Transformers Prime Coming to the CW Network's Vortexx Block

If true, this'll be great. Would certainly be nice to see the show on TV...getting the show's DVD's would certainly help...though I've only ever seen the season one DVD once, and I haven't at all been looking for the season two set...

Well with Season 3 being completed they're already reaching 65+ episodes. That's the syndication number isn't it?

We will probably see Prime airing in more channels after that.

I caught the end of one of the commericals on my cell. I'll try to get the full thing if it airs again this morning (I forgot to zoom on the bit I captured, so it isn't as big as it could be).

Yes, 65 is needed for syndication. Though, usually, all 65 air first before moving to another channel.

Don't know if this has been reported or not, but Transformers Prime premieres on the CW Network on December 8 not sure what time though. Please delete or close if this has been reported already.

It's true I just saw a commercial saying it is coming dec 8th when i first saw it i coundnt believe what I was seeing but I am glad since I don't get the hub

Well this is a surprise! This means that more people will have more acess to the show since CW doesn't have a package that you have to buy.

Vortexx replaced Toonzai on the CW when Saban bought out 4Kids (yay! 4Kids is dead!!). It's just the name for the CW's Sat. Morning Cartoon Block.

Damn, people beat me to it. yeah, it's on December 8th...the commercial idn't show anything from the show, just the title, but it shared the commercial with a promo for John Cena, also coming December 8th. Thi is pretty good for those that don't have the hub (and while the eps will be terribly behind...) it's better than nothing. Wonder if other HUB shows will share the same fate

I think there was a commercial shown during the end credits of a couple other shows that did show some clips from the series.

I'd be more concerned with the show being edited rather than being behind The Hub's broadcast. A bunch of Vortexx's shows have seen the clippers.

Vortexx (sounds like a porn channel) is a Saturday morning program block on the CW. (Formerly known as the WB channel)

Anyone who has digital tv, satellite tv, or cable will receive the CW network. (Since it's a local channel)

Official Site of the CW Network | CW Television Shows | CW TV (check your local listings). It was the channel that used to have Smallville, & currently airs Arrow. As someone mentioned, it was formerly The WB.

It's called Syndication (First Run Syndication, specifically -- Syndication usually requires 65 eps., which Season 3 gets Prime to). TF: Prime will start over on the CW. Eventually, it should air Season 3 (possibly this time next year, or maybe not until 2014, partially dependent on how the channel is airing it, but mostly on when Season 3 finishes airing on The Hub).

Could this be a sign of the end of the hub?

That sounds great, at least for getting more people into the show. I had the Hub during season one, but lost it during season 2. If they air season 3 at the same time then that'd be awesome.

I doubt it. They're getting more and more shows. I've heard they're getting animaniacs.

As I mentioned a bit ago, Hasbro wanted Prime to reach at least 65 eps. 65 eps. is the magic number for what is called Syndication, where other channels buy a show airing (or finished airing) somewhere else to reair on their channel. It was always Hasbro's plan to put Prime into Syndication; there's no other reason to aim specifically for 65 (as the lower limit) eps.

The CW is a US broadcast Network. Vortexx is the CW's Sat. Morning Cartoons [4 hour] block, run by Saban.



Anyone (in contries that allow streaming from the site) who can't wait a year or 2 for Season 3, I post here when the Hub Website uploads the latest eps. (they usually uploaded the Thursday after it airs on the Hub).

So you mean the CW as the channel that used to be WB? I didn't know there were still SAT AM cartoon blocks on that channel anymore, the last time I saw one was when they still aired Chaotix and the horrible One Piece dub. How is it that CW might get Prime over Cartoon Network, which I thought this topic was about, of all channels?

That's unexpected. I didn't think Hasbro would never do business with CN again, after the whole Animated fiasco.

But I guess all bets are off now that Prime is about to reach syndication.

Actually it's not going to air on CN. It's on a different channel called CW which used to be the WB and from what I've heard it doens't pull the same garbage that CN usually does with most of it's shows like Thundercats.

Well this is good news because it means more kids can see the series now which might help move the Transformers Prime toys quicker. Now they don't need cable, Netflix, or questionable means to actually see the cartoon.

Also it's just rather cool that a place is seriously attempting to bring back Saturday morning cartoons. In an age of 24/7 cartoon networks there is still something sad about not having Saturday morning cartoon blocks so it's Saturday morning cartoons that you can see from broadcast TV. Doesn't hurt they have some other good shows in that line up.

I feel like this is something that really should have happen sooner toward the begining of the line rather then only just a few months or so away from moving into Beast Hunters.

Seems like it might leave a few kids rather confused.

I'm happy that the show will get more exposure, and I don't want to sound like a pessimist, but could this mean The Hub is not doing as well as Hasbro hoped? TF Prime is sort of their biggest boy's show on the channel, right? If people can watch the show elsewhere, does that mean The Hub might be phasing out?

Oh CW Network! I thought that said Cartoon Network. I was like WTF?

Cartoon Network kinda screwed Hasbro w/ Animated, so I doubt they'd get anything TF for a while.

Cartoons never left that channel (granted, for a while 4Kids was running the block, so the shows on there mostly sucked... & they kept repeating DBZ Kai's Frieza Saga FOR YEARS; immediately after Saban took over, they finally started the Android Saga). Though, they're restricted to 4 hours on Saturdays, but here at least, it's always had cartoons. The other channels have that e/i kiddie stuff (only a fraction of which is animated).

THIS (really, that's what the channel is called) also has cartoons, both a Saturday block & a weekday block (though, sometimes the weekday stuff alternates). Broadcast morning cartoons aren't dead yet (can't say the same for afternoons )

Again, Hasbro said they were aiming for a minimum of 65 eps. for Prime, & the only reason for 65 is that's the magic number to put a show into Syndication (other channels buying it for themselves). Syndication does not necessarily mean the original channel stops airing it (see Seinfield, which had new eps running on the original channel, & reruns on other channels), just that another channel will start from the beginning. Vortexx/ CW won't likely get Season 3 until the Hub finishes airing it.

The Hub isn't getting canned because they want to have Prime be placed in a syndication slot to at least 65 episodes. So that means the show can go somewhere else eventually if Hasbro wants it so.

Hell no. Teletoon is the best channel for Transformers. I mean YTV really has lost it ever since they removed Bionix (The anime block). Granted Teletoon doesn't play anime but it hasn't done anything to piss me off since.

Cool I can watch Prime now while I watch Dragaonball Z Kai.
