Takara-Tomy Transformers Prime Toys Website Update

Takara-Tomy has updated their Transformers Prime Toys website with high-resolution images of their June releases. Up now on the website are robot, alternate mode and Arms Micron pictures of AM-07 Starscream, AM-12 Breakdown, AM-13 Medic Knock Out and AM-14 Decepticon Vehicon. All four are due out at the end of this month, which will also mark the first time that Breakdown has been available outside of the Cyberverse scale - and as demonstrated by pictures of the cases at the Tokyo Toy Show, he makes a great companion piece to Knock Out.

Why the hell does Screamer have a tiny Soundwoov?
TFKaiser
I certainly hope Breakdown makes a U.S. release with this mold. It's sold out on BBTS and TFsource. ><
Ryoku
God I need that Breakdown.

I have to say im pretty impressed with the vehicon's placement of the mech tech ports. putting them on the side up front just makes them look like grill extensions without being too obtrusive. happy ive got a few on preorder and HOT DAMN that breakdown. is it july yet?
Warpshard
The Vehicon's gun doesn't look like it transforms into anything. It has one tiny trait of a crocodile, but that's it. Everything else kicks aft to say the least!

Personally I think it looks like it transforms into a hog. the barrel opening looks sort of like a pig nose, hes got some tiny little tusks on the side of the barrel, and up top it looks like hes got a line of fur sticking up, almost like a razorback.

This..

Breakdown is the only one Im interested in, but I might get that gun for my vehicon. Everything else is an easy pass
ThisGuy
I'm so glade I preordered breakdown from robotkingdom. Last I checked they still had some so the people that still need to should do it soon. That is one figure I would be pissed off to miss out on.

I love the Breakdown....too bad we arent gettign him in the states as hasbro has yet to give any indication he's being released here. Wonder why japan is getting all the good stuff (mostly) the last few years. Seems like hasbro is not really liking the US market anymore.

Yes, he is supposed to be a boar, his name is Nozi and that comes from Inoshishi (boar in Japanese)

Their release is quite soon, I am very looking forward to it
dmc2008
Those figures look awesome but at the stickers! Sadly, that has ruined this entire line for me, and I'm staying away from buying imports that skimp on paint.

I have faith that Hasbro will release that Breakdown. Then again, they've let me down before...
Wingnut
Breakdown just keeps looking cooler every time I see him.
GreednGluttony
i'm definitely getting that knockout
zannus
I am so regretting not preordering Breakdown, not because I don't expect Hasbro to release him, but because his micron works great with him and I know whatever weapon Hasbro gives him will look like trash.

Toy show pics don't have me convinced.

I won't be certain Takara didn't screw Breakdown up until i see an actual retail toy out of package.
PoweredConvoy
These pictures are about 3 weeks old now.

The update was on 5/30.
Optimus Prime
Breakdown looks magical. Here's hoping we get a U.S. release that doesn't have the Arms Micron ports or the stickers. I might buy this version just in case, though...

Because of course they couldn't possibly be waiting for SDCC, one of the biggest cons in the States, to announce him right? I mean, who needs logic?
Anthony Adams
though i prefer paint apps to stickers, i'm seriously considering both the Vehicon, and Breakdown. I'm still waiting for the Vehicon to show up on amazon.co.uk though.

It looks like Screamer doesn't come with missiles, good thing i already got the Hasbro version.

I need to be a little more thoughtful about the figures i get, because i'm fast running out of display space, and storage space for the boxes...

Knock-out, i think i'll settle for the Hasbro version when he gets UK side (if he does)
Axelle
Even if Breakdown does get released in the US, I'm happy having the AM version pre-ordered. When/if we do get a Hasbro version, odds are it won't be until much later and I've waited long enough for a Breakdown as it is. Also: RHINOHAMMER.

If we get him stateside, it just means that all the people who weren't able to snag an AM one don't miss out.
And that I can pick up an extra one and customize it with an eyepatch.

Certainly not on this site, they don't. I mean, it's far more likely that the two unannounced moulds from Thundertron's wave are something completely out of the blue, right?

EDIT: I must admit that as much as the stickers and ports bug me on the AM version, the weapon is pretty awesome. If I find myself dissatisfied with the US version's, I'll probably wait till the Micron is available as a single and order that.
Arashistorm
Breakdown needs a hasbro release RIGHT NOW! looks too damn good. other than the d-con stick on the side and the orange lines going over his rear wheels, is anything else a sticker? damm--wish i preordered one forever ago but =[ you snooze, you lose?

Why wait for SDCC to announce they are releasing breakdown? By your "logic" they should have waited to release any concepts of Ironhide or Kup since they won't be released till after July...Logic indeed

I would say it has something to do with the fact that Breakdown has become something of a walking spoiler at this point, due to him dying and being used (presumably) as Silas' new body. Remember how DOTM Soundwave was withheld until SDCC for spoiler reasons too?
Bountyan
If they don't announce a Breakdown toy at SDCC I'll buy the Takara one at Ages Three and Up. Screw stickers though, I'm adding paint myself.

... Seriously?

1) Ironhide already came out as a Cyberverse figure.

2) The Ironhide or Kup deluxe, whichever actually is coming out, had to be solicited for stores months before SDCC, unlike Breakdown, who isn't coming out til much later.

3) Breakdown is a character from the show. Ironhide will never be on the show, and Kup isn't on the show and most likely never will be.

Never say never....with what they did to bulk in the season finale ( speculation is he may be killed) and if so they may replace our resident tough guy with Ironhide......though ideally it would be nice to have them BOTH on the show. It seems no one is safe in terms of survivability in Prime....they've iced CJ, Skyquake and Breakdown s'far.

They flat out said in no uncertain terms he will not be in the cartoon.

i will get breakdown and probably the other new ones off ebay.

got bulkhead arms micron for $59 shipped off ebay....same price as BBTS.
TylerMirage
Goodness gracious, that Breakdown.

I love his hammer, but it seems a bit...large. Almost awkwardly large. Not off-puttingly so, of course.

ironhide might be but only if the producers and creators of the show losen up enough money to make a final and official model of hoist or ironhide character and are probably taking a brake to make them so they can be shown for later episodes but who knows

im a bit disappointed in how Takara modified knockout it would had looked really good if it chrome highlights in robot mode and on his wheels and white strips in car mode but it still looks nice but i do love breakdowns robot mode which is very cgi and his metallic highlights as well as the vehicons purple and silver collors mix really good

Yeah, alot of the recent news here has me saving money for upcoming Takara releases: Masterpieces and some exclusives mainly. I'm also somewhat tempted to get this Breakdown, though I haven't got any AM figures yet.

Aside from the RiD wave 3/4 revision case, all I'm holding out for mainly would be something along the lines of a Hasbro version of Breakdown and some good wave mates.

They have confirmed, in no uncertain terms, Ironhide will not appear on the show.

Once again, I'm certain Breakdown will probably be in the Thundertron wave, possibly alongside Ultra Magnus.

Back on the toy itself, I'm still utterly puzzled as to how the mounting point for his hammer works...where does his hand go?

I think it goes under the forearm seeing that you have to flip the window piece forward to do the hammer gimmick (theres probably a hollowed out section for the hand)

Nnrrrrgh.... Breakdown is asymmetrical. HE IS ASYMMETRICAL. THERE IS ASYMMETRY AFOOT. THIS IS MY CALM BUT STILL DISPLEASED VOICE.

ETA: Just to clarify, the micron port on the hood.

Three new Voyager molds is one wave is fairly optimistic.

I think this is a pretty likely option, even though just yesterday someone insisted to me that the Breakdown mold being exclusive to Takara did not refer to the AM version specifically, despite being pulled up on this point.

That makes about as much sense to me as Hasbro not releasing Voyager Ultra Magnus or Thundertron either. I suspect the opposite point of view noted above stems from a fear that we will not get a Voyager Skyquake. That said, this may not be the time nor the place.

Hasbro did say at Botcon that the Wave 4 Voyagers would be three new molds. So optimistic it may be, but it's also what we have been told is happening.

Those minicons are growing on me, their alt modes are like little drones.
