Transformers Prime Japan Arms Micron Terrorcon Cliffjumper, Soundwave & EZ Collection Images

Takara-Tomy have updated their online catalog with images of the second wave releases in the Transformers Prime Arms Micron line. The second set of releases includes the Japanese release of Terrorcon Cliffjumper - the first edition Cliffjumper with the alternate head mold as an undead version of Cliffjumper - as well as the sinister Soundwave. Each comes with a new, Japan-only Arms Micron partner. There are some new images here, which show off the toys and their Arms Micron partners - Soundwave is largely the same toy as in the US, just with his additional little scorpion sidekick - while in another turn up, Terrorcon Cliffjumper has gone from being a shiny purple to clear purple plastic - now looking like he is well and truly made from Dark Energon!

Also on the website with this update are pages for the two releases in the Japanese Transformers Prime EZ Collection - Arcee and Bulkhead - though their images (and presumably their toys) are the same as their US versions.

as for CJ its an oddity but not a must have for me

See, this is definitely nicer and more understandable than the entire metallic blue-purple we saw before.

i actually like soundwaves ports as they made them look like another added weapon instead of just a big bump and a hole. also the minicon is awesome and prob my favorite.

cj is cool but just totally out there, looks more like an exclusive as its such a random design choice. at least its the FE mold.

I KNOW I am the only one who feels that way, but the minicon ports, or rather 5mm peg ports are the BEST part next to the minicon for me. I love mounting all my TF's with super excessive weapons and this is perfect for it.

Well...damn. I was looking forwards to SolidPurple Cliffjumper as a base body. Clear's not bad, just not my thing. Debating getting him now. Do want Soundwave still though.

Bigbadtoystore is pretty awesome all around. Tfsource is great if you want someone to pick out a box in excellent condition for you and nobody packs items better than them. Toyarena might be the cheapest, but in my opinion their customer service isn't as good as the other stores I mentioned.

Let's put it this way, not counting shipping I saved 150-200$ ordering one of each on the Japanese Prime Line from HLJ compared to BBTS. And I am PRETTY SURE shipping, even EMS, isn't costing 150$.

Though I am def not a fan of the Takara line of PRiD - Terrorcon Cliffy is just so wonky that I kinda like him.

If I imported anything - it would be him. It's just sooooo bizzare. (Only thing I dislike is the movie-aesthetic design of Ravage.)

Oh, and poor Soundwave and those ports. So now SW is an unmanned drone gunship???

Btw, you want to compare this:

Ordering AM-01 to AM-14:

BBTS: 620$ before shipping
HLJ: 28800 Yen (347$) before shipping.

273$ difference. Sorry, I can't justify that for BBTS.

For the record (and fairness), if I was only ordering 1-2 items, I'd go with BBTS because it makes international shipping not worth it.

edit:: mind you, I decided to preorder from HLJ when the Yen was STRONGER against the USD (79 Yen to 1 USD), and now USD is getting stronger, my order's getting progressively cheaper via conversion rate (including shipping)

Haha, boy, they have been a little indecisive with this Terrorcon Cliffjumper figure. I preferred the darker solid purple (mostly because this clashes a little with the red parts), but I'll still get this; it has traded some "looks genuinely cool" points for "kitschy weirdness" points, but its final tally is about the same. Plus, you know... gotta have that Ravage.

Soundwave is looking about the same as the US release, aside from the minicon ports, but that baby Scorponok is a must-have. Looks like it can act as either a staff or a whip. Nice!
