Transformers Prime Arms Micron Darkness Megatron and Jet Vehicon in Hand Images

Following on from the in-box pictures from earlier today, Robot Kingdom has now shared some full out of box in-hand images of Japan's Transformers Prime Arms Micron series Darkness Megatron and Jet Vehicon. Darkness Megatron as you can see from these images looks very sharp with the chrome and black contrasting nicely, with the demonic clear wings from his Micron Hades giving a nice effect in robot mode. You can also see how he comes with additional scrollwork stickers for extra detailing, these are seemingly inspired by the gold scrollwork seen on Generation 1 Galvatron in some of the vintage artwork. Jet Vehicon meanwhile looks great, if bizarre in alternate mode (though as some are quick to point out, yes they do look somewhat like that in the show!)

Nice! I'm digging that purple on the Jet Vehicon. It's a nice Classics Skywarp style purple which I like a lot.

The Jet Vehicon's vehicle mode just looks horrible. I'm definitely not going to wild with the troop building for this guy.

Wow, that Megatron. Eeugh. Its a real shame, in the nice dark grey that his arms and legs are he'd look great. Slathered in obnoxious chrome this isn't even amusingly bad like G2 or AM Thundercracker, just regular bad.

I do actually like the pink on the vehicon, but that vehicle mode is not fantastic. It certainly isnt anything I'd pay takara prices for. I'll stick with my regular vehicon.

Do people realize these deluxes are only like $18 each at asia online shops and shipping is as low as $6 a deluxe to the USA

I got 2 arms micron deluxes shipped for $48

At store 2 hasbro deluxes cost $32
2 hasbro deluxes on ebay because they arnt in store = $50-60

Incidentally, going by those 'no photos' photos from that Japanese exhibit, i think Darkness Megatron's box matches the one for Gaia Unicron.

Megatron looks like an absolute mess (as I'd expected), but I like the Jet Vehicon a good deal. I'll see if I can't order one or two once my parents have had some time to forget my recent purchases and get off my back.

Loving the look of Vehicon - got mine on pre-order from Kapow. But that Megatron is all sorts of urgh. A novelty item at best IMO.

I love that Megatron, but the Dark Energon version of the figure looks so much better. So i'm saving for that.

I like how Megatron looks. The Chrome looks a little out of place but I like the shade of gray on his other parts a lot more then the Hasbro version.

The Vehicon looks alright, but Megatron's chrome is henkei level ridiculous!

the only thing that has potential are the Megatron's arms microns....but I'd rather get the BBTS dark energon than this blinged out megs, I mean mess... Fo'sho, Fo'sho!!!

Well thanks to BBTS's Dark Energon exclusive comming out later It shall be the Voyager Megatron I pick up.

Jet Vehicon's jet mode is so ridiculous. I think i'll pass.

I think BBTS Dark Energon Megatron looks better. The chrome on this one doesn't look very good honestly, it looks like it even covers the brushed steel detailing. It should have been shiny like the Takara Animated toys.

The micron is nice however, considering I'm not too much into the arms micron minicons.

The initial images were very misleading. The vehicle wings don't become wings, they become kibble in robot mode.

Doubt Robot Kingdom will cancel my ridiculously expensive pre-order, though.

I can see why the Jet Vehicon is clearly a Japan exclusive. Just look at all those Micron ports on the wings.... odds are they wouldn't want that many in the US version. And you can't really cut stuff off of the mold that easily.

As for Megatron, I must be one of the few people that loves that chromed-out deco. Mind, I'm also one of those who is buying it by default because it has a Lugnut minicon.

Wow, Jeticon is very very fuchsia, bordering on hot pink. Otherwise, he looks pretty cool, mold-wise. As for Megatron, he looks pretty nice in a G1 gun throwback way.

Glad I pre-ordered the Jet Vehicons from Robot Kingdom! Can't wait for them to get here!!! I'll have 3 regular Vehicons and 2 Jet Vehicons!
