Transformers Prime Season 2 Episode 1 Title and Description

Finally, a thread like this that DOESN'T involve wikipedia or imdb...

Anyways, it's nice to know that the season will begin with a multi-parter, though hopefully this one isn't more than three episodes. Should be interesting to see what all happens in this season.

The question is "is it true?"

I saw the thread title and was this close to opening up a can of "quote and bold and increase size" is I saw "Wikipedia" or "IMDB".

I'm going to guess that the episode (as dictated by the synopsis) revolves around Megatron basically informing Orion of the events that have transpired, but twisting and skewing them, trying to make the "decision" easier for Orion. You know, "The evil Autobots destroyed Cybertron. They left us kind and merciful Decepticons for dead, to fend for ourselves. They exiled us good and faithful Decepticons from the planet and those large, scary and violent Autobots hunt us for sport."

I can't wait to see how Megatron will try to talk Optimus into joining the Decepticons.....But If I'm right Optimus will have some second thougts and conflits in the process.

I don't know. We did see a promo with Knock Out placing a 'Con insignia on Prime.

That was my thought as well, except I think we'll be lucky if it's even a 3-parter.

Yep. And given how much the Autobot writing looks like the X-Files alien writing, I am wondering if the creators are going to pull a "totally out of left field" on us and introduce Mulder and Scully in the three parter. This most likely won't happen, but it wouldn't shock me if it did. Especially since, according to the creators, the whole resolution with Prime will be totally unexpected and putting Mulder and Scully in TFP is as unexpected as it gets. I could see it going like this:

ORION PAX PART 1: At the beginning of the episode, Megatron manipulates Optimus into joining the Decepticons while the Autobots and their human friends discuss Prime's fate and how to find him. June Darby, being the overprotective mom that she is, still insists that Raf be taken to her hospital and examined. Bumblebee takes them there where Raf is examined, to everyone's shock and surprise, by none other than X-Files' Dana Scully who is no longer with the F.B.I., but instead, working as a physician at June's hospital. June asks Scully if she can borrow her car since her vehicle was destroyed by a tornado. Scully says "sure" and then drives to Mulder's residence in or near Jasper where her former partner moved to investigate rumors of alien robot sightings or driverless vehicles close by. Scully asks Mulder if he can drive to the Darby residence to pick her up once she drops her car off there. Mulder drives to the residence and accidently, to his shock, catches Jack talking to a motorcycle that not only speaks back to him but moves on its own. Mulder suspects Jack's motorcycle is an alien robot or something alien and starts trying to get answers from the boy. Jack, trying to keep the Autobots a secret, doesn't tell Mulder anything and tries to hide from him. However, being rather careless with the Key to Vector Sigma like he was in the Season 1 finale, he winds up losing it. Mulder finds that key by the end of the episode.

ORION PAX PART 2: Optimus Prime is driving around on Earth with Breakdown and Knockout on some mission. They encounter small and defenseless humans. Optimus, as a test of his loyalty, is ordered by Megatron to destroy them. Optimus' innate nobility forces him to refuse to do such a deed despite his memory loss. He fights Breakdown and Knockout and prevents them from harming the humans. He then leaves the Decepticons and hides from them in the desert refusing to serve Megatron any longer. While the Autobots go looking for their leader, Mulder somehow finds Optimus in the desert by the episode's end. Maybe Jack's key leads him to Prime or he just catches word somehow that some extraterrestrial robot is wandering around in some remote location. Mulder finds Optimus and then gives him the Key to Vector Sigma restoring the Autobot Commander's memories.

ORION PAX PART 3: Megatron and his Decepticons locate Optimus with his new human friend, Fox Mulder. Megatron discovers that Optimus' memories have returned and says something insulting as always like, "So Optimus, I see your memories have been restored. And I see you found yourself a new pet. Well since you won't kill humans, we most certainly will. Beginning with this one!" The Cons then try to attack and kill Mulder, but Optimus risks his life trying to protect his new human friend. He fights the Cons off and then drives Mulder some distance away to safety. Mulder then calls Scully with June standing nearby and reveals to her that he just found a giant red and blue robot in the middle of the desert. June contacts the Autobots and informs them that Optimus has been found. They then pinpoint Mulder's cell phone signal and drive to Prime's location. June then starts Scully's vehicle and tells Scully to get inside. June heads to the Autobot base intending to reveal the Autobots to Scully. The Autobots locate Prime and Mulder. Mulder then rides back to base inside Optimus with the Autobots following their leader. June and Scully are not far behind. With epic music playing, Mulder and Scully enter the Autobot base and exit their respective vehicles. The two former F.B.I. agents are both standing on a giant Autobot symbol etched into the base's floor when all the Autobots transform around them. Optimus assigns Ratchet as Scully's guardian since Bumblebee, Arcee, and Bulkhead already have humans of their own to guard. Jack then asks who will guard Mulder. Optimus puts his hand on Mulder's shoulder and then exclaims very epically, "I will be Mulder's guardian!"

TRUST NO ONE: Agent Fowler is not too happy when he discovers that Fox Mulder, of all people, is now living with the Autobots. Knowing Mulder from the past, he attempts to arrest him for previous actions against the government. Optimus, however, will not allow him to do such a thing, even if it means endangering the Autobots' alliance with the U.S. government. However, he decides against revealing Mulder and Scully's alliance with the Autobots when a certain shadowy chain smoking government official shatters his faith in his government.

NEVER GIVE UP PART 1: Ratchet reveals how Bumblebee tragically lost his ability to speak, prompting Dana Scully to learn more about Autobot physiology in an attempt to help the young Autobot scout.

NEVER GIVE UP PART 2: Dana Scully, to Ratchet's skepticism, offers a possible solution to Bumblebee's dilemma.

DARKNESS FALLS: Mulder defies Optimus Prime's orders and sneaks through the space bridge thinking he can help him uncover something he investigated years ago while assigned to the the X-Files. Optimus orders Mulder to return to base for his own safety. However, it is Prime's safety that is ultimately endangered.

HUNTED: An ancient artifact shows a strong affinity for Optimus Prime as a deadly enemy from Mulder and Scully's past returns to haunt the Autobots.

CHIMERA PART 1: Silas captures Fox Mulder and tries to force him to reveal certain information about Optimus.

CHIMERA PART 2: Optimus rescues Mulder as Silas unleashes the full fury of his arsenal in an attempt to capture the Autobot commander.

UNLIKE FATHER UNLIKE SON: Jack and Mulder, to their resentment, must pretend to be father and son in order to gain access to secret government files.

REVELATION: Dana Scully discovers something shocking about Optimus Prime.

I think its a foregone conclusion that the key to vector Sigma will play into Optimus regaining his memories.

Well I guess that was before Orion started to have second thoughts.

Well, as far as episode reveals go... it's, uh.. underwhelming?

I think they are keeping something BIG from us. They want us to believe it's just about Megatron manipulating Optimus, but I think there's alot more to it than that that. The creators said that what's going to happen in the Season 2 premier is going to be totally unexpected. And given how much that Autobot writing looks like the X-Files alien writing...ok I don't think it's going to be that unexpected, but honestly, I really wouldn't be shocked if Mulder and Scully from the X-Files showed up.

If there's anything the Bay movies have taught me, it's to keep my expectations low.

I suspect the Key to Vector Sigma alone won't be enough to restore Prime.

After all, it's the KEY. Not Vector Sigma itself.

After all, they've said we see them go to space.... suppose that Optimus' salvation lies on Cybertron itself?

Well that's because it's Michael Bay. He makes great explosions and visuals. But he doesn't get things like plot and character development.

As I've said in other threads, I hope this plot line isn't dragged out for too long, the whole 'Ooooooooohhh Optimus Prime is a Decepticon!' thing will probably get annoying if they keep it going for an entire season. I'll be frustrated if every other episode is like this:

Arcee: "Optimus! We're your friends! Megatron is just manipulating you!"

Megatron: "Don't listen to that war criminal Orion, I am your oldest friend!"

Orion: "Even though I'm detecting vast amounts of Bullshit emitting from you Megatronus, I'm staying with you for no other reason than to keep this arc going, because people complained about a lack of an on-going arc that connected every episode in the first season."

Megatron: "Perrrrfect!"

I agree. I hope they keep it interesting.

This. As for someone saying him regaining his memories would be an entire arc, an arc can be as little as two episodes. Plus, he could always end up rejoining the Autobots but still be an amnesiac. Which would still be as much as a cop-out. Until I see them handle it well, I'm not convinced this whole Orion-as-a-Con thing can be done well, it just seems like the sort of thing that would only last for 20% of the season. I think 10-13 episodes in would be a good time for him to rejoin the Autobots, and the rest of the season him slowly working on regaining his memories while once again learning to be a leader. Just my opinion though.

To understand how I'm seeing things, I'll have to compare things to Beast Wars characters.
I believe Starscream is going to be the "Dinobot" of this series, albeit one who has more to prove to the 'Bots.

As far as Optimus/Orion, I can't see him being any more 'Con than Silverbolt was a Predacon. It's Optimus' nature to be a heroic character, much like 'Bolt.

This arc will just get monotonous if it goes more than...... 3 episodes? Yeah, that sounds about right.

Unless, of course, they have something mind-blowingly awesome planned with this character arc, like Orion kills Bumblebee or something..... Now that'd be entertainment!!

My guess on how this season will go.

Start with Orion allied with the Cons. By the end of the opening multi-parter, Orion has his faith in Megatronus shaken, most likely by the influence of the children. He may even leave the Cons, although I don't think he will join up with the Bots yet.

He will rejoin shortly after leaving the Cons, most likely after the character death we've heard reference to takes place. I bet they die support Orion and his beliefs (Freedom is the right of all sentient beings). Orion retakes his position as leader but not as Prime.

The rest of the season is dedicated to Orion re-learning what it means to be a Prime, ultimately leading to a return to Cybertron with the Key to Vector Sigma, where they are able to reactivate the Matrix and return all his memories.

Like I said, this is a guess.

Or.... even better....
Orion loses faith in Megatron. Unwilling to rejoin the Autobots, Orion locates Starscream and the two of them start an all new faction.... THE DECEPTIBOTS!!! or.... THE AUTOCONS!!!! or something equally silly.

That can totally work!!! I wish it'll end up something like this!

Color me excited! Definitely looking forward to seeing a more in depth look at the Decepticon dynamic, sans Starscream and with Orion seemingly taking over as Megatron's SIC. On the flip side, I want to see either Arcee or Ratchet take a bigger leadership role, and perhaps have Wheeljack return with some Wreckers to shore up the Bot ranks a little. Hell, if they bring in Kup or even Ultra Magnus, there could be an internal power struggle within the Bots to see who takes up the leadership mantle left by Prime's absence (I can definitely see Arcee butting heads with Kup or Magnus). As for Starscream, I dunno what the writers have planned for him but it better be big (and involve some new Seekers and/or the Combaticons XD).

I mean, that doesn't seem like a terrible title if it that is, in case what we'll get. The opening part of the season if not the entire season should be about Orion Pax

Thats a pretty damn good plot, in my opinion. I wouldn't mind seeing this, but then again I'd be pissed too for spoil reasons hahaha

February can't come fast enough! Between the Prime Robots in Disguise line release, Daytona 500, and this! It's going to be one awesome month!

It's definitely going to be a 3-parter. The Hub's facebook page said it was going to be a 3-part premiere. The good news is that we get 3 brand new episodes back-to-back.

I think Optimus will rejoin the Autobots by the end of the 3-parter, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll have his memories back.

I will admit that I am bit scared of the title. I don't know why, but I just feel that with a title like that, it means that Orion will get his memories back really quick and that will sour the rest of the season for me. Anyone else feel similar?

Nice find!! And as for it being possible misinformation...many of us used Zap2it for titles last season and they were always correct!

As for the OH NOES, they will return Orion to Optimus in one episode and it will be boring again!!!

.. look, he will in all likelihood, return to being Optimus and whether it's one episode or 10 that it takes to make it happen, try to give it a chance and wait to see what plot or several plots, the TFP team has written b4 beginning to bash the season opener. I'm hoping we have at least a 5 parter for Season 2 and if it's well done it can be the mind blowing experience that the season 1 ending gave us.

I will laugh if Vector Prime show up against Megatron for taking their Last Prime away.
