Shockwave still looks great, he'll be a must-have when he's released. Only change I would make, and this is REALLY minor, is that I would have had his title be Science Officer instead of Weapons Specialist...

Starscream still looks...weird. I'm glad I got his pre-BH Commander figure.

It looks like they were trying to give Starscream a more G1 look, with all that red and gold. Although his face looks like he fell in the mud. Shockwave, however, looks great.

Shockwave looks like he has a tiny head, an oversized chest, flabby arms and flabby legs.

The Shockwave figure actually looks tons better than the crappy Voyager one.

Looking at the starscream...I don't think Hasbro has a clue about what the new Starscream is suppose to look like. It is like as if the show designers just leaked a few images of the new version and Hasbro has been scrambling and guessing based on a few fuzzy pictures of what BH Starscream looks like. So the deluxe toy is one guess while the cyberverse toy is another. Both toys have the thunderclaw weapon and the weird yellow bits but these 2 completely different alt modes.

How dare you!! I love that figure. Yes his hip articulation could use some re-engineering, but otherwise he's titty sprinkles.

Yeah, really-- the Voyager is awesome! Whereas the Cyberverse one looks awkwardly wide, has a really beady eye, and a vehicle mode that, for once, ACTUALLY deserves the label of "wadded-up robot".

Those are some serious feet on Shockwave.

I'll get any of the Cyberverse toys. Loving these. Makes skipping the main line easier.

Shockwave is bought hard. Starscream.... dunno, I'm not a fan of the Cyberverse Commander mold to begin with and the deco reminds me of Air Raid and Soundwave having a kid and this is the result.

I might get Shockwave, pass on Starscream.

Ah, the usual array of complaints. They could at least be original.

I think Cyberverse and Scouts - the size classes that should have the lowest expectations - have been knocking it out of the park on a regular basis.

I hope they keep the concept going through the next movie and tv show.

Except that these designs are likely not to appear at all, and there are no fuzzy pictures of him, and if Hasbro was tasked with making toys of something that is going to be on the show, they'd get more than some fuzzy little pictures...

Shockwave looks gorgeous, shame they only painted the centre/pupil of his eye...I'll just have to fill the rest in when I eventually pick one up! Can't wait for my last Prime commander

Starscream actually looks very similar in design to the deluxe except for the colour scheme, IMO.

All-in-all, this kinda makes me wish I'd bought the CVC Starscream when it first came out - as the BH CVC has a much-needed update to the articulation of the 1st mold & looks like swapping them out would require little more than trimming excess armor & popping a balljoint...

But that Schockwave is bought on sight.

Shockwave is a must, like the Cyberverse Beast Hunter Optimus, I find the bot mode silhouette to be more appealing than that of the voyager. Weird but true..at least for me. Cyberverse Commanders are kicking ass for the most part this year.

Starscream though...I dunno, maybe I have to see it in person. I don't like how it looks like a fighter jet retooled with the cockpit of a passenger airliner. Something's just not right with that. That's like G1 Sideswipe retooled with the hood and windshield of a schoolbus.

For the most part, yes - but the BH CVC has the cockpit attached to the forearm, rather than the upper arm; so I guess the correct phrasing would be not that it has "better" articulation, but rather "much more favorable" or "more natural" articulation.

sorry if i'm being thick here but looking at this pic and then the fig and as far as i see both have the cockpit attach at the elbow with the forearm able to slide out and towards his chest

I can't see it in the bot mode...but in tank mode, oh my. Much better looking than the lanky mess that is the voyager.

I wish Shockwaves gun was a little smaller it looks a little big but it will do great with my other cyberverse

I have to say my only gripe so far with Shockwave is that his cannon doesn't seem to be complete all the way around. Like they opted to save costs by leaving the underside hollow. He's still getting bought though, like dreadwing he just blows the voyager out of the water for me.

I dunno, I consider something like a half-hollow cannon to be a pretty big problem.

What happened to Shockwave? He looked so much better at the Toy Fair.

I was only referring to the underside of the tip of the barrel of the gun. Although that was my fault for not saying as such. There isn't any indication that if you look at the underside of his cannon arm that it will be hollow. Considering it appears he might have some launching gimmick whether it's spring loaded or otherwise, I don't think it will have a huge gaping underside.

Yeah he had a nicer shade of purple on him, and his eye wasn't as beady looking...

All Cyberverse needs is a Legion-class Starscream and Commander-class Breakdown and I will sing its praises to the skies.
