Well, that's your opinion.
I on the otherhand find his resourcefulness, tactical and strategic thinking appealing. It's his leadership that has allowed Mech to survive against Cybertronians that have superior firepower.
I also see that there is also some sort of bravery in the character; choosing to stand up against Cybertronians and even his own past employers.
I'm interested in what could have driven Silas to become like this. And what more he can show.
The title has it right, imo. Silas has a 'human factor'. As much as people may dislike him, he has some of the best human qualities. He is a top of the line product of humanity in education, training and experience. As wrong as he is, I still want to see how far one of humanity's best can go when enhanced by a Cybertronian body.
BB Shockwave
Being voiced by Clancy Brown is the only interesting or memorable thing about him, really. So far, he has been nothing but dull and boring.

I can see them going really hardcore with him. He can be the human controlling a Con body, which gives him the durability that organics don't have along with his military training. So, he could end up being an even cooler bad guy if he keeps his synthetic body.
Flashdisk
I'm hoping they develop Silas even more. Maybe becoming even more dangerous. I think Silas could become a truly memorable villain for current and future generations of fans.
This is pretty interesting, imo.
Hypershock
Exactly! it'd be perfect!! Plus, if he's trying to masquerade as Breakdown, here's one thing they could do: test the synth-en on Silasdown, but since he's nothing but a mechsuit there are no adverse effects and they think Knockout has perfected the formula. They then give it to some vehicons and they go crazy, making them suspect that all is not right with Breakdown. Pure speculation, but i'm excited to see how this plays out nonetheless

Silas: "I'm in your Breakdown, stealin' your Decepticon secrets."

I don't see Megatron actually bothering to keep MECH around until they no longer are any use to him.
TFW10
Silas will serve his purpose for the time being and Megatron will get rid of him.
Who knows Megatron will use Silas/BD has an experiment for the Synthetic-Energon. (We'll see)
shroobmaster
Plus it's not like Mech is interested in making sentient robots that could go insane with Synth-En. Synth-En for them would be just as good as normal energon if not better.
Hypershock
That was actually what i thought they might do at some point, because now that they have the ability to engineer Transformers in some capacity, they are now in the Energon race more or less, and that seems like a good place to return to the Synth-En plot point
BB Shockwave
I'd expect Knockout will be against this and do something to bring Breakdown back… but I learned the hard way to lower my expectations for the series.
Meta777
Silas-Breakdown meets the 'Cons. This could be very interesting. I wonder how KO may react to this development.
It may be from Cybertron, but without a Prime to activate it's true function, even Megatron admits it's just a fancy hammer.
janeDoe001
That or study it's technology. It may be useless without a Prime but it's still from Cybertron.

Megatron said that they were "unable to locate Breakdown's signal" not that his signal "went offline" like Ratchet said when Cliffjumper died. Remember that Ratchet was unable to locate the Autobots' signals and Soundwave was unable to locate Megatron's signal when they were in Unicron's spark chamber, and Ratchet was unable to locate Orion/Optimus' signal when he was on the Nemesis. MECH could very easily have some type of signal jammer.
You have to actually be dead to be considered "killed off". There is no evidence that Breakdown actually died. His body was in pieces, but his chest wasn't really damaged.

Looks like things will be coming to a head by the end of the season between Starscream, Shockwave & the red energon on one hand and the Decepticons & whatever arrangements they organize with Silas/MECH on the other
The only thing I could see Silas doing with the forge would be to use it as a bargaining chip with the Autobots for the SynthEn formula or something like that
Brave Magnus
I am very excited about this episode!!! I am very curious to see how things turn out!

I was wondering the same thing; he seemed to have a hard enough time keeping a lid on his feelings/intentions when Megatron ordered him to repair Soundwave's faceplate in the last few episodes. So when he sees his old partner Breakdown mutilated or enslaved to a human – if that's how this episode or one thereafter plays out – well, we'll see.
If memory serves, Ratchet did say something about even Megatron not being a ghoul, so there are (probably) lines they won't cross and hence things that would push the buttons of some Decepticons.

I….do not find the sila's storyline to be interesting at all. But at least it's not Miko driven.

Well…if TFP Megs holds his usual intolerance against humans–as implied by Starscream, then Silas probably won't get very far….unless Megs thinks it will HELP him in some way…either way, in the end, Silas is a goner….or bits of him could be. Just can't see Megatron liking a techno-organic in any shape or form.
Just have to wait and see how the TFP gang write this one to play out.

What makes you think the whole hive's gonna bite it?
