TFW Dark of the Moon Leadfoot Gallery

Leadfoot-Robot-19
Time for another gallery of a Transformers Movie toy who never made it to the US. Leadfoot here is the third of the Wreckers from Dark of the Moon, whose Deluxe Class toy was intended for a Target two pack along with his fellow Wrecker Topspin, as we finally saw packaged just earlier today. Leadfoot did see a release in Japan as an individually carded figure though without the sponsor details his US release would have featured - your mileage may vary if this "clean" look makes the toy more appealing or not.

One thing that is truly appealing about Leadfoot of course comes from owning the other two Wreckers, Roadbuster and Topspin, because the three of them together make for a great set.

Check out our gallery of the third Wrecker - one of the few Transformers to sport a beer belly! - and see for yourself how cool this toy that never made it to US retail is.

I'm glad I got the Takara Leadfoot when I had the chance. He is the best of the three Wreckers IMO.

Nah nothing so fancy, I just looped one of those clear rubber bands that come with so many TFs around the weapon to hold the blade in place. It's generally good enough to hold the weapons out without being too obvious, though I'd not recommend it long-term.

Hey Sol, what would you consider to be a good price for this guy?

I wouldn't exactly say that...someone basically asked for it, and i just happen to do the video of it yesterday.

Pretty much. Also, its not like there's anything wrong with a well placed plug anyways, so you have my sword regardless, or rather the one I stole from Wheeljack.

Sooo,,, did Leadfoot ever see release in the US in any form?

I was mildly interested in the HA version (with the robot dog) but I never saw him.

I assumed he was either shortpacked, scalped, or just never made it to my area.

how is this news?

Deluxe didn't. Human Alliance version developed a reputation for clogging Targets everywhere.

...aside from where you are, apparently.

I'd personally say in a perfect world $30 would be a fair price - he's good and fun but he's not the most amazing toy ever made or anything. Looking at the going rate on a couple of our sponsors, the $40 that BBTS and Robot Kingdom were asking on their (currently out of stock) orders is probably the high end of what I'd be willing to pay.

I'd personally not want to go any higher than $40 on this one, though that'll probably limit your options if you are trying to find one to buy at this point.

I stopped hitting the toy stores after about the 2nd wave of DOTM.
All I ever see anywhere is 6 different versions of bumblebee.

The only Wrecker I ever saw was Roadbuster. Even the blue one was hard to find.

I find that toothpicks work really well too, at least on some Mech Techs. Ratchet/Leadfoot's and Soundwave's come to mind. Just cut the pick to the needed length and insert into the shaft/slot (of some weapons, not all) that the mechinisim that activates transformation rests in.

Here are STILL Deluxe Topspins and HA Leadfoot's in my local stores.

TakaraTomy Deluxe Leadfoot is sure expensive nowadays.
