Entertainment Earth has updated their site with an image of the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Voyager Class Wave 5 Predaking and Optimus Prime aka the enlarged Cyberverse Commander toolings. As Hasbro stated when these toys were unveiled at Botcon 2013, these toys are big, and Predaking barely fits in the standard Voyager Class box. They are stated to be due in December this year, which if previous trends are anything to go by means they won’t really turn up at retail until post Christmas restocks take place in many stores.

Well, at least Optimus has painted rims.
Starscream Gaga
By folding the wings back and down, similar to the voyager. The placement isn't at exactly the right height on Predaking's back working on but considering everything else, including more important things like the huge shoulder spikes and size are far closer to how they should be, its a fair compromise.

I can see where you're coming from on most of your post – but this stimies me.
How can you transform/mistransform Ultimate Predaking to remotely compare to the configuration possible with the Voyager mold in robot form?
TFXProtector
Predaking isn't terrible, but I don't care for the legs (hoping they're mistransformed) and his head tail (robot mode) just looks ridiculous.
I have to say, the original Voyager Predaking was nowhere near complicated, so other than a nice deco and a giant sword, I fail to see the reason for this guy to exist.
Shin Densetsu
Blech that green kills the look of Optimus, and the sword seems like it's too small for this.

Posted as a snafu apparently on Amazon(posted pics of the new BH Prime on the page for the old BH Prime), but some better shots of the new BH Prime.

Predaking: I want. Optimus: crap.

They are, last I heard, upscaling Windrazor. Dunno about the rest and dunno if they would retain the combiner functionality. Would be cool if they did.
As for Optimus and Predaking, I may go for the latter, but almost certainly not the former. I like my size increases to be accompanied by complexity increases.

That's right. We want Voyagers of the cool figures, not more of the same. I mean, why go through all this trouble of making new molds for figures that already have them, and not even improving show accuracey or playability? I mean, sure, they are big, but it's getting a little bit Playskoolish, don't ya think?
If anything, they should have upscaled the terrorcons, so we would have a true Abominus.

*facepalm*
It'd be one thing if they made a Voyager out of Stealth Bomber Megatron, but they're making yet another Optimus Prime and Predaking, both of whom are currently shelfwarming. And in OP's case, directly from a Cyberverse figure.
general saberwi
I dunno about this Predaking on his own. Dare I combine him with the 2013 mold to create the Predaking we deserve?

NICE.

You really don't understand the concept of children, do you?
Starscream Gaga
As I said, Ultimate Predaking can pull off the same thing and has better accuracy in everything else, too. For all we know this one could also pull off a "mistransformation" and be accurate face-on too.
I don't understand why you bring up TFA Grimlock. He's supposed to be posed like a real T-Rex and that's what the instructions and promo pics display.
Dachande
I very much want that Predaking, both because I just plain like it, and because it looks pretty impressive in stature and aesthetics. I don't really care about show-accuracy at this point, and just want another beastly transforming dragon.
Optimus will be a maybe, all depending on how it looks in person. I like the Cyberverse design, so this voyager may end up being pretty nice.
Flexx Ark
Great point. They are getting exactly what they asked for.

Whether directions to collapse the wings are or are not in the instructions – the toy is obviously designed for this configuration.
Just like folding out the back of ROTF Leader OP's calf panels or ROTF DLX Rampage's pogo-stick mold – not in the directions, but obviously designed to transform that way for accuracy.
For that matter, TFA VGR Grimlock's single flaw in dino mode is his open chest – but it's only viewable when posed like the G1 figure. Pose TFA VGR Grimlock like a real T-rex & you'd never notice the gap.

Wow, the reactions against these are a bit extreme. I might just buy that OP just to cheese people off.
