Good to have some confirmation, as if this wasn't inevitable anyways. Though it's not like the season three finale will be the actual ending. We've still go the movie to look forward to, which should handle that.

So... shorter AND FINAL season... four episodes to start and then a month break... BLAH
I hate that they have a great series going and then they decide to cancel it then start a new series next year? This is dumb. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

Wait, was it confirmed the movie will be a side-thing? For all we know it could very well be the first five episodes tied together into one. I skimmed over the news so I might be wrong here. ![]() Let's hope Prime goes out with a bang.
Actually, I think it's the final three episodes of the original 16 count. Might be the first. Either way it's three, bringing it to 13 + movie (3 episodes).
I'd cancel it too. I'm tired of the "no more than five" characters per series. And really what Deceptions have there been in the past two TV shows outside of Megatron, SS and SW? Hardly any to even remember or care about. Where are the seekers, the coneheads, reflector, etc? If they do another TF series I hope they start including more and more people. Get back to the G1 stuff, give us some depth!
Try being a Thundercats fan...One great season just to end it for no effing reason...
I thought the movie was an entity of it's own, rather than would-be episodes edited together...?

At least the series will come to a conclusion rather than being cancelled in the middle of the plot. I'd rather the series end now then get cancelled half way through a fourth season. I think this series was always intended to be a 3 season show. That being said I'm looking forward to the next incarnation of Transformers. I've loved every American made show (G1, Beast wars, Beast Machines, Animated and Prime) so as long as it's still American made I'm sure I'll enjoy.
I think I watched a different T-cats than you. I watched a show that had 26episodes to its season and only got half way through the plot. 26 episodes and 3 out of 5 or 6 gems, really? That show got canned because it went nowhere and fast and I'm sure it bored kids to death. I will admit the show had a heap ton of potential and was more entertaining than the original show but it's just that there came a point where the show stopped moving forward and it went stale.

The show got really good ratings, even after Cartoon Networks forced six month break with very few re-runs. They killed the show because they weren't making it, and they weren't making any money off of it. The show was doing great, but Bandai screwed up their toy-line, and Cartoon Network doesn't know wtf it's doing anymore...
Yeah it sucks, but I keep hearing that it will just go into another series. The voice actor of Shockwave and BW Depthcharge has said on his face book page not to believe the rumors that its not a end ending. That something else will be on the horizon. Unless he's talking out of his butt.
"RE: Wrap party for Prime... All I'll say about that is, don't believe the rumors... a lot of what I've seen written about the supposed demise of Transformers Prime just isn't true. Stay tuned for details!! 16 February at 04:41 " https://www.facebook.com/pages/David...ref=ts&fref=ts Posted on Feb 13th. So, as many suspected/knew. The future show is going to follow on from Prime, like Hasbro said (regarding the aligned continuity going forward)
You should try watching Young Justice. Actually watch any Cartoon that fits in the same target audience/genre as Transformers. They all take breaks after a few episodes. So much hate in this fandom. lol

Why is it that almost all new cartoons only have a certain number of characters in it. Like Prime you only have a few Autobots and Few Decepticons, if they add a new character they kill one off or kill off the new character.. Are these people that do these new shows not able to handle bringing in a bunch of new characters? Look how many G1 had in the cartoon. I really wish they would break the rutt and go back to bringing in new characters left and right, then maybe they could go on longer then 3 seasons.
Then you're left with a lot of undeveloped characters with no personalty. Wanting the need for more characters in TFP is understandable but even if the CGI wasn't the issue or even if they used 2D animation instead having characters appearing left and right will not only be unrealsitic but hurts the overall dynamic of the existing characters. That was one of G1's most infamous flaws.
I agree completely. Small casts are better for the overall story. I do wish Prime had a few more guest characters that didn't die, or that it didn't off so many characters (Decepticons) but you can't fault it for not having the gigantic, ridiculously so, sized cats of G1.
