Ebay seller miyatoys has given us our first in-package glimpse of the upcoming Transformers: Prime wave 3 of the Robots in Disguise line of deluxe figures: Knock Out and Hot Shot. You can see the photos of the packaging, and their bios after the jump.
Now updated with pictures of the Vehicon in package too!

Hot Shot is the most Tracks-ish Hot Shot ever. If the automorph is fixed on this, then it will be my Prime Tracks.

I want that Knockout fig so bad. He's gonna stand with my Drift an them. Probly gonna be hard to get tho, I wanna snag his ass at retail, the timing is the difficult part. anytime I hunt for something it evades me. 2 month slater there it is outta nowhere
MrSoundmeister
And the Green Cliffjumper repaint shall be dubbed… DOWNSHIFT. well someone haves to say it,besides it would fit in well considering he was a green muscle car in cybertron. yeah,i would like to see more unicron trilogy homages in prime.
SouthtownKid
And both of those would have worked a million times better.

Right, not exactly what I meant though. Agreed, it was just a blue car at the time of the episode development. However, subsequent to the animation, it wouldn't surprise me if Hasbro (again, as in the case of Acid Storm who got a figure 25 years later) they may use the appearance of a 'blue bumblebee' as a device to motivate a blue bumblebee repaint.
In other words, the car that is seen in Speed Metal is Hot Shot ex post facto
Robogeek28
I believe they've been up for awhile now.
Gilgamesh
Hotshot's always had brain damage. He liks jaAm.
Stygian360
So… how many people immediately went out and ordered a case of Wave 3 when they went up for sale on RobotKingdom? As far as I can tell they JUST went on sale less than 24 hours ago and are already sold out!
Stygian360
As the saying goes; 'sometimes a tree is just a tree'. In other words, I doubt those vehicles were anything more than just reuse of the CGI asset.
TrueNomadSkies
Yeah, and then one of them can be introduced into the story as having brain damage & thinking he's just a regular car.
W-P38
I haven't seen this observation posted anywhere amongst discussions of this figure, but…
It could be said that Hot Shot makes a cameo on PRIME: Speed Metal.
There's a blue Bumblebee during the drag racing scene with Knock out, whose driver is never seen. Next to him there's a green Cliffjumper.
If we get a green Cliffjumper repaint character, I'll consider my observation correct. This could be like an Acid Storm thing: Nameless green seeker jet on one episode of G1 gets a figure/nameless blue bumblebee on one episode of PRIME gets a figure.
Josh
boy i cant wait for somebody to actually transform knockout correctly

Chill out mate, blue is a very general term for the colour without going into specifics such as hue and saturation.
Point is, Hot Shot\Excelion was blue, that design element carried on to his incarnation in Animated [yellow with blue armour parts], and seeing as he's the same mould as the yellow Bumblebee in Prime, he couldn't be yellow again.
He could also have been red with flames [armada power up] or silver [energon power up].
SouthtownKid
He was a light, almost gray-ish blue in Cybertron. People need to stop defending this deep, dark blue as if it has any kind of relevance to the Unicron Trilogy character at all. It doesn't.
Knightdramon
Hot Shot is supposed to be an homage to the Unicron trilogy character. He was blue in Cybertron and he had those goggles, or some sort of goggles, in every incarnation he was in.
Fartini
I'm going to as well.
SouthtownKid
Pretty much, yeah, an amalgamation of both (although you could kind of say the same thing about Cheetor, too). And then, every Bumblebee we've had after the Unicron Trilogy has basically been Hot Shot in everything except name.

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind. I actually ended up finding an available pre-order on TFsource for a 3pack of Hot Shot, Knockout, and the Vehicon. I wanted Knockout anyway … and while I don't care about Hot Shot he looks better than Bumblebee, so I went ahead and preordered there. It's a little pricey, even with the lowest priced shipping, so I may end up canceling before they get in stock if I find a better deal – I did pay later so I assume I can still cancel if needed. But at least I have a guaranteed option atm.
On the upside, breaking down the cost between figures the price was around the same per figure as Amazon was using, at least for the Vehicon.
edit: Hmm, looks like I can't cancel even on a preorder. Oh well.
From my understanding, Hot Shot is supposed to be Hot Rod, with a name they can keep protected. Don't know why they went with the blue instead of red like in the DS game though.

Being a dick is one of my favorite past times. If I could, I would road trip to monopolize Vehicons to hear the fanrage.
Seriously though…all Vehicons I see are mine or going up to other boardmembers.
Chaos Muffin
I thought Hotshit was the dude who supposed to replace Hotrod & Bumblebee at the same time in Armada.
Seeing him as a blue Bumblebee now makes me think Hotshot is strange.
