Transformers Prime Soundwave, Wheeljack and Cliffjumper at NYCC

Hmm... I definitely prefer the first edition version of Cliffjumper. Not keen on the false roof chest, leg kibble and arms of this one. Face sculpt also isn't as nice. Still, I might get both versions since I really like the Prime version of Cliff.

Soundwave is nice but I might hold out for a possible voyager class version.

Love Wheeljack and Cliffjumper, Soundwave is good too but the paint on him is kinda ugly, hope it's just the hand painted prototyle that looks grainy like that.

Damn these things look like they were plucked right from the screen. I look forward to all things Prime.

I can't wait for these guys to hit stores! Only about one more week till the first wave is released! Although, I want to finish my Dark of the Moon Wreckers before I start on the Prime toys.

Soundwave looks like he's going to end up being the most epic Deluxe Decepticon of all time. I couldn't imagine how Hasbro was going to pull off a toy of that design when I first saw Soundwave's CGI model, but they've done it flawlessly. He's my favorite 'con from the show, and looks like he'll end up being one of my favorite toys as well.

Wheeljack and Cliffjumper look great as well.

I learned from Animated that Hasbro is now capable of turning anything into anything. When I see a funky show design that looks impossible to execute in plastic form, I just lay back and wait to see how Hasbro works its magic.

This is a different version of Cliffjumper? I thought it was the same one that was remolded into Terrorcon Cliffjumper.

Love 'em all! Especially Soundwave, I feel obligated to buy him simply to see how the hell they managed THAT robot out of something as thin as a freaking UAV Predator drone!

Also, nice to see Cliffjumper has a melee weapon now, since he kinda died before we could see it in the show.

Cliff seems pretty decent, hard to tell for sure as he looks a bit mangled.
Wheeljack looks really nice, very slick.
Soundwave is just amazing, even after animated and movie toys I still had doubts about how well they could pull off that stick thin design but they managed it with aplomb. The little Laserbeak is nicely done too.

are they making three versions of cliffjumper? Two normal and one terrorcon?

These are hand painted prototypes, hence there aren't enough of them to display them in both modes.

That seems to be the assortment name. Not sure if this is to distinguish it from the First Editions or what.

Production paint is quite likely to fall short by comparison.

Well atleast the actual product won't have that grainy flaky look. Soundwave looks like a bad a customized job there with that paint.

Soundwave and Wheeljack look pretty cool. Definitely gonna have to pick those two up when they show up over here in March.

I'm probably amongst the few who likes the look of the First Edition Cliffjumper better then this new one. I'll probably pass on this new one.

There's a First Edition Cliffjumper that'll be released in December as part of the first edition wave, which will get remolded into Terrorcon Cliffjumper which will be released in March, and then there's this newer version which will also be released in March.

I also like how the character with the most toys at the moment was dead within the first 15 mins of the show.

aw thanks man, this first edition one is much nicer and more like the cgi imo, definately will pick him up, little or no kibble on him compared to version 3

Well, uh... Laserbeak is disapointing.

Not so fond of the hand-painted effect, either. I find it off-putting.

Picking up pretty much everything I've seen so far, though... Liking that Cliffy's gun turns into a hammer-lookin' thing, too; I guess his gimmic is to put a whole new meaning to 'pistol-whipped'.

Good to see Wheeljack and Soundwave both have clean backs and that Cliffjumper's kibble looks like it can fold up more.

could this mean a revival?

I give it a week before someone has that wheeljack repainted into Drift...

I'm amazed that they pulled off soundwave. I might have to pick him up.
If Wheeljack's alt mode is any good then I'm glad I passed on the Generations one.
Still might buy a cliffy, don't know yet.

I'll be amazed if WJ's swords aren't made of the super-floppy variety plastic. They look too long to be made of the less-floppy plastic.

Why is it that a dead CJ has already gotten 2 molds, which don't get me wrong loving CJ, but we've only received... so far.... 1 mold of a Ratchet... and it's a CV fig! They trying to hype Ratchet or something?.... I don't get it!

I like the first one better as well. The new one is a bit more accurate, but it looks a bit chubby and awkward. And it's a lot more impressive how the first version doesn't cheat, where as this one does.
