Another big reveal from San Diego Comic Con as TFW2005 member ekocher has taken a picture of Optimus Prime from Transformers: Prime! This Giant statue (seriously look at the guy next to it) shows that this Optimus will be a blend of Animated and Movie designs.

Not much is known yet about how this Optimus will act, but check back tomorrow as TFW2005 will be bringing you more information from the Transformers: Prime panel live!

Edit: Additional shots from staff added to first post in discussion thread at 3:45 AM EST.

Interesting...
Optimus Prime
inb4 ruined childhoods
Veloxiraptor
Those shapely thighs....
Bilbo Boxhead
That's ugly
Bumblethumper
JazzSanti86
Thats pretty close to the concept art we saw at Botcon.
marshall dusty
hmmm....it's not bad...i'm sure it needed some layers or something. i'm liking it...
autobotguy
Huh....that really *IS* a blend of movie and animated aesthetics.
It looks ok, but I'll post my stamp of approval when I see this design in motion.
Beastbot X
Yup, that's it. Though it looks like they smoothed out the detailing a little more from the concept art we were shown.
NCStarscream
Looks okay. Definitely like the blending of TFA and Bayverse.
Quantum_Penguin
Huh. Okay. So it's animated Movie Prime with WfC Prime's shoulders. It's not terrible but I would have preferred something more distinct like Animated Prime was to previous incarnations.
Toxicon
Wow, that looks pretty cool. Can't wait to see the rest of the cast.
ORIO
Prime Prime?

Ok...
Ravenxl7
Not bad. Definitely fits the description of it being a blend of movie, animated, and WFC. Definitely better than I was imagining him to be. Should be interesting to see what his alt-mode looks like, and how the rest of the cast will turn out. Hopefully the inevitable toys turn out as well compared to the designs as the Animated toys did. I have to say, my favorite part of this Prime's design, would have to be the head. Looks like movie Prime's head, just perfected, lol. Not sure about anybody else, but it almost looks like he's got two televisions built into his chest (the windshield parts).

I think it must be a work in progress... there still appears to be people working on the construction/assembly.

Dang. I'll wait to see the CG model before jumping to conclusions, but while it's not an Animated-level atrocity, I'm not feeling that at all. (basically looks like a cross between movie and Animated instead of the 'simplified movie' vibe I got from Bumblebee, who's design I thought was pretty slick...)

I really think we need to start calling this series TFP instead of Prime. Stuff like "Prime Megatron", "Prime Bulkhead", etc., gets confusing and just sounds wrong.
Thundershot
I thought it was reported he'd have smokestacks on his legs like WFC Prime....?

He could still have them. Looks like their still putting him together, so there's probably more to him than what we're seeing.

Agreed. Plus when you type TF: Prime with no space inbetween, you get TFrime.

Well sure... but still...It's funnier if you say it like that

THis. it doesn't seem heavy on the movie look though.
frilly toothpick
it looks ok. but im sure it will look better as a cg model.
theestampede
its not bad, but Im not feeling the head or the pectoral designs. It might just be the picture, I really like everything else
Sideswipe80
Looks Mega Manish and Mighty Orbotish. Not bad.
bellpeppers
Animated Bayverse.

Looks... un-interesting.
I like BB more.

Watch out for the vomit smilies!!!

Vomit smiley's? It aint that bad- just boring.
Tiller
It is Animated + Movie. While not a bad thing, the design isn't so different from the movie's Prime to make him unique. Like The Unicron Trilogy Primes and Animated being so vastly different.
Lion
Like it. That's the first thing I though when I looked at- animated, movie, animated, movie...
Facemeat
Eh, he looks off somehow. I really hope he looks more detailed in the show, this statue just looks like a generic animated robot with an Optimus skin covering it. Actually, I think my real beef with him is that he reminds me far too much of that Target giftcard-case Optimus. I'll reserve judgement until I see him in action though.
Matty
Movieverse, I'd like you to meet Animated.
Optimal Fan
Meh, I'll check back when it is completed. This amalgam of ROTF and Animated isn't making me "jump out of my seat" excited. Call me when the figure comes out and I will get a more concrete opinion.
Paxtin
Iím going to reserve judgment till I see the actual in show model. This is just a statue based on the character design. How often are those actually 100% accurate?

As is, does seem like just a dumbed down Movie Prime...*Shrug*
OMEGAPRIME1983
this is.. defferent.. I like the animated feel of it though. And... did they swipe the transtech arm designs there?? Oh yea.. I went there.
Cheebs
Hmmm...

I love the movie designs.
I love Animated designs.

Do I like them together?

We'll see. It's a promising start.

Anyway, I love the guy standing there reading the Ikea assembly instruction sheet. "Bar 'A' slots into side 'G'...Aw, Hell! Did I install that thing upside down?"
SilverOptimus
I've been calling it "TFP" since the very beginning. Does this mean I get Royalties?

So, the Rumors are true then. Digitalscape FTW!!!
Cyber-Scream
Wow. That, um, looks stupid.
TfAnimatedfan
I liked Animated's style but I can't say I'm into this. Then again if this is ugly but has a one hell of a great story behind it I'll get used to it.
lambi
I don't mind the head and feet. But the shoulders and stomach don't seem right to me, especially contrasted to that super-square cheast!
Nevertheless, I'll be watching when it starts regardless.
Xanis
Looks pretty decent so far. Obvious blend of Animated and Movieverse...

Except that window chest... What the hell? It looks pretty out of place. The rest of him is curvy and flows nicely together but then you see to huge perfect squares for boobs. Not to mention that the windows have nothing around them but flat silver/grey metal. Maybe the statue is still being assembled... I don't know. I just hope something is done about the chest. It bothers me.
panzerjedi
movie prime that you?
DJW107PRIME
cool
funnystuff
wow that looks cool! very animated

This. I haven't seen too many completely accurate TF statues. Besides, he's standing in a pretty generic, boring pose, he would probably look pretty cool in action. I can dig this design for Prime: Prime.
Whelpd
It is animated/movie but it will probaly look better in the prime series
brawl569
needs bulkins up in the waiste and thighs also arms need more structure and more colour
Maetel
if they gonna give him gundam thighs, might as well add some waist/skirt armors to cover up the hip joints.
