Transformers the Ride Evac Toy Released

Now that they are in Gift Shop now I'll be even more worried that I won't get one when I'm there in July/August.

I'm going to shoot a video review in about 10 minutes. The ride is incredible. I've been on it at least 15 times.

If you went on it 15 time the line wasn't that long was it?

I go single rider so I walk on. There was about a 30 minute wait in the regular line. I left at about 1pm, so by 3-4 it'll be pretty long. But I didn't ride it 15 times all today haha. In total i've been on it about 15 times since mid april.

You didn't happen to see how many they had? Did they have lots in the back or something?

Glad to see you were able to get it. Figure looks amazing. Still not too happy with my buddy who is down there today's refusal to pick me up one, but as cool as it is, I still don't know where it fits into my collection. Cant wait to see the review.

did they have the megatron voyager?

also weird on the prime deluxe it says exclusive but not on evac.

For $21.95 that thing should dance.

I got to the park right after opening at about 9:40. All the shelves were fully stocked until I grabbed my 3. Then checked back at about 10:00 and a few more were gone. Didn't check back since then. I'm sure USH has plenty in the back. They restock their shelves ALL the time, it's not like a public retail store where you have to wait every week or so. They restock constantly throughout the day.

Just seeing it in package is making me want one, but I afraid that when I'm there this summer they'll be sold out and I will have to end up buying one on ebay for $130 (which is what they go for on ebay now)

This is going to result in many cases of a child wanting to buy Evac, but their parents are going to refuse because of the larger price tag and tell the kid that he is a walmart for 10 bucks cheaper. kids are going to go to walmart only to find the Legion class.

Tons of TF: Prime figures including Megs but for inflated prices.

I noticed that Optimus Prime's packaging says that he's an exclusive yet Evac's packaging doesn't. Hmm...

It's a gift shop at an amusement park- that's a steal. It's especially a steal when it starts hitting ebay.

I hope they understand collectors are going to go there to clean them out and stock him accordingly.

Prime's packaging also says:

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
HOLLYWOOD

instead of just UNIVERSAL STUDIOS, like with Evac and Bumblebee.

I wonder if these will get packaging variants...that ought to drive a few completists insane.

It's hard to believe they are not like other retailers. I mean I've been at Disneyland and their stock is not Assorted like Deluxe figures.

i meant the Universal exclusive. there is going to be one and just hoped it happened to be there.

I really don't understand the nay-saying and paranoia. Ride-exclusive toys aren't really a new thing, Star Tours has tons of them. I doubt they will have a problem keeping the shop stocked. Frankly going to Universal Studios is probably too much effort for most scalpers; it's not like some jerk just grabbing all the toys at your local Walmart. Although nothing surprises me in the Transformers secondary market so who knows. Also $22 isn't that bad for an exclusive mold at a theme park.

I wouldn't even want this thing without going on the ride...it's a wonderful souvenir but it's not something I'd specifically want for my collection. The Legion is decent enough I suppose, if it wasn't for the excitement of it being new (and wanting another weaponized alt mode) I probably wouldn't have wanted it anyway.

Universal and Disney stock to keep their shelves full. Unfortunately they are not expecting the mega surge of people that are going to buy up these figures. But for as long as they sell, they will restock whatever inventory they have until it's gone.

That's what I'm afraid of.

Since I'm not going in 2 month they'll probably be gone and I'll be the last person who is looking for one.

Hmmm...I'm wondering since this is now out if I should see if I can go to USH on a shopping pass - I'm not especially interested in going to the theme park (the ride looks fun, but $77 fun? Not really).

Some theme parks have a deal where you can go in for an hour or so for free, as long as you buy some amount of stuff from their shops. I did it a while back at Legoland.

If I get time next weekend I may try it out, since I live close to the park. If I do go I'll try to get a few so I can hook up other board members.

Why is it that, every DOTM toy sucks balls...except the ones you have to order from Japan like, Joptimus Prime and others! And now Evac, you have to go to the ride or pay an ass load for it on ebay.

There is a chance. Hollywood received Despicable Me merch, and that attraction is opening in Orlando soon.
