Posted on 02-06-2014 at 08:53 AM by StayingInTheBox under Transformers Prime
bumblebee_1308304625 Hat tip goes out to TFW2005 boards member Henriquedematos for linking us to a fun little item being released through German Kinder Surprise Eggs. These figures will be a build style item where limbs will attach to a center piece circle and have some limited range of articulation, but unfortunately no transformation capability.

Jeff Kline Confirms The Next Transformers Series Is In Production

Posted on 01-29-2014 at 04:16 PM by SilverOptimus under Transformers Prime
250px-JeffKlineMakingOfPrime Producer Jeff Kline spoke to Keep Me Current, to let us in on the fact that the next Transformers animated series is in production:

"Q: Of everything youíve done, and everything you could do, why comic books?
A: Well, Iíve been almost five years going back and forth between the coasts. Iíd like to live here more full-time. But itís really hard to run a show from 3,000 miles away and, for the time being anyway, it seems like itís going to be a hard time to get the networks to let me run an animated series out of Portland. I do still have a development deal with Hasbro. I have another ďTransformersĒ series coming; thatís in full-blown production right now. I have a documentary I executive-produced thatís coming out this year, as well as other TV and movie projects, but Iíve been looking for something I can do from here. With comic books, you donít have to be on a studio lot. Itís a lot of working with freelancers who can be anywhere in the country. Itís a business thatís very used to happening not in person. So, itís a good business to start from my home in Cape Elizabeth."

As stated at BotCon 2013, these new toys are more or less upscaled pre-existing Cyberverse designs under the concept of having simpler transformations for the child demographic similar to the Fast Action Battler concept. While the toys may not be your cup of tea, check out the photos of the toys by taking the jump.

Interview with Hasbro Studios - Information on Next Transformers Cartoon

Posted on 01-10-2014 at 10:42 AM by Mechafire under Transformers Prime
Transformers-Prime-Hasbro_1350924471 Courtesy of TFW2005 member General Tekno, we have a few tidbits concerning the next Transformers TV show. In an interview with Hasbro Studios' Stephen Davis, he divulges into what the next series will be like.

To summarize, it sounds as if the show will take some cues from Rescue Bots, in that it will be lighter, brighter, and simpler overall - skewing away from Transformers: Prime's darker, more serious tone.

But for more details, check out the relevant bits of the interview after the jump, then post your thoughts in the discussion thread!
