With only 16 episodes -I think that's the number-, I'm not sure they have time for another 'Megatron gets betrayed' arc, or if they even should. It's been done enough for me. But there's always the off-chance that Shocky's staged this little incident.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too, with the distortion over the name. It's a bit late to try to keep the Predacons under wraps, surely? So I wonder if it's actually someone else.

While the video was cool...I feel that it was basically a commercial for the new toys and the new direction for the show. Since (like you said), nothing feels like it was taken from an episode, and it doesn't show much (besides Shockwave, who is awesome).

Personally, I believe this trailer foreshadows a possible Predaking going rouge. Just my thought, at least.

Given Shockwave's basic movements, the lower quality look of the animation, and altered/different voice, I'd say that this clip is intended to advertise the toy line more so than the actual show.
It also doesn't help that this clip doesn't in any way line up with what we've seen of the upcoming episode so far, in that Shockwave seems to have Predaking on some sort of leash. Whilst here, he's lost total control of him before even getting to Earth.

It does look like to be more for the toys then for the show. Though the Predacons can break away to form their own faction later on which is possible.

This is most certainly for the toys. If it was for the show, then it would of said 'Transformers Prime', then shown the Beast Hunters symbol like in the trailer.

which makes me wonder... Are we going to See a Arc involving Megs and Prime having to team up ( More than half an episode w/ Unicron) to ensure both Autobot and Decepticon survive? This could also be a perfect spot to bring Thundertron and the star seekers, as they hate cybertronians- Thundertron could see the predacons as a tool, a way to finally take his revenge

Kind of meh, at the bit where it glitched and he said they were out of control I kind of thought 'ooh, Dinobots' but it just looked like a predacon to me, which is a shame.

Hmmmmmm it would appear that the Autobots and the Decepticons will be forced to fight side by side against a common enemy. I like complicated story developments like this...deeps the characters and really tests their resolve.

It would be sweet if this was in the show, but right away I noticed the animation is low quality. I could see this being an ad for the toys...then again, why would they not show the characters if they're trying to sell them.

I think the low quality is part of the effect of the ad, that shockwave's Lab is in ruins, and the "transmission" is kinda of crappy on purpose, to help create the "seriousness" of the situation
