Transformers Prime Japanese Line Upcoming Releases

Our friends and sponsors Big Bad Toy Store have updated with new preorders for the upcoming releases from Takara-Tomy's Transformers Prime line. There's a few new pictures giving us our first looks at some of the upcoming releases plus confirmation that Skyquake will be getting a Cyberverse class toy in the Japanese EZ-Collection - so we can at least unite Dreadwing and his Spark-brother in our collections with the pocket sized toys!

The upcoming releases are as follows:

Main line -

AM-22 Dreadwing - comes with a fish inspired Arms Micron that resembles Beast Wars Depth Charge's rifle.
AM-23 Wheeljack - comes with an Arms Micron who becomes a sword, also has additional ports added to the front of his car mode.
AM-24 Breakdown Cyrus (aka Breakdown Silas) - only a CAD drawing right now, but the head is the "eyepatch" Breakdown head. Comes with a praying mantis Arms Micron that becomes a double-bladed gauntlet.
AM-25 Nemesis Prime - only shown in silhouette, this should be the black version of AM-01 / RiD Voyager Optimus Prime shown at the Tokyo Toy Show over the weekend.
AM-26 Smokescreen - again only a silhouette, this could potentially be a Knock Out redeco / remold.
AM-27 Ultra Magnus - this would be the Voyager Class Ultra Magnus on show at the Tokyo Toy Show over the weekend.
AM-28 Riperamu (Leo Prime?) - by process of elimination, we're guessing this one would be Leo Prime / Thundertron, the Voyager Class liger / peg legged pirate robot.
AM-29 Shockwave - Arms Micron version of Fall of Cybertron Shockwave. Arms Micron is not shown - Bumblebee's B.2. is used as a placeholder.

EZ Collection -

EZ-17 Optimus Maximus
EZ-18 Skyquake - shown only in silhouette, but it'll probably be a straight-up redeco of Dreadwing, with red weapons.
EZ-SP1 Autobot Team Set - giftset of Cyberverse series Optimus Prime, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet and Wheeljack
EZ-SP2 Decepticon Team Set - giftset of Cyberverse Megatron, Starscream, Knock Out and Vehicon.

No indication is given as to if the gift set versions will be altered from the initial releases.

Also up for preorder on BBTS right now are the Transformers Cap Bots, Captimus Prime and Capticon, and the mysterious United UN-32 Artfire.

AM-28 is probably Thundertron. It's the one voyager that was shown at the toyshow that would other wise be missing.

This is most likely thundertron/leoprime.
Pre-order does say they're waiting on translation.

Notes on pics:
Dreadwing looks nice but not sure of micron
Wheeljacks sword/micron ok, but jacky ruined by ugly add-on ports.

Does anybody know why there are two (presumably voyager) Breakdowns listed now? One does say (Cyrus) after it's name. But that doesn't immediately mean anything to me.

What about Silas? "Cyrus" is a mistransliteration of the katakana "サイラス".

Breakdown's body is now in MECH's hands and Silas is in need of a body.

Yup. The brush guard from the alt mode ends up on the bot mode's chest. Noticed this in the spy pics from Tokyo Toy Show. Reports also indicated that Silas Breakdown will have the eye patch.

It's not just you. It was stated elsewhere on the board that Hasbro releases would be going a little quite for a few months.

Since Arms Micron releases are usually a couple of months (?) after Hasbro ones, and some of those listings aren't due til well into the winter, it makes me think we'll be waiting a good while yet for Hasbro versions.

I'll wait for Magnus and Dreadwing to hit US shelves, mainly because I think we might be getting swindled out of a bitchin' hammer for Magnus and Dreadwing is in the next Voyager wave.

1) L's mispronounced as R, name not translating quite properly into Japanese. It's Basically Lio Prime.

Hopefully Hasbro has some of this for show at SDCC...

I temp preordered Silas, Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus, Dreadwing, Nemesis Prime, Lio Prime, Shockwave, and Artfire.

I'm pretty sure Hasbro will put out Dreadwing and Thundertron, but the others are unsure..

Preordered Nemesis Prime, SilasBreakdown and Dreadwing although I'll be cancelling them when/if Hasbro versions come up for preorder. Unless "Leo Prime" and/or Ultra Magnus turn up on the show, I'll be happy to wait for the Hasbro versions.

Yup, they had a Knock Out mold on display and it was reported then that it was being redecoed as Smokescreen.

Are people using the silhouette on BBTS as the reason why some are thinking it's a Bumblebee redeco? I think that's just a placeholder...they use the same micron silhouette for all of the Arms Micron listings without pics and not all of those toys are coming with B.2 as their micron partner.

This. esp. since the gimmick is forced on. That said, whoever photographed Dreadwing should be hired by Hasbro. Seriously that mold looks amazing.

The thought's been, in lieu of an earlier report/rumor that Shockwave would appear in Prime, that Takara will shoehorn the FoC toy into the Prime line that way.

Whether that means the FoC toys will not be released in United in the future (which would be very confusing given the new United Artfire preorders the PCCs being released under United) or whether there are no current plans for a Prime Shockwave toy so Takara's just preemptively using the FoC toy as a stand-in, or some other reason, is totally unknown and we probably won't know why for a while.

Yeah, from the looks of it, AM Dreadwing will only have that weird shark Micron, with no sword. The Hasbro one, on the other hand, will have it, so if it's the sword that's your primary concern, go for it.
