Let it never be said that the UK always misses out on the Transformers toylines - while it is true we get shortchanged most of the time on anything past about wave 3, once in a while there is a turn up for the books, and today is one of those days, because Transformers Prime Voyager Skyquake has been sighted in UK Toys R Us stores up and down the land. Skyquake was the last of the toyline to have not been released in the UK in some shape or form - with this the entire Transformers Prime toyline has made it to these shores. Skyquake is in US packaging complete with "The Hub" adverts, indicating this is import stock rather than Hasbro UK domestic releases. It follows the very limited release of Skyquake through Toys R Us in the US.

yay! Was wondering how to get him. I was holding out hope with the Beast Hunters line released later over here. Surprised at we_are_forest, if it is notts TRU, last time i went it was full of previous wave voyagers.
yummehcheese

miscreant
Looks like a U.S. box too.

Yep - we_are_forest mentioned that it's a US box. Has the Hub sticker and everything.

Obviously, all of America's Skyquakes must have been sent to the UK instead. /: )
Loosecannon
Quick lets do the american thing, buy them all and send overseas for a massive scapling profit! Joy!
Fort Max
Saw this before I went out this morning on my near weekly pilgrimage to the post office but there weren't any in my tru, sweet that he's out though, I'll grab one if I can.

Go on chaps have at them. It's a lovely deco of the toy and edges over DW.

It's nice when us Brits have little bits of luck
Transbot90210
Did Skyquake hit US shelves? I know he didn't come to Canada and I had to buy him at TFSource (got lucky with a restock cuz this guy is sold out everywhere)

To all you UK Prime fans, happy hunting and good luck! Any Prime collection needs this guy in it. Great figure AMAZING colours.
Dirge121
Anyone think this thing could be the next Energon Ultra Magnus? Incredibly hard to find in the US, but somehow plentiful in the UK?

They had 3 in when I was there last night. It was an hour before closing and they were putting new stock out throughout the store so they must have only got them in.

The one I found first of all was in a box on the floor along with a box marked 'TFA Prime Deluxe W5, then (I think) A6'. Is that the Rumble/Dead End/Kupp wave?

Anyway, there were also 2 Skyquake's on the end display. I thought I'd check the fixture in case it wasn't a one off.

I'm gonna do a smash and grab on Toys R Us later.
Great news. Sexy times.

fingers crossed lets hope so, i have had skyquake since around christmas time as ordered from the far east but very happy for the guys over here that they can get a release that was feared that may not ever see the light of day here.
ken8kuhletz08
A must-have for your prime collection. Happy hunting!
Irish Carnage
I'm sickened. i just bought one on ebay earlier this week, typical that it gets released the same week as I buy one online too. Ah well.
BigPhill
Managed to nab the only Skyquake at Edinburgh TRU. Like others have mentioned, he's in US packaging.

Glad he's been released as I almost bit the bullet on a 45 one on EBay.
UltimusPrime
Glad the blokes across the pond get a chance at this figure. I Still need to score a second to open as I have a issue with opening my original purchase.
simond
I'm torn between selling my 2nd misb one or keeping it, unfortunately I'm running out of space

Edit: both imported from the us, oh well...
Knockout123
just got home with the only one in my local tru.....
SG Roadbuster
so.....would any of you fine English chaps like to help a brother in the USA out with a Skyquake? pm me please mayhaps we can work out a deal?
simond
Sorry, already put mine on eBay and no TRU near me to pick up any others.
Omnius
I'll have to check out my local TRUs before the weekend is up. Ridiculously happy to see Skyquake here, I thought I was going to have to import him.

You're lucky, I already had
AngryChad
Add me to the list of takers if anyone is willing to ship overseas.
BigPhill
Happy I've got Skyquake. I've effectively completed the RID line, just to pickup the Takara variants.

However one of the wing parts that fold away in robot mode isa little floppy. I took it off, and it's because too much plastic has been cut off. I'm going to have to get clear nail polish to fix it as I believe superglue would melt the plastic.
Timesynch
Dey terk yur jerbs! I mean, Skyquake!
Rotorstorm
I saw my first Dreadwind in the wild earlier, right next to his brother Got to say it does look a nice mould so I might go back to pick them both up during the week if I can.

The news post said "It follows the very limited release of Skyquake through Toys R Us in the US."

Huh? When did that happen? All I heard about was a sole DD's sighting in Las Vegas (which was never front paged news).
simond
Well TFsource and BBTS had them in stock, doesn't that count?
videriant
So. . . .at the current conversion rate, it would cost $50-60 to ship a Skyquake to the US for no profit. . .

Dismissing the profit there's also time and cost involved in getting the figures.

For instance for me today it cost me 8.10 or roughly $12 in bus fares to get to Toys R Us to find him.
Some people would look to recoup those costs.

If it was me however I'd look to swap him for something I'm after, which is hard to find in the UK - IE everything

Just looked and at the current exchange rate, Skyquake is worth $34.33
videriant
Trading is definitely the way to go. What are the hot "we-got-screwed" items in the UK this year? Bumblebee?
SG Roadbuster
Not sure if related or not. But my local target just restocked prid voyagers wave 4, original recipe with starscream. It may just be a case of old warehouse stock finally trickling out. So this may lead to skyquakes stateside
Fort Max
If I find one I'd look for a BH Shockwave in trade, seems fair.
simond
I'm waiting for someone to suggest MP Sideswipe for him, you know it'll happen, just look how Windcharger and early TFP stuff went...

Edit: that's not a hint by me, I can just imagine it happening!
Autovolt 127
Is their a smidge chance Canada may get Skyquake now, pretty please Hasbro.
Jindrak
And here I was *THIS* close to buying one for $70 USD from ebay. Hope is rekindled! Thank you kind UK bros!
JDK
Congratulations you British SOB's, glad you finally didn't get the shaft on something.

Just wish the US didn't end up with said shaft instead!
Chris McFeely
And you know, the UK actually managed to the ENTIRE Prime toyline, too. No skipped deluxes, Voyagers, Weaponizers or any Cyberverse stuff - so we've actually wound up not just getting "one thing" that the US didn't get, but rather, a BIGGER LINE as a whole than the US got.
Optimus Prime
Good for you guys! Hopefully eBay prices on this might go down a bit.

genius. I'll totally take an MP Red Alert for Skyquake!
Arashistorm
now pop up in NJ, come on Skyquake, your green may be varied and a bit questionable, but I need you!!
GAUGE
The US never even got this guy.

Well...Arizona never did anyway.
videriant
Question. Do it look like the normal case assortment, Skyquake/Magnus/Thundertron/Optimus?
Roadblock1977
Good thing I already have Skyquake, thanks to BBTS.

TFsource and BBTS are not TRU, which is what the news post said. Can anyone verify?

Didn't anyone else see this Las Vegas DD's sighting?

Wow, so that means we actually got the whole line for the first time ever! (RTS doesn't count as there was the unreleased scout wave.
