These must be the abilities of the Omega Keys. It looks like they really are going to grant Cyber Key-style powers!

Uh...wouldn't it make more sense for ANOTHER Decepticon to have the first power...and for Knockout to have the second?

I suppose that Red Energon Hypergon is what Starscream uses for the hyper speed? Wonder what sort of humiliation he'll go through this time? XP

At first I thought Screamer and Knock Out was gonna be part at some Football Game.

As for Knock Out's ability, he could've easily have stolen the resonance blaster from Megatron for all we know. Or found the Sonic Scream from Beast Machines.

Okay, where have people been getting information on this thing called Red Energon? Did I miss something about it? I swear it keeps popping up in every Prime related thread (or at least the last two I've looked at )

This sounds like an interesting episode, can't wait for it.

It's mentioned in the episode "New Recruit", mate. Starscream goes looking for it.

Another race, huh? Knockout and Starscream in the summary is both wonderful and horrible- we all know they are going to be defeated in the most humiliating ways. But maybe Knockout will ditch the 'Cons and team up with Screamer? At least they could be miserable together.

And let's not forget: no SilasDown, no Smokescreen, no Apex Armor in the description. ALL ARE DEAD.

Shouldn't Soundwave be "harnessing the power of sound" instead of Knock Out, it just doesn't seem fair to me.

yeah it certainly does.

In G1 characters had abilities unique to each bot. Mostly special weapon abilities. Teleportation for Skywarp etc. etc.

Good for Knock Out. I want him to kick ass for once rather than be a continuous running gag about him getting his paint scratched. XD The addition of Screamer is great too.

So the equivalent of Talisman powers from Jackie Chan Adventures?

Except for, you know, how this Soundwave chooses not to speak. If anything, I could see Soundwave having the powers to mute/deafen/blind people. That would be pretty damn scary/creepy combined with his body language and tentacles.

Nothing is worse than silent hentacles! Just ask the school girls!

Soundwave deadening/dampening sound and comm signals would be right up his alley (kind of like Shriek's ability from Batman Beyond). At least that would shut up the yellow beeping bastid. XD

So Knock Out is getting Soundwave's usual ability, and Starscream is getting Blurr/Velocitronian abilities? What evs. I'm more looking forward to SilasDown and Smokescreen.

What? Starscream already have armor from Triangulation. And why Knockout, Soundwave could be better for this.

Some bots still have abilities in the IDW comics like Tarn's "weaponized conversation" and Trailbreaker's force field, but they haven't made it care if their unique abilities or not.


This is way I think we need a Encyclopedia.

I wouldn't be surprised if somehow before this episode Starscream manages to break the unbreakable armor. Or just simply lose it; remember it's Starscream we're talking about.

And does Soundwave really need more boost? I know 'sound power' goes cute with his name, but he's a BAMF already and it's Knockout who's in need of mystical powers. And how likely is it that they manage to keep those powers by end of the episode anyway- we can't have the 'Cons winning now can we?

Hmmm... A Knockout episode? Colour me excited. I wonder if they'll touch on his little stash of Synth-En that he had way back in "Stronger, Faster"?

the writers are doing a good job of cycling through the cast and giving everyone some focus. sounds like a good episode for all the knock out lovers.

Knock Out harnesses the power of sound? But what about that droplet of Synthetic Energon he got from Ratchet, doesn't it count for anything?

Sonic energy is Soundwave's thing, I agree. But I'm giving this a chance to see how it goes.

Looks like this episode will provide some good character focus. Though I am wondering if the special powers are brought about through Red Energon or the Omega Keys (maybe both?).

That would be nice if they did do a updated Encyclopedia. Similar to Dreamwave's More than meets the eye manuals they put out years ago.

Ah... yeeesssss (as Beast Wars Megatron would say). This particular 'artifact' has yet to rear its head. I have a feeling with all of the various plates in the air this season synth-en won't come back into play until perhaps Season 3 (if at all), but I'd like to see how that goes.

I don't know....Starscream with super-speed? dosen't he already have that artifact armor?

I wonder if the sound ability may have been meant for Soundwave but Knockout, still being jelous from triage, swiped it from him?

I don't see why super speed doesn't make sense for a jet, really. In fact, a Jetformer with super speed would probably be the fastest TF ever in alt-mode, since jets go way faster than cars.

Also, I'm guessing that this has to do with Red Energon being essentially the Cybertronian equivalent of X-Kryptonite.

just because some decepticon is called Soundwave doesn't means he should get sonic powers , you know breakdown never makes honor to his name since we never see him having one.

Well Breakdown now makes that honor thanks to Airachnid breaking him down to pieces.
