Posted on 06-12-2014 at 05:13 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
10368375_661224943947703_2183396318069002751_o Compared to the huge reveal on Variety this is merely a footnote, but we thought you guys might dig this advance look at the logo for the new Transformers cartoon series, Transformers: Robots in Disguise. It's using a variation of the current bare-bones style logo, but it has a clean and back-to-basics look much like some of the designs for the new show teased thus far. This news comes at you via the official Transformers Facebook page.

Transformers: Robots In Disguise Cartoon Launching Spring 2015

Posted on 06-12-2014 at 03:35 PM by StayingInTheBox under Transformers Prime
hasbro-transformers An article posted on variety.com has revealed some very interesting new details about the new Transformers cartoon set to launch on The Hub in spring 2015. Of the new details, we have learned the title of this new cartoon, which will be Transformers: Robots In Disguise. We might have had a hunch this was the case back when we reported of Hasbro's trademark application for "Robots In Disguise.

Also included is a new image of the animated designs of some characters including Bumblebee, Sideswipe, and Fixit. With this image we're starting to see the aesthetic of this new show develop, which as a mix of Transformers Prime and Animated in the characters.

The article went on to describe the new animated show:

[The] show takes place years after “Transformers Prime,” when Bumblebee is summoned to save Earth from a new faction of Decepticons and assembles a rogue team of young Autobots that includes a rebel bad boy bot, an elite guard cadet, a bombastic Dinobot and hyperactive Mini-Con to capture their new enemies.

Each new bot is a fully capable action hero but inexperienced in working together in a team, forcing Bumblebee to become both squad leader and coach, Hasbro said.

The show will feature voice actors such as Darren Criss, Constance Zimmer, Mitchell Whitfield and Ted McGinley. Also from the article: "[the] creative team includes kids programming vets Jeff Kline (“Transformers Prime”) as executive producer; producer Adam Beechen (“The Adventures of Chuck and Friends”); and Steven Melching, a writer on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” who will serve as the show’s story editor."

Wow! What do you think of this news? Does the Fandom need to come up with another abbreviation for all of these Robots In Disguise toy lines? Are you excited for the direction? Discuss it all with the forums link below!

30 Years of Transformers in 30 Days - 2013

Posted on 05-07-2014 at 12:00 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
2013 2013 brought a year of endings and beginnings to the Transformers brand – not only was it the year that Transformers Prime ended, but it was also the year that saw several key members of the Transformers brand team, many of whom had worked on the brand since Transformers Armada or earlier, part ways with Hasbro – but not before unleashing the single biggest Transformer toy ever built. On the front of new beginnings, buzz and hype began to build for Transformers 4, and the Transformers Generations line transitioned to a new “comic pack in” style, bundling IDW’s Transformers comics with the Deluxe class toys.

2012 In 2012 the Transformers Prime toyline made its debut almost a year after the show first arrived on screens, with Japan also getting a toyline all of its own complete with several Japan-only releases. Transformers Prime entered its second season on the Hub, and a new Transformers show for younger audiences based on the Rescue Bots toys also launched. The Transformers returned to video game consoles with the Fall of Cybertron, with a line of Generations toys released to coincide with it. IDW relaunched its comics as well, with John Barber and James Roberts helming new ongoing series Robots in Disguise and More than Meets the Eye, while Simon Furman returned to the classic Generation 1 comics continuity that began with The Transformers #1 in 1984 in the form of the Regeneration 1 comic series.

The Windrazor purchased uses gray instead of yellow plastic for the torso and overall color pallet has more green and grey plastic for the body. TFW member Avaran has provided some in-hand pictures of the figure along with an image of the packaging that has been unchanged showing the originally released Windrazor.

Gacha Tomy Transformers Battle Disk Shooters

Posted on 04-10-2014 at 06:37 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
Battle_Disk_Shooters2 An interesting discovery comes to us from Kaufland supermarkets in Germany, who do not usually stock Transformers product. They are carrying a series of "Battle Disk Shooters" from Tomy's subsidiary Gacha. The disk shooters seem like something you'd find on the cover of the UK Transformers comic by Titan Magazines, and each one comes with a target, a disk shooter and a pair of disks. They're available in eight different styles, and while their packaging is done in the new 2014 standard style, the artwork used is as far as we can see from the Transformers Prime series.
