Is season 2 getting ready to air in Japan already? I thought they just started seaosn one not too long ago? If they aired season one and two without interruption it would take one full yar at the rate of one episode per week (pretty standard practice in Japan). They'll probably finish season two about the same time as the U.S. does.
I'd assume that rather than be attached to season two, they'll follow the fairly common Japanese practise of changing the opening and closing after around thirteen episodes.
2nd Opening Theme: "TRANSFORMERZ" by m-flo 2nd Ending Theme: "A Little Bit" by Clutcho

I still think it will be cool that they get all 52 episodes (season 1 & 2 combined) uninterrupted, but they will finish season 2 on 3/30/13, probably about the time Season Three is 8 or 9 episodes in depending on when season 3 rolls out in the U.S. |
^I bet it's doing terribly considering what they've done to most of the characters. They've turned it into a complete joke. And considering how terrible the opening and closing songs are for the show, I'm generally not impressed with Japan. Why do they always make jokes about US shows? It's a disappointment to me... I bet you anything that the second opening and closing are going to be worse than the first ones. Come on, Japan, impress me if you can. If you can't, I'm sending a note to you that says: "Stop dubbing US shows, they always turn out terribly!"
Thats the thing. Japan/Takara was at its best when its making its own Transformers shows. If they can't come up w/ any new ones then they should continue/finish the unfinished series such as Zone. More importantly, the Japanese image should be revived(yomegai). When I mean Japanese image I mean the proper terms Cybertron/Destron/Seibertron/Convoy.

So, you're saying that Takara should return to its least financially successful period in the history of the Transformers brand?

Transformers was weak at that time? Really? I always thought it was at its best when Japan creates a robot series. If Takara was calling the shots, Transformers Animated would have continued. Also, Japan did sort of really closed the storyline of G1 Spike era(Transformers to Headmasters) in contrast to the "unfinished Rebirth." It like spiritprime says, maybe dubbing isn't that great, unless Japan/Takara intends to go in a different direction.
I'd like to see the logic behind this. If anything it would have never gotten off the ground (given its US production with CN) and transformers:heroes would have been the show picked to go forward. (i did try and find a pic of the concept art but I for the life of me could not find any)
However, I still don't think these opening and ending songs suit this show.
