Beast Hunters Ripclaw and Starscream In-Hand

A pair of threads on the 78dm BBS site have given rise to some in-hand images of the two "bad guys" from Beast Hunters Deluxe Wave 2. There's a pair of images of the Deluxe Starscream, showing him in comparison with the First Edition Seeker mold in the form of Thundercracker and Skywarp. There's also a slightly more extensive look at the female Predacon Ripclaw, again showcasing her with other Prime toys. There's also further images available for the Starscream via HK-TF. Woah a lot smaller then I thought he'd be!

The back of the legs sorry me though. Hollow legs plus less plastic makes me wonder if there will be reports of breakage. Still have no plans on getting him though.

Wings take up a lot of plastic. So jet formers tend to be a little on the short side.

Ripclaw looks great. Thats a surprisingly articulated tail shes packing. I was expecting maybe two or three hinges and a swivel. Not what looks like multiple swiveling hinge joints.

I see what you mean, between the same characters. Yeah, its weird to see two deluxe Starscreams of vastly different heights. :/

When I saw this I was thinking, "wow, this is great!" Then I got to Starscream. Even though I love Starscream I'll have to pass. That just looks hideous. Ripclaw looks great though! Even though I don't have rage of the dinobots (I could never find them) I hope they do a Ser-ket repaint. That would look beautiful.

Did anybody else notice that most of Ripclaw's sea-foam green is painted on top of red plastic?

Starscream... yeah I need to se more but I'm not liking it so far. Is it mistransformed? If I end up liking it I might repurpose him as another character, but still, I won't buy it unless it's on discount.

Ripclaw is possibly gonna be a buy on sight for me. Neat looking figure, maybe the best of the Beast Hunters figs, IMO.

Ripclaw looks gorgeously repugnant. I may have to buy her, even though I absolutely detest the basic, stand-up transformation that every Prime Predacon has.

Starscream is just absurdly tiny. And hollow-looking. And I can't stand the fact he just wears the entire jet like a poncho instead of being made of it.

Easy pass for me. Smokescreen's the only one i'm getting from wave 2. Might get Ripclaw if i see her at retail.

Hmm getting a little tired of the figures that only look good at a certain angle, especially at $17 for a deluxe.

Those extra photos for Starscream made me go from a possible buy to a pass. The whole back of him in robot mode looks bad and hollow. Even the missiles are hollow! -_- Plus he is much smaller in size (while the price for deluxe figures continue to climb), and the colors are vomit worthy. At least he isn't diseased with spikes though, lol. Shame, since I really like Starscream...but this figure won't be on my shelf.

Ugh... Starscream is TINY and those colors are kind of nauseating. Not at all what Starscream should look like.

Ripclaw looks cool in a Dragon mashed up with a bat. Starcream has a insect quality to me. Not sure about any of the color schemes for either one.

Is it me... or do most BH non-Beasts require repainting? I mean really... outside BumbleBEAST and Wheeljack... the decos are... gagworthy.

That said... Starscream looks smaller, but he's a bit bulkier... no longer effeminate either. Probably good to repaint him into another seeker or jetformer.

FE Starscream was probably the best of all the Prime Deluxes and instead of just retooling the original mold like they did with Wheeljack, Bee, and Soundwave they made an all new mold that's worse in every way and then painted it in the worst colors possible.

Defies logic.

Ripclaw is awesome looking. Totally bought.

Starscream...uhh....looks like shit. His robot mode is small, his jet mode is daft, even his ger-walk mode looks bad. And that's just a plane with arms and legs!

I don't why... but I REALLY like that Starscream. And that's saying something, because I have FE Starscream, and he is as close to perfect as possible.

Maybe it's the colors or the sculpting, but there's something about him that just makes him unique-looking and different.

Ripclaw looks... okay.
