2005 Boards member D-Drive has passed along to us some information from the online version of Previews detailing some new releases in Wave 2 of the Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commanders. According to the listing, Beast Hunters Cyberverse Commander Wave 2 will add two new characters into the mix – Trailcutter (aka Trailbreaker) and Hardshell – the David Kaye voiced Insecticon who played a pivitol role in Toxicity and Hurt in Prime’s second season.
There’s no pictures as yet as the listing was accompanied by a picture of Wave 1’s Bulkhead. Even so it’s two more toys to look forward to including our first Prime series Insecticon.
The full text of the listing follows:
TF PRIME BEAST HUNTER COMMANDER AF ASST 201302
A new faction has joined the fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons – the monstrous Predacons! This war needs leaders, and the Transformers Prime Beast Hunter Commander Action Figures give collectors the leaders they need! In addition to Predaking, Bulkhead, and Optimus Prime, fans will also find Trailcutter and Hardshell to collect!

That's a perfect digibash. I want that instead of the obvious Black Ironhide repaint.

HA… Har… Hardshell?
I love you Hasbro.

I know right! Commanders are pretty full of win in general. With Legions/Legends, it REALLY depends on the base design because there's just less you can do at the size.
Also, it's pretty rare to see actual retools of toys of either size…
Fortunately my wife loves Hardshell, yeeeeees.
WhiteMocha
Yeah, I think you're probably right. I only mentioned Bulkhead as an off-chance thing (and because in a way his mold is more suited to it). But I agree with you that Ironhide is the more likely repaint candidate.

LET THE TROOPBUILDING BEGIN.
I foresee at least one argument with my fiancée on whether or not it is appropriate to spend an entire paycheck on tiny Hardshells.
Paxtin
If it is, it's probably going to be Ironhide, given the Cy-verse Bulk already got a black repaint. Link
Too bad it's not Deluxe, cause that would totally have worked: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attac…353200565-digibash-dump-prid_trailbreaker.jpg

Hopefully with a Prime Hardshell and a FOC Kickback, Hasbro gives us a Sharpshot sometime too.
Sharktibolt
Oh wow, I saw cyberverse and completely didn't see commander. I didn't even realize Ironhide and Ratchet would have been different size classes. Forget what I said.
Although now I'm happier that these will be bigger and thus a little more articulate.
Anguirus
^ There's no Ratchet Cyberverse Commander.
Sharktibolt
I'm not really sure why people would think Trailcutter would be an Ironhide repaint/retool, I see him being a Ratchet repaint/retool if not a new mold. The shapes of the alt-modes are the closest.
That said, I'm looking forward to pics of both.

Cool story, now where's my voyager Hardshell/generic insecticons!
It'll be interesting to see if Trailcutter is a new mold or one of his own. If he was a deluxe, I figure'd they'd try to get another use out of Ratchet's mold..and that whole other head in the instructions that is AM Swerve looking

I would love that just because I don't have one in cv.

Hardshall is a sure buy for me, now if only they throw out a voyager one as well.
Autovolt 127
Cyberverse Hardshell..Thank God Hasbro isn't passing up to mkae a toy for the only beast character that's appeared in Season 2 for Beast Hunter.
But seriously Hasbro we need a Voyager (perhaps 2nd wave) pronto.
Trailcutter…I hope it's not an Ironhide retool. I'd love it if it was a new design.
Necro Prime
Thats cool. Now give us a Voyager Insecticon/ Hardshell!
Flexx Ark
We went through this same process when we got the Commander Ultra Magnus first. I believe a Voyager Hardshell is in the works.

Thinking about Trailcutter, I still think there's a good chance he'll be a repaint of the Ironhide mold, but I also think there's a good chance that he'll have a new weapon or two. Maybe even some new tooling to the body, like a new head or some spikes. No matter what, I'm interested to see how he turns out.
The Prime Cyberverse figures have been great. So much so that they're the only Prime figures I've gotten so far, and chances are that'll remain true for the foreseeable future.
