Huh... I'm starting to doubt that Shockwave will make an appearance in this episode. Even in a flashback. I wonder what friend Arcee runs into.

This seems to suggest that Arcee's friend is currently alive. Since they said "once someone is dead, they stay dead", I'm thinking that friend isn't Cliffjumper.

Unless Shockwave is experimenting with cloning.

Could be his evil plan involves clones.

Yeah. As really, that way a) you off the clone before the episode ends and b) create personal enmity between Shockwave/Arcee.

The best part being that, if Shockwave's played consistently to his bible portrayal that we've seen in this continuity, it'll only be personal for Arcee and trivia for Shockers.

I really don't want to see Clonejumper, that'd be such a cop-out.

Yes, Tailgate would be great...kind of. He'd be a 'new character/autobot', but we've already 'seen' him and he was just a model we had already seen before, although edited a bit. But yeah, it'd be great, since I like his VA (Jack's voice) and think it would be awesome for Arcee to havea bit of recovery--plus with Tailgate alive, her reaction to a potentially 'must be released for greater good' Airachnid won't be too negative.

But all in all, this seems like the episode where Shockwave shows up, so if Tailgate is around, it'll probably only be for the episode. Since from the flashback in 'Predatory' it looks like the Autobots never took Tailgate's body--and with the speculation that Airachnid is a creation of/has been modified by Shockwave (since he created the insecticons(?) and she hasa connection with them), maybe she informed him of Tailgate's body and he repaired it--or maybe Tailgate never actually died and Shockwave saved him for this precise moment.

the creators said they would use things over like SynEn and stuff. This might be them using the clone thing again. But, if Cliffjumper or Tailgate is "brought back", why would they be????

I'm leaning more towards new character.

Maybe the Starscream that introduced Shockwave is also a clone?

I don't see him abandoning the Apex Armor anytime soon.

Yes, it is a bit grammatically awkward, but I'm interested nonetheless. Even though I'm not expecting a new Autobot or Shockwave or anything else other than a flashback episode that focuses on how Arcee first met Cliffjumper and/or Tailgate, I'll still watch the episode to see what it's like.

Well this is a little unexpected. If Arcee's friend is a new character that'll be awesome. Like either Sideswipe or Hot Shot is possible. Maybe Jazz even or someone unexpected. The ones who mentioned Cliffjumper and Tailgate is intresting. However I'm writing off Cliffjumper for now seeing how in the Botcon promo it's shown that Starscream's with them and it was likely in the past due to his desertion of the cons. Now Tailgate would be a very intresting twist. Perhaps being made into a new body then getting his memoreys erased for a while then gets brought back by Arcee is one idea,actually being a clone that's used by Shockwave to trick Arcee into helping the cons get the weapon function only to turn against Shockwave after being remorseful,or perhaps he was alive this whole time but Shockwave and Airachnid worked together in secret to make sure that Arcee thinks Tailgate's dead for some purpose.

Either way it's going to be exciting however will people be still around to see the episode after Hurt is the question.

Things I Know: Unless there are two bizarrely similar episodes coming out, the Decepticon is Shockwave and the Autobot is Cliffjumper. This description pretty much slams that cryptic-ass clip into a solid context.

Things I'm guessing: Starscream discovered Shockwave's cloning lab earlier. Cliffjumper is a clone. The strangely helpful-seeming Starscream is also a clone. From the description, I don't think Shockwave necessarily has Megatron's best interest at heart--this would be very similar to comics, but unique for an animated version of the character.

I'm calling it that's its Clonejumper. If it's a new Autobot bless the almighty Primus!

This would support my theory that The Harbinger is Shockwave's ship. The fact it has all sorts of scientific gizmos, INCLUDING clone research, on board makes me suspect this.

It might not be a clone of Starscream though. After all, IF the Harbinger is Shockwave's vessel, it could be that he's been in stasis this entire time, and Starscream accidentally wakes him up.

(Heck - maybe it could be for a reason as innocuous as "I can't get the Apex Armor off!")

Well it ain't tailgate, cause he's dead. An it isn't cliffjumper , cause , well , he's dead also. So that leaves , ironhide, UM, OR just maybe, Hotrod ?!

Hmm...well, it can't be Tailgate or Cliffjumper because they're both dead. Ironhide isn't appearing until Season 3...so I guess that leaves us with Hot Shot or something totally unexpected. As for the suggestive new Decepticon...it's possible it's either A) Shockwave (though it's stated he only appears in a flashback) or B) Dead End? It sounds like something Shockwave would do though: think of an elaborate plan to destroy the Autobots and claim victory to something that Megatron hasn't accomplished.

hey i think it is hot shot cause has any one seen his wiki page? it says they have a special relationship. this is what his wiki page says it is at the top about the last sentence at the top. He also shares a special relationship with the Autobot sharpshooter, Arcee.

Which is sad, given how awesome his design is (well, other than his generic head).

Anyway, it doesn't matter how awesome this episode might turn out, people have already passed judgement on this show in it's entirety--though at least most of them waited a bit longer than others to do so.

Hang on, an episode that hasn't aired yet that we know next to nothing about will make up for another episode that hasn't aired yet and we also know next to nothing about? okay i guess. i've learned to take the episode descriptions with a grain of salt. for example, the one for crossfire was fairly unassuming and the episode turned out to be pretty good. conversely, the ones for nemesis prime and armada both were played up at least semi-epicly and i felt those two were the most underwhelming episodes thus far. I'm gonna end that here cuz i don't want another fansplosion lolz

I have faith that the show will play this through decently. Even if it's just cliffjumper, i won't mind cuz i liked what i saw with him, and if it's a couple new guys then that will be even better

i still say hot shot. i just had a thought i know the dinobots appear in season 3 but could it be grimlock? and i totally agree that the con is old one eye shocky.
