Transformers Prime Gaia Unicron New Images

If you strain your ears to the wind, you might hear in the distance Vince DiCola's distinct Unicron theme, heralding the arrival of a new toy of the Chaos Bringer. Gaia Unicron releases in Japan at the end of the month and to start building up the hype for the new release Gaia Unicron was featured on the Tokyo Girl's Style segment at the end of the recent Japanese broadcast of Transformers Prime. Planet Iacon has taken screencaps from the segment, giving a clear look at this new version of Unicron, based on his Rock Lord form seen in the finale of Transformers Prime Season 1. Check them out - the Chaos Bringer is coming!

Cool to see the Nemisis Prime colours but I already bought the Unicron so I doubt I will be buying the two pack with that Prime.

Still lovin the Unicron, nice to see that his alt mode IS the volcano with the Unicron face and....can those girls look any more disinterested in that pic? lol

From foot to top of the head, it looks like it's not quite a leader but taller than a voyager (tho' if you're counting the shoulder horns and wings it's easily leader class.

Looks neat! I think I'll display ol' Uni with my Cyberverse figs for scale purposes. Good ol' Rock Lords goodness, heh.

Nemesis Prime looks pretty nice too. Wish there were better/clearer shots of him though.

And interesting choice of focus group, haha. Oh, Japan. Those girls don't know what to make of Unicron and looks like they couldn't care less. At least find some actresses who can feign a little interest for promotion's sake. XD

I think that was just bad timing for the picture, usually in these segments they're constantly rambling on and on non-stop.

He is "interesting" looking but thats about it, at least for me. Volcano mode is neat but unless he's put with cybervese / city formers it really wouldn't work for me. Not to mention the more room he would take up in that mode all spread out. If I did get him it would be to keep him in robot mode and I would pick up the TT version because I can only imagine the missing paint apps the Hasbro version would have.

It's the same colourscheme. That photo is just oversaturated/not colour corrected.

Can't believe people thought that that photo was indicative of real life. As if Arms Master Optimus Prime was going to be teal-grey and magenta...

Here's what Hasbro should do:
Take Takara's Unicron, make a few modifications, pack him with maybe two Cyberverse Figures, and release it in the U.S. Behold, the Rising Darkness Cyberverse set! Too bad it won't happen.... You know, for those that actually like Unicron.

Combining with the voyager Optimus mold actually makes a little sense now, since it's conceivable it was intended for Nemesis Prime and that Optimus may have been a placeholder in the earlier pics and stuff.

Real life pics or GTFO. As neat as this on camera TV pics are of AM Unicron, I would prefer someone to take clearer and sharper pics of the toy to make a more solid conclusion. Pretty neat transformation into a 'volcano'/ add to the fact that he can combine with PRID Prime and Megs, plus his rock-spaceship mode this just adds to the playability of the mould. Oh, and haters gonna hate!

TBH, I'd think he'd look a lot better in a flat, more rocky color scheme. The metallic-y nature and more G1-esque paint job detract from the figure a bit.

It'd also probably be even more impressive if they just didn't bother giving him any alt forms... oh and that silly combiner gimmick.

Thanx for the clarification. The colours in that pic look very muted. Then again everything in the new pics looks darker.

Good news is I won;t need to buy a second Unicron to get a Nemesis Prime.

It turns into a volcano. That's neat but honestly I can easily pass on this.

Armada Unicron stills works the best as the definitive Unicron.

Yeah, I think the Arms Micron Nemesis Prime is going to be the black and gold one. The animated version with muted colors might look a little too Shattered Glass for Takara so they're going to change things up like they did with Terrorcon Cliffjumper. Just my prediction.
