Transformers Prime Toxicity Preview

Posted on 05-20-2012 at 03:37 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
We've got a preview now courtesy of that very nice guy Darkprime for next week's all-new episode of Transformers Prime. It's the hunt for the final relic, and it all comes down to Bulkhead VS an Insecticon - but not just any Insecticon, this one's a named character, and the name is Hardshell - or as fans of the original might know him as, Bombshell! A named Insecticon? Better watch out Bulkhead! Check out the preview below:

Sounded like he said "hard shell" to me.

Thanks for sharing, its an insecticon (Hardshell).

Yeah another repaint for this show ugh...

Doubt it. They said that Kaye's character would get a two-episode arc, and at the conventions where he did said character's voice it sounded like hound.
kaijuguy19
This is gonna be intense!

Like how one of the Insecticons seems to be more of a character. Here's hoping he'll live long enough tobe a part of the cast!

Wonder if he does kill Bulkhead.....

You know...it actually does kind of sound like David Kaye. And he was confirmed to be voicing someone right?

I think that it was at a convention. Whoever said it, iirc, was one of the high-ups.
Kylehudson14
HUGE let down

If it is, it's not the same as the voice he showed at that convention last year, people said it was more like grumpy groggy robot, not Satan's Little Brother like Hardshell here.

I wonder if this Insecticon is some kind of hive warrior or something he has different colors than the others.

Yeah I wish it was Megatron instead or a new Con.

That better not be David Kaye.

Hardshell huh? Guess they decided to use that over Bombshell since Hasbro doesn't have the trademark for the later

There's a good chance that this Insecticon may acutally kill Bulkhead which could earn him points. If there's also a good chance of him being a major character later on then it's a start.
soundwave142
we're already getting shockwave soon so i'm just embracing sir tattooed insecticon buddy ^ ^
TFW10
I'm keeping an open mind; it maybe a pretty good episode. (at least its new)
Transformed
Whatever happens, Bulkhead's spark must have still been intact when he came through the Groundbridge, as he wasn't lifeless, just badly hurt.

Yeah, you could hear him groaning as he flew in.

True. Still he may be at a critical state.
Starscreamownz
That groan may have only been added for the promo.
xMAXIMUSPRIMEx
Yay, Hardshell!!
(Though I suspect trademark issues)

No, he was silent as he was flying in.

This episode looks to be pretty darn good too- not as pants-blowing-ovary-destroying-chair-annihilating as Triage, but still.

Nope, Bulky is silent when flying into the base.
soundwave142
Hardshell huh? look guise a new karaktuh
NCStarscream
Sweet.
Sumner Sturgeon
I definitely think Hardshell sounded like David Kaye; his one line was basically the Lugnut voice without the flanging effect.

That said, I think it's awesome that not only does one of the Insecticons get to be a real character, but that he turned out to be (?) David Kaye's character as well. Colour me excited!
Arbitron
Bulkhead will not die.

Especially not to the hands of an Insecticon.
moreprimeland
Thanks again DP , I just couldn't hang around to watch Alvin and Frankie.

An Insecticon..and Bulky vie for the last relic. Oh snap.

I would be forever ticked off if they write it that the I'con takes out Bulky...I call foul if so.
Brave Magnus
HArdshell? Ok, its a good Insecticon name. Looking forward to see where all this is going.
CelticMutt
Upon watching the reairing, Bulkhead was definitely silent, and his eyes were either greyed out or closed.
Ravenxl7
Looks like this'll be an interesting episode. It's nice to see that there's at least one Insecticon with a name. Maybe this Hardshell commands the others? or something along those lines. Still hoping Hasbro makes a toy of the Insecticon design. A Deluxe would go great with next year's Kickback.
Xaddion
Forty one episodes already? Wow, that's even more than Animated had.

Animated had forty-two episodes. >.>
ken8kuhletz08
I wonder how will they end this arc episodes? It was a great run finding all those powerful relics.
Anguirus
I'm really in awe of our total and complete inability to guess what the writers are doing with the Insecticons next. "They are just on Cybertron." Nope. "Airachnid's army will be the season-end threat." Oops. "They are just big Vehicons now." Yeah, if a big Vehicon can whip the tar out of BB and Arcee. "They won't do anything important." Except completely ruin Bulkhead's shit and stroll away with an artifact, no backup. "They won't have individual names." Hard(bomb)shell says hi guys! "They can talk? Well they probably won't say anything important, again like big Vehicons." Except Hardshell's trash talk is about as sick and vicious as Airachnid's. These guys might be my favorite characters just because no one, and I mean NO ONE, predicts a single thing the writers do with them correctly until they see it on a screen like everyone else.
Lewa1267
I don't particularly care for Bulkhead, so if he does die, then "eh". Otherwise the episode looks pretty sweet.

Yep, Transform and Roll out Pts 1-3
Plus 3 seasons of 13 eps = 42.

Prime Jetscream
Wait, halfway through Season 2, we'll probably get a third, and we're ONE EPISODE behind matching Animated's TOTAL episode count?!?!!?!??!?!

Prime is on a roll.
Cyber-Scream
Dis guna be good.
Stryker055
Meh. Was hoping for a better enemy for Bulkhead instead of a named mook, but okay. Maybe this "Hardshell" fellow is pretty cool.
