Hub Network have released a 30 second promo spot for the Transformers 30th Anniversary marathon – which kicks off at 11am ET, 10am CT on July 4th!
The marathon promises to celebrate 3 decades of Transformers action which going by this promo clip will include Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising, Transformers: Rescue Bots and the original Transformers: The Movie. We’ve also been promised a special sneak peak at the next Transformers show, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, which is set to arrive in Spring 2015 and usher in the beginning of Transformers’ fourth decade.
It’s a celebration of all things past, present and future – and it’s happening this Friday, July 4th. Check out the promo of this Independence Day Transformers marathon below!

I think Transformers movies would sell better than 2 GI Joe movies put together whether we get a good director or bad
Fallout
what happened on cybertron monday?
Timothy.R
my thoughts exactly.

I knew something smelled fishy when that latest Transfourth of July commercial lacked the teaser of the new RID preview.

Hmm… Odd they would show that version, but I guess its the only one that would be best rated for kids in this day and age. It was actually released by Rhino on VHS (After the original FHE & Avid VHS versions) but prior to being released on DVD

It's the UK version, which, oddly enough, is not even the one on my Metrodome Blu Ray, which is PAL. I own four versions of the movie, and I don't think that's on any of them. (Rhino, 20th, Metrodome, and the Chinese tin box set. It might be on that, but I've never watched that one. I doubt it.)

Probably not the worst thing Hasbro will ever do, but still a pretty shitty thing to do.
Especially given it was a big draw to get people to tune in only to take it away with no explanation as to why, you can't fault people for feeling a bit betrayed, or at the very least jerked around.

It sucks that they ended up not showing the preview, but oh well. That'll leave more for them to reveal at SDCC. Hopefully alongside something from the show's toyline.

Not sure if it's true or not, but I've heard somewhere that parents were mad that Spike cursed, and that Optimus Prime died. So they had to edit the curse word out, it's probably the version they showed.

I watched the movie on the Hub today, but I was wondering what version of the movie this was.
There was an extra narration by Victor Caroli before the "it is 2005" speech and also at the end about optimus returning before the end credits began.
I have the 2006 US Sony DVD, and the old Rhino DVd and I never heard this before.
Thanks

Does the Hub have the rights to show those?
Edit: Very disappointing no preview was shown.
optimusmegas
and that's why a single transformer movie made more than both gi joe movies combined…he's soooooooooo bad at what he does

Bunch of idiots. If all you ever knew was Hasbro, you'd think running anything simple is the hardest thing ever to do. You'd think no promise was ever kept.
Amazing they can run a business. Maybe they can't?

You got me…

The gifer strikes again!
that smile seems pretty trolly.

I was on the Hub's facebook and on the post to page, it's filled with people asking why we didn't get the preview
TheSoundwave
I was suspicious of that preview thing ever since it was announced. Seemed like another "Cybertron Monday" or "Trailer Tuesday".

I agree, I mean at least they apologized for cybertron Monday. You'd think they would learn from their mistakes, and give us a heads up this time.

Tell that to your sig…
