Saitama Prime Revealed!

It seems we are not quite done with "The Primes of Japan" just yet, as a seventh has just been posted up by Snakas. Saitama Prime is the mascot of the Saitama region of Japan, and is based on Bumblebee. His regional influence derives from an alternate spelling of Saitama in Japanese (彩玉市 instead of 埼玉市), where the kanji for "Sai" (彩) can also mean "colorful".

It's based on how the region of Saitama, when spelled in kanji, can be written in two different ways - the alternate spelling uses a kanji which can also mean "colorful".

Looking up Saitama on wikipedia it looks like their official mascot is a Dove. I wonder if that has anything to do with the wings...

-ZacWilliam, heck it could be a double pun with both the "colorful" meaning and the story of noah's dove and the rainbow, though that's not a particularly japanese-y so it could easily just be a coincidence...
