Forbidden Planet has for sale an Allspark 4-port USB hub for your computer. When you attach devices to this faithful replica to the Transformers movie prop, phrases are played including “We must protect the Allspark cube”. No cables necessary, it works straight from your computer. This is a preorder, and the item is due in-stock at the end of April. Its currently on sale for 17.99 pounds. Gave it a preorder. My laptop could use this.

The link worked. It just stretched the page before (the way someone spouting NOOO…OOO with lots of Os in place of the ellipsis would). Ta

I'm using firefox, and the link has ALWAYS worked for me.
Icespark
I've edited the link! Does it work properly now?
Somebody
You don't need the "&zenid=*" part, and it breaks the page in Firefox. Could a mod edit it out?
REDLINE
The link is not dead.

Non-powered USB hub = bad idea.

If I cared about anything related to the movie, I might think that was somewhat cool. I'm not much of an Allspark fan though, so that kind of kills the neat-ness for me.
That link is dead, by the way. Is there an alternate link? I'd still like to check out the listing.

wow thats a photoshopped picture, not the actual product. Its the same shot of the cube that was first used as a photo for the PopBox collectibles mini cube, they just added the plugs and wires. Hope they get a real photo soon.
DieMaus
Wow…that idea is actually genius. If they could rig it so that it could automatically fix Windows System Errors when you plugged it in, I'd be sold…

not a bad price…may have to pick this one up if it reaches over here

Needs more Sari's Key pen drive.

I hope your interpretation of their poor wording is correct, however.
REDLINE
It doesn't constantly spout lines, it only says then when you plug something into it. (windows makes a chime when you do it straight into the computer, just once, when its first plugged in, this is the same basic thing.)

If the plastic is thin and the flat black paint within the crevases are thin as well, it would look nice with a few throbbing orange LEDs inside when you plug it into your USB port.
Megatronwp38
that's pretty neat!
Grimlock_13
Hey thats a pretty cool idea.

Nice. Reasonably priced (minus the shipping if you're outside the UK) for something that isn't just a paperweight.
Only thing to wonder about is how to hack it so it isn't constantly spouting cheesy movie lines. That and what the infusion of Allspark power will turn my computer into. Considering how old and underpowered my computer is, it'll probably turn into Kup
