Transformers Prime Dark Guard Optimus Prime In Hand

whkvictor of HK-TF has shared some in-hand images of the Transformers Prime Dark Guard Optimus Prime. As you may be aware this one is a Japanese store exclusive only available through the Yodobashi Camera chain of stores (and only some specific outlets at that). He uses the First Edition mold and as these in-hand pictures show, the mold looks rather sharp in black! Open the link above to check them out.

Yeah pics are dark and would like to see the legs better as I fear from the rk pics they ate a weird brown color.

I love this mold, but that color scheme...just can't get myself to buy this...maybe those colors are popular in Japan for some reason???

if the window areas were unpainted like that horrid FE reissue, i'd be pissed, yes.

Just saw this guy at the Yodabashi Camera here in Tokyo for around 4800 yen. He looks pretty neat but wasn't my cup of tea, so I passed on him. Did pick up AM Smokescreen and Silas Breakdown though.

I love the gold against the black but the brown just looks out of place. I might get it if an online store ever has enough to clearence out haha

The combination of Black, Grey and gold with a dark bronze-brown is very similar to some Dark tone limited edition Sentai toys I've got.I think the FE one looks a little odd with no door mirrors.

The good thing about the black version is there's no problem with the red heels. I hope the repaint FE Bulkhead sometime too.

Are the dual swords the Dr. Wu silver ones that you just painted? If so they look very nice!
