head, and now it looks like even the head doesn't look as good as the early pics. The tank mode looks uber-generic, and whereas the movie 'cons had a very organic, rounded, human look to them, this fig is blocky and stubby. I mean honestly, I can't think of anything positive to say about him; even the purple is all wrong and there's no chest symbol. I just don't get it....its the total opposite of Prowl and Sunstreaker.

I bought Wave 1 of Universe 2.0 and was not impressed. I sold them within a week, and shocked to do so. The first classics were win, very neat designs and cool characters. This line feels...forced. I will probably get the ultras, because Ultras rock, but not this galvy.

In most instances, Cyclonus is pictured as being just slightly smaller than Galvatron, and most definitely not larger than him.
Seeker:
I do have a issue with his size but we can't have him too much larger than classics Prime and Megs can we? I agree that the packaging art is terrible, all of their faces are down right ugly.
