tumblr_lxipqxRzvh1qhh4pvo1_500 Zap2it has updated with a synopsis of episode 11 of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters, Persuasion. There's a promise of a long-awaited confrontation between two powerful warriors, and a moment which sounds like it will call back to two character's rivalries from the original Marvel Transformers comics. Highlight the text below to see the synopsis:

Megatron appeals to Ratchet; Optimus takes on the Predacon.

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters will return on June 28, 2013 with Evolution, the ninth episode of this season. Persuasion will air on July 12, 2013.

Beast Hunters Sharkticon Megatron In-Hand Images

Posted on 06-13-2013 at 02:54 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
DSC_1043 2005 Boards member xe07 has kindly shared with us a nice look at Beast Hunters Sharkticon Megatron. A few key things to note on this one is that there seems to have been a miscommunication between the packaging guys and the ones writing the instructions - while the packaging calls him Megatron and has him wielding the awesomely named Tartarex Warp Sword, the story chapter and instructions refer to Megatron as Sharkticon Megatron, and his weapon as the Sharktooth Spear. In addition Megatron features a new faction sigil shown only on the toy, packaging and instructions use the vanilla Decepticon logo.

The instructions do reveal two new bits of information to us - the black redeco of Beast Hunters Bumblebee will be named Night Shadow Bumblebee, and more importantly, the sequel to the Transformers Exiles novel will be Transformers Retribution, coming in Fall 2013!

TFW Transformers Prime Dark Energon Series Galleries

Posted on 06-09-2013 at 06:35 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
tfpdemeg26 A major plot device in Transformers Prime, Dark Energon is some seriously evil stuff, capable of reviving dead Transformers as monstrous shambling Terrorcons. For the toyline, however, Dark Energon meant a set of six cool redecos, and today we have galleries to share with you of four of those six redecos. Much like the upcoming Target exclusive Predacons Rising assortment, these redecos came on specially redone backer cards which swapped the silver and red of the usual Transformers Prime packaging for black and purple, which in this fan's opinion looks a lot more eye-catching and dynamic.

The redecos of the toys as well were a lot of fun, with all six of them making use of translucent plastics and some pleasing homage decos, such as Dark Energon Wheeljack as a homage to Action Master Slicer and Dark Energon Starscream as a version of Skywarp. Plus the Dark Energon Optimus Prime features a remolded, faceplateless head - the only way thus far this tooling has been made available. The figures are still available online via our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store, who had these as an exclusive.

Check out the galleries by opening the links below and see what you think of these cool redecos:

TFW Transformers Prime Arms Micron Silas Breakdown Gallery

Posted on 06-08-2013 at 07:18 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
SilasBreakdownRobot16 Yesterday's all-new episode of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters, Thirst, saw the return of Breakdown as subverted by the human villain and MECH leader Silas. CyLAS or Silas Breakdown as he is known combines Breakdown's mechanical might with Silas' cunning tactical mind - though as you might have seen in Thirst, there was a bit more going on there too.

Transformers Prime Arms Micron Silas Breakdown was a Japan exclusive release, and the third outing for the Japan-only Voyager Class Prime Breakdown mold after War Breakdown and Autobot Swerve. For this release, the mold was redecoed in black, with a new head tooling and a chromed bumper. It is not really show accurate (in the show, CyLAS deco was a more worn version of Breakdown's, with no bumper) but it is a very pleasing and dynamic deco all the same. In a nice touch, the sticker sheet comes with a lot of extra optional stickers including ones to represent battle damage and scarring on the metal armor, allowing you to customize your Silas Breakdown with scarred armor, or as I have done with mine keep his black body unmarked and "clean". Another nice touch is the inclusion of a remolded portion of the stomach area to incorporate a molded human Silas wired into Breakdown, as seen in the cartoon.

Silas Breakdown's Arms Micron partner is a preying mantis, Magi, which transforms into a claw weapon. Again it is not based on a weapon that Silas or Breakdown ever used in the show to my knowledge, but the style of it fits Silas, his background and his fighting style perfectly.

Overall, Silas Breakdown is a fantastic release. The additional sticker details allow for a full range of customization, and the base toy is one of the best developed for the Transformers Prime line - more the pity, then, that it never made it to markets outside of Japan.

Transformers: The Covenant Of Primus Sneak Peek

Posted on 06-06-2013 at 01:48 PM by NIBMRatchet under Transformers Prime
TransformersCovenantofPrimusLiegeMaximoTheManipulator The Idle Hands; a blog by Paul Nicholasi is revealing some sweet details from the book Transformers: The Covenant Of Primus; a book based on the Transformers Aligned Continuity.

According to the blog:
“The Covenant of Primus is a gift to the humans from Alpha Trion, one of the ancient Thirteen Primes - the first Transformers. The book contains insights into Optimus Prime and Megatron and covers the full history of the Transformers, from new information about their origins, to the Golden Age of exploration, to the great civil war between Autobots and Decepticons.”

Official Description:
"The Covenant of Primus is the definitive in-world history of the Transformers. For the first time, it reveals the stories of the Thirteen Primes, the original Transformers. The narrative will also cover the golden age of Transformer civilization, the war between Optimus Prime and Megatron, and finally the present day on Earth. Sixty never-before-seen illustrations, 20 commissioned just for this book, bring these epic events to life.

The hardcover book will be housed in a custom case shaped like the Autobot emblem. The classic mechanical “transforming” sound is triggered when the reader pulls open the three segments of the case."

The Covenant Of Primus is written by Justina Robson with Original Illustrations by Ken Christiansen, Casey Coller, Livio Ramondelli and Emiliano Santalucia (some of our good friends at TFW2005). The book is priced at $99 with 176 pages. Transformers: The Covenant of Primus is due out December 3, 2013.

The blog gives us a great preview of the book and some truly stunning artwork. Check it out at The Idle Hands.

Of greater interest perhaps to those looking at the mythology of the Transformers and the 13 hinted at with the Aligned Continuity and Transformers Prime, this is the book for you as it will finally tell the whole story of the original 13 creations of Primus - and there are some major surprises revealed including Quintus Prime - heretofore unrevealed, and the progenitor of The Quintessons! The rest of the Thirteen are also revealed by the article and they are:
  • Prima
  • Vector Prime
  • Megatronus
  • Onyx Prime
  • Amalgamous Prime
  • Alpha Trion
  • Quintus Prime
  • Liege Maximo
  • Micronus Prime
  • Alchemist Prime
  • Solus Prime
  • Nexus Prime
  • Thirteen

Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters Episode #8 Thirst Extended 30 Second Promo

Posted on 06-03-2013 at 03:42 AM by NIBMRatchet under Transformers Prime
Previously we saw the 15 second promo for next week’s episode of Transformers: Prime - Beast Hunters. Now it’s time to take a look at the 30 second promo for "Thirst" where "Knock Out and Starscream experiment with synthetic Energon and threaten to take over the Decepticon ship and unleash an old enemy." Of course, as usual Megatron is not very pleased and initiates High Alert on this Decepticon-centric episode.

Special thanks to Generalbri of 2005 Boards for grabbing the Promo Video.

TFW Transformers Prime Arcee Gallery

Posted on 06-01-2013 at 06:41 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Prime
TFPArcee32 From her introduction in 1986, Arcee has been an Autobot warrior first and a female Autobot second, and no where is this more clear than Transformers Prime Arcee, an extremely competent warrior capable of combining acrobatic skill with precision strikes - as illustrated by the relative ease with which she dispatches Vehicons and Insecticons (see yesterday's episode, Plus One, for an example of Arcee's skill in action).

The Transformers Prime Arcee mainline toy - the second toy of Prime Arcee to be released in Deluxe scale, following the First Edition toy - is an excellent realisation of the character. Like the First Edition she sports a great resemblance to the on screen character and top-notch articulation, more necessary than ever when you are dealing with a character like Arcee who does lots of acrobatic moves. The toys likeness - especially in the face and with the 5mm capable hands - in some ways even eclipse the First Edition Arcee.

Overall this is a great Arcee toy to have in your collection, whether you missed out on the First Edition or not. This Arcee also has a remold planned for the upcoming Wave 4 of Beast Hunters, complete with longbow and more silver details, for those who missed out on this one while it was in stores.
