Transformers Revenge of the Fallen News from UK Toy Fair

The UK Toy Fair 2009 kicked off today, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was represented in rare style. Hisstank and 2005 Boards Member streetfield1 was in attendance and has shared a huge wealth of information with us.

I'm assuming this was based upon seeing the toy and not movie footage, and he mistook the cement mixer drum for a turbine. Would fit with what we've already heard.

Also if a kind Mod would ad 'from Toy Fair UK 2009' in the title I would appreciate it, I was just excited to tell people and went fast. I am sure the British contingent here will soon give us more info as well.

but we already know there's a set priced at 100. it's probably made up of voyager-sized figures. we've already seen one of them. based on what we already saw, they don't have very good individual robot modes.

we've also heard that the ones sold seperately will have individual robot modes, and not combine.

for 100 dollars, we KNOW it's gonna be bigger than a supreme class figure. 2 feet tall sounds just right for that price point.

Given that Hasbro was just before Christmas, worrying how the recession would affect their sales and spouting all those lines about not wanting to make too many more toys pricier then $30 this all seems rather hard to swallow.

Finally I thought it had already been spilt by one of the chinese fellows that devastator is two voyagers for the body, four deluxes for the limbs and the extra deluxe that forms the weapon.

That seems far more likely and adds up to $90 at pre price hike costs, an extra $10 for the convenience of a gift set and any extra material/bonus bits/special paint jobs won't be hard to justify.

Sounds cool, and it does fit in with what we've heard in the past. A 2 foot Devs would be awesome, and I can see it happening. Though at the same time I won't be surprised if he turns out smaller than that. Will just have to wait and see. Hopefully we get some pics of him from the New York Toy Fair, or at least pictures of something else. Some packaging samples of the new Leader class Prime figure, something to tide us over for at least a little while.

I thought we heard that Devestator would be about 2' tall from S250 (or one of our other Chinese friends) a couple months back?

and we already KNOW that at least one part is approximately Voyager sized, so i'm not sure why anyone is doubting this. he might not be a full 24", but there's no doubt in my mind he'll be significantly larger then Unicron and the other AEC era Supremes...

And, man, a Devastator figure that's almost 2 feet tall (btw, for the doubters, I believe this was pretty much confirmed by S250, whom has always been very reliable in the past, recently) is going to rock. At a $100 price tag that's not that hard to believe.

I don't recall seeing S250 mention it would be 2 feet tall but it is beginning to seem as though I may be in the wrong here.

Streetfield, thanks for posting, very interesting information, I'm amazed to see anything good come out of the UK toyfair.

No toys of the fallen is certainly unexpected, that pretty much solidifies the leader toys as Prime, tank megs and jetfire imo.

Man Hasbro and Paramount could build so much hype right now off of TF2 but they refuse to show these toys which would get us exicted for the movie, and the trailer that would get us excited for them movie.

Would love to see pics of Devestator.
