Thanks to the Facebook page of Autobase Aichi, we have new images of two Toys ‘R Us Japan exclusives. The first new batch of images are of the Micron Carnivac, which is a dual homage of Carnivac, the Decepticon Pretender, and of course Lockdown’s wolf-minions from the most recent Transformers blockbuster Age of Extinction (also known as Steeljaw). Carnivac is available in Japan with a purchase of Transformers product at TRU, while supplies last.
The second group of images is of Rollbar, essentially the rally race car of Shane Dyson from AOE. This figure appears to be the same figure that can be found in the Breakout Battle (AKA farmageddon) set. Rollbar will be an exclusive release in Japan through TRU stores.
Check out the thread for Carnivac here, and head over to discuss Rollbar with the discussion link below.

Thanks for the help, everyone! Just found a few listings, and I'm gonna try my luck.

Wow, I actually like the Hasbro one better. The dark blue matches better with the stripe on the roof.
[Wing_Saber-X]
dammit, I somehow prefer the darker blue used for the BB set version of Skids/Rollbar. :/ But not really enamored enough to get the other releases thou.
Takaratomy for me.
japanda
Left BB set Right japan version is correct
Sorry I was wrong
dirtweed
Confirmed, got one about a month ago for $17 shipped.
[Wing_Saber-X]
yea because you know that Japan does not make their own special edition releases at all aimed at AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT COLLECTOR MARKET OTHER THAN THE USA. but yeah..

Yeah – search Lena81822
He's been selling them for months. I got one for about $20 to round out the set with Skids and Crosscut and he's fine – pretty poor paint apps on him though.
Flash1087
Yeah, wait – does someone actually have this for sale? The only one I saw on eBay was a $50 pre-order.
Miyaren
Who is this Lena and I always see her shop on eBay quoted. Can someone link me to the stor
optimusmegas
wish i could get my hands on a carnivac or two….
jayman118
So its exactly the same with the breakout battle set as in no difference?
Cosmoglide
If I see it in stores around me, I may get it just to have all 3 versions of that Skids mold, which I enjoy, quite a bit. As a proud Chevy Sonic owner, yea, I would have loved a proper Sonic transformer, but the skids mold looks, well, kinda similar, at least.
flatline72
seriously, Lena has oooddles of these on ebay right now….
I bought 4 off them a month and half ago…and the most expensive one was $25 and shipped free….
ZapRowsdower
Breakout Battle set looks nice, but more expensive than I expected. I'd love to get this Skids redeco alone… well, no, I guess I'd like rusty Prime, too! But honestly, there are better 3P toys on the horizon, so this stuff isn't half as tempting as it used to be. (Maybe if Hasbro/Takara threw in some collectible cards? )
I'm gonna say:
1) not enough room in the manufacturing schedule
2) Focus was arguably on the dinos, NOT the cars (kids like dinos, or something? )
3) new 1-steps, power battlers, titans, etc. toys (unless Hasbro opened/rented more factories for this, but in whatever scenario, the production of 4-5 versions of a single character is most likely responsible for the lack of extraneous characters/cars getting toys).
Remember the 80s? Back when Hasbro would make 1 or 2 versions of Optimus and then move on to other characters? Yeah, don't expect that to happen today! Do your part: STOP BUYING MP OPTIMUS!

Hmm. The missile launchers on my Rollbar seem to be okay….
Matty
This has kind of rejuvenated my interest in the Breakout Battle set.
DoctorsTARDIS
I see they still have him mis-transfromed in the product shots. I'm betting dollars to doughnuts he still has the same AWFUL paint job the one in the set did. Gotta hide those ugly missile launchers.
TacticalBacon
At least the artwork got his face right.
Autovolt 127
Rollbar really is the perfect soldier.
I think its interesting that his bio was left intact in english and is bigger than the japanese lettering.

Yeah, if this were one of the earlier films (specifically either Movie 1 or RotF) when non-screen character toys were more prevalent, I could see Hasbro maybe cranking out a licensed toy for it. Nowadays, for a movie line, not so much.
