Beast Hunters Deluxe Bulkhead and Smokescreen

Bulkhead looks horrible. Smokescreen's car mode warrants a buy in itself, it looks amazing.

They look pretty cool.

Bulkhead seems to be missing his viking helm though.

Smokescreen looks awesome, but his spikey look is gonna make a lot of people here upset.

Opinions and all that, but that's a little odd. He looks about 1,000X better than the Arms Micron one. All the beast-hunter stuff seems like it's removable, so he should have a pretty normal looking vehicle mode.

I think I'll call that Bulkhead by Rhinox if I would get it.

Ah, it's nice to see that Smokescreen's vehicle mode is show accurate, with the Beast Huntin' spikes being removable. His bot mode looks pretty good; the faux-kibble chest is a pity, but probably unavoidable.

EDIT: Guys, seriously, don't freak out. Look at the robot mode pics: that crap draped over his shoulder is the same piece that goes over the bonnet in vehicle mode, it's removable.

Those are both beautiful babies that need to be bought and taken care of oh god YES

Is it removable? I can see it in robot mode, but it looks molded in on vehicle mode to me.

If the "armor" on Smokescreen is removable, I will like the figure even more.

Bulkhead and Smokescreen are must buys. so that just leaves Ratchet and Arcee

Also with a Deluxe Bulkhead and a US release Smokescreen I predict a deluxe Breakdown

Smokescreen is the only figure so far to have his armor listed as a feature on his toy.

YES! We finally get a DXsmokescreen !

If you look closely, it seems the only spiky bits on Smokescreen are the big blue piece, while the rest of him looks to remain mostly faithful to the season 2 look. Its Beast Hunters Smokescreen and Season 2 Smokescreen all in one.

As long as the armor is removable. Smokescreen looks like a must buy!

Looking at it, I'd say that it clips onto the edge of the doors in vehicle mode. If those are his real doors on his back in bot mode, then they must detach from the armour, and it's obvious that it detaches from the bonnet, so....

I don't mind Bulkhead going all roadbuster, but why deluxe?

Still wish we got a normal Smokescreen. Lets hope there still is a possibility.

the predacons are supposed to be huge right? MAybe thats the reason for a smaller Bulkhead?

Its Transformers, scale hardly means a thing when it comes to toys. Lazerback and Ripclaw are in the deluxe class and the Predacon Twinstrike in a CV figure.

It is a normal Smokescreen, basically. The 'Shadow Quill Armor' obviously is detachable, and need never go any where near him once you've taken him out the package.

QFT I like Smokescreen a bunch. Bulk should only be Voyager and up

think I rather stick with my Arms Micron Smokescreen. But if the front armor is removable to look like regular Smokescreen I'd get him.

Final thoughts:
Smokescreen looks fairly decent, but definitely needs some paint. Bulkhead is kinda... strange to me. I'll pick him up just for the hell of it, and somehow he makes me nostalgic about old times, you know, like the Cybertron line. Don't know what it is, but he just reminds me of that.

I'm going to have to do a lot of recoloring and renaming, but those toys aren't too shabby.

Well we've had one for a couple months now, and how long of a wait was it from his introduction, a couple months? Not really a long wait.

Also where were all those posters on this website that were crying and moaning and whining and so forth and so on that Smokescreen was never going to get a Deluxe release outside of the Arms Micron figure. I also kept on saying that the Arms Micron figure was just a release to get a toy out of him in Japan around the time he'd appear on the cartoon.

People on this site need to chill out once in a while.

Not bad, I will probably pick these up. It's odd that Bulkhead would be a Deluxe, but I think it looks better than the voyager.

LOVE both. Will buy the first chance I get. I do like Bulkhead, and LOVE Smokescreen. Good thing these pics came out, because I was extremely close to buying an Arms Micron Smokescreen. I think ill take this instead haha

I like both. I like the idea that the Armor is removable from Smokescreen.
The bulkhead reminds me of a Roadbuster or a Pre-beast wars, Rhinox.

I actually think both look great. Smokescreen looks to be a nice compromise with the spike armor being removable, between the "normal" version most of us wanted, and the spiky Beast Hunters armor that the other Autobots are sporting. Only thing I don't really like about him is his weapon, but that's not a deal breaker. I definitely wasn't expecting a Deluxe Bulkhead figure. It's definitely not perfect, but I actually like how the mold looks. His colors aren't bad, but I kinda want to see how they'll choose to repaint this mold. It's not a wrecking ball, but I like the weapon.

All that said, I'm not sure if I'll get either one. Going to wait for more pictures, reviews, and I might wait to see how Hasbro chooses to repaint them.

That's pretty darn clever how Smokescreen is both a show-accurate clean car and Beast Hunters spiky thanks to that removable bit of armor.

Fake chests galore makes me cry, though.

Now that I look at it it looks like the front armor is removable. If it looks like his original car form I'd totally buy it.

Might be the only Beast Hunter toys I buy. Smokescreen looks great and makes me glad I didn't jump on the Takara version, and Bulkhead...well, even though he's all 90's X-TREME! I have a weakness for the big guy so I'll have to buy him.

Well that deluxe Bulkhead sort of came out of leftfield. Really was not expecting that. What next a voyager BH Arcee. O.o

Kidding aside, I'm not sure how I feel about old bulkhead. Why did they go with the Roadbuster deco for one thing? His weapon looks pretty cool. Can't really go wrong with a giant buzzsaw. What does seem weird is the chest either is an homage to his animated counterpart or its a green/tan version of Strikas' face. I'm hoping the former rather then the latter. I'll reserve final judgement until I see clearer pics, but so far I kind of like it.

I honestly can't remember what I said about a release of smokescreen. Although I can't help but think I'll be pulling both feet out of my mouth if I go back through my posts. I think I'd really only get him though for his vehicle mode. I don't personally care for Smokescreen as a character to be honest. I don't hate I just don't feel the need to get a toy form of him.

Bulkhead looks pretty ok, although the vehicle mode is not as cool as his cyberverse version.

Smokescreen actually looks really good - and for those who'd rather have a 'clean' Smokescreen, with some slight mods you'd probably come a long way. Or can you just take off his attachments? Even better!

The weapon+armor will almost certainly be tossed into a box to be forever forgotten, but I'm okay with that since underneath it all he looks pretty great. Can't wait to see more.

It appears all Smokescreen needs to be fairly accurate is paint. Why did they think it was necessary to make his knees red, or add all that blue to his head, and add that red to his arms?
Oh, well, I wanted to get into customizing anyway.
Looks like Hasbro is trying to break their legit-transformation streak. All of the most recent ones have barely any fake parts. And now two in the same wave do!
Hasbro really put themselves in a bad situation with turning Beast Hunters into a new subline of TFP, since they need to pump out a bunch of new toys to make it a full line. And from what we know, that's a hard task. They wouldn't be burdened with designing all the cactus-formers if they hadn't created a new line to fulfill.
I am aware of the "armor is in the show" idea/argument, but it's hardly consistent between Cyberverse and mainline. A good example would be the two Bulkheads. The only real similarity between the two's design changes is the color. And at the same time, CV has more orange while Deluxe has more green.
I like what Hasbro did with Smokescreen. They managed to make an accurate one at the same time as keep their new spike fad.
And last, but not least, I TOLD YOU ALL WE WOULD GET A SMOKESCREEN! *Megatron laugh*
Seriously though, on several occasions I've mentioned how I'm not going to get AM Smokescreen because I have been expecting a Hasbro brand-new Smokescreen mold. Good thing I didn't already start on the FE Bumblebee into Smokescreen custom I was thinking about trying...

I just hope Beast Hunters toy line is just like PRID toy line in Canada where we only got wave 1 and we didn't get the other wave until 9 to 10 months later.
