I love his design. It's like the result of fusing G1 Ironhide and live-action movie Ironhide.

Well that seals it for me - Kup is a repaint and Ironhide was first.

Just looking at the headsculpt was enough to tell me that. It looks way more reminiscent of Ironhide than Kup. Plus the two arm cannons.

It's not bad, but it's more like WFC earth Ironhide than a Prime one.

Just looked at the dlx Kup shots. Yup, paint it black and red and it is sooo bought.

Nothing wrong at all with the head design. It's a great nod to G1, while the rest of the body incorporates the Bayverse designs. A great Prime design.

Love everything about this design. The head is the best part. I hated that movie head. Couldn't even tell who it was supposed to be.

I think it's already enough that Ironhide is a truck rather than a van...so having a G1 head is the perfect combination of G1 and Movieverse...having a movie-styled head would be a huge turn-off for me.

Ha, should have known Flip designed this when I saw the head on the packaging and toy. And I love this design, perfect blend of movie and G1, and it really balances the black and red well.

New and fresh doesn't always make it right. What's wrong with closer G1 homages considering that there hasn't really been a G1 homaged Ironhide in media for years? Granted it sucks he isn't in Prime, but damn I think it's about time that Ironhide gets his old head back.

This is why I love the Prime asthetic. It takes what was best out of the past series and films and make them into something awesome! Ironhide is a grand example of this.

I really wish they release Ironhide first before Kup!

Definitely love it. I do kinda wish we got him instead of Bulkhead, or in addition to Bulkhead anyways. An actual big, tough bot that LIKES fighting? He and Bulkhead could have a good arguments about violence.

The head looks fine to me- never liked the movie head design. Not to say that if they repainted this black and gave him that head I wouldn't buy it though.

Something about the face still doesn't sit right. I like the vehicle and for the most part love the bot, but the overbite jaw (attempting to hew closer to the lantern jaw on Bulkhead I guess?) makes him look derpy. All he's lacking is a big ol' metallic hayseed hanging out of his mouth or maybe a metal cigarette.

I suppose it would look and feel different to me if I had a CGI show model on which to base my impression of the toy, but without a show character I feel like this design is still only 99% there.

My nuts are drained, that's the most I've came in a long time. I want the deluxe NOW!

Ironhide looks like a heavy set Batman from The Dark Knight Returns.
