Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Shockwave First Image

Time to start working on that Voyager Quakewave, Fanstoys.

Too small to really say anything. Here's hoping that it's removeable armor and that we'll see it properly in a few days at Toyfair.

The armour is referred to as 'snap on', so perhaps all that red ...stuff... Is removable, just like with Smokescreen.

Snap On Armour. Good. I don't usually mind the Beast Hunters armor but orange on purple! That's the second ugliest colour combination to me.

As for the rest of the figure, as far as I can see, it looks pretty good, though the legs look a bit long. It's tank mode looks based on Animated's. I hope it isn't too small.

At first, I thought it was Optimus. After zooming the image, he has spinning cannons and snap on parts.. etc. Could be interesting.


Actually orange (yellows/reds) works opposite with purple as it has red/blue...it does work, but I'm not an orange fan either.

Be patient. We're lucky to have at least gotten this for now.

Need a better picture to see if I want it but at least this explains the coloring on Shockwave in this year's Bot Shot 3-pack.

It looks like the armor in alt mode gives him a semi-beast mode.

Yes! Thank you Hasbro for the removable "Armor", this is a definite buy for me!

His alt mode is the same as his new botshot if you un-chibified it.

My guaranteed purchase was never in question, even before a less than clear picture was revealed. Now that there's at least a hint as to what the figure looks like, I'm even more excited for it.
I am slightly disturbed by the potentially gimmick-laden cannon.

I always found the orange on some Shockwaves kinda weird, but at least these are removable!

I gotta see what TakTom does with this dude too, I hope they don't just give him the same Micron as his Deluxe like they did with Megatron.

... But yeah like, those wings he had in the show, those serve no purpose now I guess?

although the drawing of Predaking is very far from what 'what we got'

I keep wondering if they might be thinking that you can make some kind of giant beasty out of combined armour kibble. Shockwave's kibble seems to come with the feet for example.

If they did the same thing with some of the others (like say Insecticon) then you might be able to parts form an animal out of extra bits and if not it seems Shocky's armour maybe friendly to forming a little spider or crab out it it.

I'd like that it might be like an update of Actionmaster Shockwave's drone sidekick.

It looks like some of those later art pics maybe remoulds of some of the others with things like new heads and tails..

There's some curious gaps in that guide book though - no Weaponizers for example. I wonder if they might be delaying some reveals until a comic convention or Asian show.

I like that the blub is written from Shockwave's point of view.

"Note to self ; No more two headed beasts" for example.

This looks really, really, really awesome. That orange stuff looks removable. VERY removable. Those shoulder things are way too... not-attached. And that chestplate just looks like some kind of weapon slapped on him, usually BH armor that's not removable actually is very obviously stuck on.
With that out of the way, I'll wait for better pics to judge its de-beastified mode.

Ugh. Smokescreen is officially Bumblebee 2013. I've already got two different versions of that mold.

So sick. Beast Hunters continues to put the predictably mature RID line to shame.

Interesting stuff. It looks like his alt mode is either a tank or gun turret, with the armor changing it into a beast mode.

Wasn't sure what to think of Shockwave based on the small image, but after seeing the larger version, he actually looks kinda cool. What I originally thought was a robotic lobster he was holding turned out to be his alt-mode, and a nice reference to his Animated design's alt-mode too. It's nice to know that those orange bits will be removable. That said, I can't say that I'm going to get him. I'll wait to see better pictures, and a review or two...maybe even a good in-hand look, before deciding.

Looking through the rest of the pages...I was kinda hoping that Prowl wouldn't be a Smokescreen repaint, but now that I've seen him, I'm going to have to get him. He looks great, but most importantly, the JUSTICE HAMMER is too awesome to pass-up. I'll get Smokescreen's Deluxe, and the Legion Prowl.

Given the sketch-ups and dedicated pages to the Abominus members, I wouldn't be too surprised if they actually make an appearance in the show. Meaning they could get larger figures. That said, I may just get the Legion Hun-Gurr and call it a day...lol

Underneath that daft orange armour it seems to be a pretty good figure.

I'm not sure about the gun arm though. It seem to split for Transformation but it looks weird in robot mode. Would it look better and work good closed for robot mode?

Alright, the armor is removable and the gun rotates, thats cool! I do wish we get clearer pics of the figure soon. The alt. mode looks fun without the orange armor.

It's good that the armour will be removable, but I'd rather all that orange shit wasn't included to begin with and the resources went towards a bigger and better main figure instead. Figures get downsized and hollowed-out and then they add in stuff like this. Just like with most Mech-Tech extras the armour parts will probably just be thrown into a box somewhere or carved up for something else. May as well have just given Shockwave a traffic light accessory for all the useful appeal this armour stuff has to me.

You forgot one of the earlier pages in the booklet that was important; it showed official images of the Cyberverse Prowl and Hun-Gurr! Sadly, Prowl is just a Smokescreen remold (adds police lights, etc.). We already learned that Hun-Gurr is a new mold.

...OK... so far most BH molds (to me) have been interesting... but the color schemes... that's some G2 ****. Wait no, I think I'm offending G2 by saying that... but srsly... who is in charge of the colors for these figures!?

Shockwave is as good as got/bought.

I figured Cyberverse Prowl would be a Smokescreen and I knew I would want him regardless. I hope they back off of this mold the rest of the year though. I already have the playset version as Sideswipe. I thought Smokescreen would have a mold he'd be recognized for, but he had company arrive quick.

Cyberverse Soundwave is a definite must have.
