Triggerhappy:
Nice. If I didn't have Magnificus I'd be on it

If the Arker are gonna play revealing-games like this, I'd much rather they do it this way instead of blurring/swirling it like they used to do...
Takara_destron:
Do want.
AMG:
Great looking artwork and window box packaging. Nice presentation all around.
Losty:
when are new universe toys coming out?
MegaPrime33:
Can't wait to buy this. It looks really good.
StarSaber79:
To bad it is a Toys R Us exclusive because it is awesome!
shumworld:
MINE!
doomboy536:
OMFG WANT.

Too bad I can't have it. Curse you downsizing!
ILoveDinobot:
Percy!! yay I can't wait to get this .
Sage o' G-fruit:
Purchased.
realCliffjumper:
Soo excited for this one. But I can't decide whether to keep in box or take out. And if someone says "well buy two," Ima gonna smack you. Though that may be exactly what I end up doing.
Agent-GHQ:
What disturbs me is the attempt to merge G1 with the classic line 2.0!
tusko:
Definitely buying one. Are there any anime accurate after-market heads for this beast?

Hey, I thought Perceptor was a working microscope, albeit a weak one. Don't his lenses do some magnification? 1.5× or something? I thought the original had some function. Thanks!

I know the original one did but this isn't the original one so who knows.
miscreant:
Love the picture inside the flap.

'Unlike most G1 toys, i can be posed!'
grimlock1972:
do want very much
ConeheadConvoyX:
That sucks, they took out the working microscope gimmick
ORIO:
i dig that art
TRANS+CRAZY:
So want Perceptor.

I'm hoping the "not a working microscope" comment is just to cover the fact its not a 50X microscope and its actually a toy. I hope the mechanism still works otherwise its time to find a junker perceptor.
Rodr-Evil:
I have one vintage, but this is really a tempting.
Kaymac:
Want! I'm going to buy him along with the Insecticons. Very cool little guy, can't wait to find him.

Quite possibly, they're just unaware of it, or simply don't think the original magnification level (which was pretty light) qualifies. Won't know until someone gets one in hand.

(Noting that it also says "identical to the original toy.")
bombatron:
nice! cant wait for this and the new TRU re-issues to come out.
trystendaycey:
My junker says something like 15X on the decals for magnification. But I have no scope, so I don't know.
eriku:
I will consider this toy grabbed, bought and fondled. Just last weekend I passed up a loose vintage one at an Antique store knowing this reissue was coming out.
Scaleface:
I plan to buy two. One for Perceptor and one to fix a broken old black pre-perceptor toy I picked up on ebay.

You know it might be a nice idea for a "fans project" kit - someone make the things needed to convert Perceptor into a working x5 powered microscope.

Assuming that it isn't already. Like I said in the earlier post, there are conflicting details, and it's pretty easy to assume that the copywriter didn't know....
frilly toothpick:
very cool, but im only gonna buy the insecticons.

I recently sold my Takara #16 Insecticons on ebay for over $120 in anticipation of the TRU release! Now I can get them and Perceptor, and have some cash left over
Ravenxl7:
I'm not sure why, but I'm oddly interested in Perceptor, and might actually get him. That is if I can find him, as the two closest TRU's to me have never been good places to try and find exclusives.
viper2391:
It would have been nice if they remolded the head to mimic the G1 perceptor face in the cartoons without the face plate.
03Mach1:
This will be a nice addition to my G1 reissues. It looks fantastic.

I don't see any evidence in these pictures of this release having any additional articulation the original didn't have.

I also hope the "Not a working microscope" disclaimer is incorrect.
Dolza_Khyron:
i have one, but mine is worn... so i am pretty tempted...

this and the insecticons... which i have too, but, i'd love a second set... or maybe a third...
newguy:
Im buying it. I need to get some g1 stuff
REDLINE:
man that is one beautiful box.
Lakanl:
Man that's hawt. I'm getting one because I never actually owned any G1 toys (my parent's friends kid did though). That's why I love these reissues.

I'm sure this could easily be done and sold as a replacement by someone in Radicons.
