I think its down to primes love of taking peoples face.... Unicron turned into one giant face so logically prime must use it as a giant trophy rack

I find it interesting that the Box has Hasbro and Takara markings on it.

I wonder if a two-pack like this might ever get a Hasbro release? I want to pick up a Unicron figure, but not bad enough to import one...

Where is the black Unicron

Oh lots of changes there :

The OP Micron has metallic paint on his arms and blades.

Optimus has painted wheel hubs
A Tampographed hood logo
Metallisized body panels for the truck mode (i.e. outer forearms and shoulders especially)
Shiny silver painted abs
Red inner forearms not transparent ones.

Could Unicron be slightly more orange than normal ?
He's got purple abs
Chromed head shoulders and right arm and the rubbery inserts on the arm are painted gold.
Painted crotch plate too.
Super mode crotch cover is chromed too
and the inner part of his legs visible in super mode is also painted metallic purple.

Reason for buying :

1) You get a spare Blue OP without having to buy two normal arms Micron primes.
2) You can give a Unicron two rock fists without having to risk breaking the toys by separating the arm (never separate the arm ever it just breaks it !!!!)
3) Nice extensive use of chrome.
4) Ideal for a start to a Hoard of Unicrons (TV style).
5) Unicron might even be better than the normal version.
6) No stickers !!

So depending on price I suspect I may be buying this set.

Now to try to see if it's possible to combine Unicron and Dark Guard Optimus Prime.

Not until March, apparently, assuming that's what Unicron Darkness turns out to be.

I know what that is and that's not what I was referring to (Megatron Darkest is technically February, I think, but it won't hit US retailers until March). I AM referring to a Unicron Darkness, which was intimated as coming out in March; this revelation came out at the same time we heard about the recent Dark Guard Optimus exclusive. We simply haven't seen any pics yet of Unicron Darkness (provided it is still happening, of course), but if it's nit happening until March than that's understandable.
