Transformers Prime "New Recruit" image of Smokescreen

I still say that's Starscream's head on a white Bumblebee's body and that maybe some people would want a toy of him but probably won't happen with Prime toy line doing not so good.

Cool, i'm excited to see a new character show up, and hopefully someday we see a toy of him. I doubt he'll be a repaint of anybody, as his model looks just different enough from anything else.

I wish he had less white.

From that image alone, the head looks more like a vertically-stretched version of Optimus' head, on a modified Knockout body.

Doesn't really look like the Smokescreen we all know ... but still exciting all the same.

I hope he's a spy or something, so that there will actually be something mysterious about him

He looks like a combo between KO, Prime, and SS. I wonder if he has any prior relations to any of the current characters on either side?

wasn't there an article recently that said Wal-mart was going to drop the Prime line? Could be a foreshadow, but dunno. Hopefully not.

I can't see the pic, gotta go onto FB to see it, but hopefully Smokescreen isn't actually sneaky, but everyone thinks he is. Would be cool to see he's keeping in contact with other autobots, but behind the earth autobot's backs, which makes him look bad, but he really isn't--setting up other characters coming soon.

Wal-mart dropping a transformers line=/= all the toy line doing bad , however waiting for the new episode and new smokescreen.

The mystery about this new bot? He's the lovechild of Ratchet and Starscream.

Bonus points if Hasbro doesn't plan a toy for him at all. On their expensive CGI show with a limited cast. Just like Unicron, Breakdown, Insecticons, and Jet Vehicon.

He looks like a kitbash of other characters, mainly Knockout. I guess the Takara figure won't be that unaccurate considering it's a retool of Knockout, I'm interested in seeing it.

I am a bit concerned though if the producers don't have enough $$$ to make even one brand new character models since Shockwave and the Insecticons this season and if they were going this route why not Hotshot?

You know, maybe I'm just not as jaded here, but I'm really not seeing the kitbash aspects.

I see a little of them. The arcs over his shoulder is like KO's except smaller. He has the pointy thing on his head like Prime. And his face is long like SS's and the red things down his head looks like SS's eyebrows.

I'm still kinda bugged by how generic his design is, but I'm just happy to have someone new for a change, as sad as that is.

He's not an edit of Knockout's model, he's just similar because his transformation is similar because it's the classic Prowl G1 toy transformation, which atleast 300 characters in this franchise share.

He's also a muscle car so he's going to have similarities with BB and KO.

I actually did that once I first saw this.

i was thinking prowl + Jazz, a little disappointing there don't seem to be any visual cues to Smokescreens "traditional" look

Why do I feel like this Smokescreen will be an amalgamation of Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen?

Smokescreen totally looks different from the G1 but hopefully he stays a while.

Okay why all the hate? We have seen what 5 seconds of the guy and already people don't like him? at least wait until the episode airs to cast judgement, yes he looks like prowl/blue streak but who cares he still looks bad ass and i see no resembles to Bumble Bee? he is way more Lean than Bumble Bee and yeah maybe his head look a little like Screamer so what? is it really a huge deal? I think he look badass and i hope he becomes a beloved member of Team Prime because so far the only Autobots i like are Ratchet, Bulkhead (He's out of commission right now), Wheeljack, and Optimus (Yes i know he is emotionless but i like him either way), i don't see the use in Bumble Bee if he can't talk or even use the F%&king Radio, and arcee is whatever to me, and when is the Prime Line of Toys not doing so well? last time i checked they are planning another 2 or 3 waves and more voyagers. I heard that Smokescreen will get his own figure, along with Hardshell and Shockwave

i don't see why anyone would hate him, to be fair he is isn't a too painfull obvious repaint like dreadwing and i like his design which differs from the prime starscream and body looks like bumblebee because the vehicle he transform of course everybody want mainstream autobots in the show so they can't like new and freash faces rarely seens in transformers faces like smokescreen.

I'm happy with him any way he comes. I wouldn't care if they took Bee's body and put Prime's head on it and said he was a new guy. A new character is a new character and it brings more to the series.

And I see a lot of people wanting mainstream characters and all I have to say is Knockout. He's cool and he wasn't even around until this series.

His model looks like it was meant to imitate TFP Prowl, from the Jagex game. Would make sense.

Yeah i know what you mean, he is really an obvious repaint i can see some similarities but barely and i think that TF: Prime is bringing a lot of Characters that don't get shown much EX: Hardshell (i can't even remember the last time i saw him on screen except for FoC), Bulkhead (TF:A but other than that?), Airachnid (Besides Black Aracnia in BW and TF:A), Vehicons, Knockout and Breakdown (i barely ever saw them), Smokescreen, Dreadwing, Skyquake, Arcee (not much screen time in other series), plus their introducing a lot of new things, Different Colored Energon, Humans as villains, Ground Bridge, More information on the 13 Primes, Megatron and Optimus relationship how they became friends then enemies, the Relics, The Prime Sword, the list goes on so i for one am happy with the series yes there are some downs but there are a whole lot of ups especially the second half of season 2

what do they have against sticking with the G1 colors? no reason to switch to this boring color here. blue and red would have looked sweet.
