I keep flip flopping as to whether I want him or not...

He looks very very cool, but I have no desire to own him.

I know the feeling. If I do buy him it'll be mainly out of curiosity to see how he combines with PRID Megatron and Prime, rather than out of a desire to have him.

If that makes sense.

I bought him because I always wanted a transforming volcano and never in a million years thought I would get one. Colour me wrong


Actually, I would have been content with a non transforming Unicron like a build a figure thing (Transmutate). Getting one that transforms AND transforms into a volcano with a Unicron face is just icing on the cake.

^Solid! that looks every inch the bad-ass mould as close to being show accurate as possible. yeah me too. pre-ordered and paid for! maybe this may sound blunt, but obviously if anybody starts asking/hopping or says things like.."gee omg I'll wait for the eventual HASBRO release..'' of the possibility of releasing this mould Stateside, they somebody's going to loose an eye due to my nerd rage meter..

Man those colors are AWESOME. I really like the gold chrome too.

I might have enough interest to get him at US retail, but definitely not enough to import.

I preordered him mainly because I collect powered-up Optimus Primes. But now I think he's awesome enough to display on his own most of the time.

I dont know if I'm sold or not, but I will admit he's pretty damn cool.

This thing would have to be 80% bendy plastic to be released in the States

Looks great. This will keep my streak of collecting all of the show characters alive. I gotta admit, I was a little surprised they actually did a Unicron figure, but pleasantly surprised they did and that it turned out so well. Can't wait.

He looks nice. Proportions are good and the colors too. Spiked arms are a bit on the skinny side (seeing how the spiked club splits in half) but I think you can keep one arm with the full-sized spiked club and give the other arm a claw just like the show design. He'd look great in a Cyberverse display!

IRRC, AM's for Decepticons are more animal-based and there are no Dino AM's as such.
Read: Megs = Bat/Scythe/ Gorilla..KO = Crab, Breakdown= Rhinohammer, Soundwave = Laserbeak, Dreadwing = Fish/ray gun..Zombie Cliff = Jaguar, Jet Vehicon/ Vehicon = Iguana/ Boar..etc etc..
Unicron's is supposed to be a Mole/ Hedgehog of some sorts...

You do realize he could only *look* sharp and most of that is either not as sharp as it looks or made out of rubbery plastic? Japanese toy safety standards are almost exactly the same as ours these days.

That said, he's not getting a US release. I mean, come on, a character that was never meant to transform into anything turning into a techno mountain with his face on it? And good luck giving him a light-up fold out weapon that turns into his *left arm*. Unlike Breakdown, this guy was made to be an Arms Micron figure from start to finish.

I kinda like this unicron but hopefully they somehow alter the story so hes no longer earth or humanity moves to cybertron or something.... im nto down with cron being earth...seems really stupid. what if he wakes up again and says "F&^k it im transforming..." hopefully the writers fix that. As far as the toy depends on how big it is...if its big i want it..if its small...frack it...

Great writing imo. First off, if the Autobots ever beat and finish off the cons...there will still be a reason for Earth be populated with Cybertronians, especially Optimus because the ever constant threat of Unicron waking up. This also makes the Autobots a constant and always needed force and asset to Humans/Humanity as a species forever unifying them....since you know most evil force in Cybertronian history so happens to be the core of their home planet.

It is also a most excellent homage to Beastwars NeoUnicron...who was in fact Earth. Ah Neo Unicron, maybe some day will have a chance to own you.

PS: I can't wait for a KO company to knock this guy off and make him supreme sized or bigger!

I AM going to get this at some point, just need to save accordingly. I've wanted a Unicron, but I didn't want what was previously available, this is perfect. Unless, they do one even better for the Aligned-verse!

I want to like it, I just don't dig the lack of hands and weird alt mode... other than that I think it looks pretty cool.

Finally figured it out! He reminds me of Lavos from Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.

I kinda want him cuz he's a giant Rock Lord, but i doubt i'll get him unless there's a US release, which i also kinda doubt.

I love it when posters are so sure of something they have no proof of. Makes the backtracking that much more fun to watch.

And I'm not 100% sold on the alt mode, but he looks completely bad ass in robot mode.

I won't get it, but I have to say it'd look cool battling my Gurren Lagann.

He looks awesome...but just not Transformer-y enough for me to get. Like a WoW boss, or the ultimate Rock Lord. If he got released in the U.S., I'd probably get him, but considering the import cost and the fact that so much other awesome expensive TF stuff is coming out this year, looks like I'll pass unless reviews convince me otherwise.

Hes unique, and a bold deviation from other Unicrons. So what that he looks like foilage from Vermont or a pile of melted crayons in alt mode. I like him.

if the fore arms and shins weren't so stupidly 90's spiky there's a chance I'd be interested, but they are so I'm not.

Unicron looks gorgeous. I still probably won't get him, but it's just a stunning figure.
