Target DPCIs for Revenge of the Fallen Toyline Revealed

An anonymous source has provided TFW2005 with the DPCIs from Target that will be used for the various size classes and sublines for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toyline. The listing reveals that essentially all size classes and sublines return from the toyline for the first movie plus include the addition of other new sublines. Among the new sublines coming out include Gravity Bots, Helmet Roleplay and Mega Power Bots. There are two listings for Combiners, one of which is assumed to be the listing for the Superion/Bruticus Maximus assortment. Lastly, there is an entry marked as a "Human Driver", will it be reminiscent of the drivers from the Diaclone days? The listings are as follows:

Some of the new additions sound interesting. Especially the combiners, though I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with the Superion repaint and possibly the Bruticus repaint. Ultimate Bumblebee is a little surprising at first. I can almost garantee I won't get him, especially if he's just he origional one with some retooling. Some more helmets would be interesting. Depending on how it looks, I might actually get the Prime one. Would be cool to see Megatron, Starscream, and some of the others get role play helmets too. It'll be interesting to see what some of these turn out to be. Probably won't get most of them, though there are a decent amount of main line figures I plan to get.

I think that the combiners are just Bruticus and Superion. I wonder what Power Bots and Mega Power Bots are?

I think one of the DPCI's belong to Superion and Bruticus. But there's two:

087-06-0146 TF MV2 Combiners
087-06-0294 TRA Combiner TF MV2

DPCIs tend to belong to an assortment, so Superion and Bruticus only belong to one of those. My guess is the other one belongs to that rumored ROTF Devastator giftset.

For Animated, Power Bots was the equivalent of the Cyber Stompin' subline of the first movie. My guess is that they're keeping the Power Bots name. Mega, of course, implies that it'll be bigger than what we get in the Power Bots subline.

Thanks! I keep forgetting about the giant Animated Bumblebee. Now they're going to make bigger ones? I'm not to sure what to think of that.

I'd love to see all of Devastator in a gift set, so, I really hope you're correct about the second one. I hate it when they divide up the combining teams, and make you track each one down separately! Some call it the thrill of the hunt, I call it a waste of time and fuel!

Next time I go to Target, I'll have to see if the scanner will recognize the codes, and see if I could get the price listings.

Were any DPCIs available for non-movie Target exclusives such as the Animated purple Shockwave/Sunstorm with Activator, or possibly any Universe Target exclusives?

yeah, i'm sure one of the combiners is TFU-in-TFMV2 packaging Superion and Bruticus (hey, Superion is in the movie, HE TELL ME!) and the other is Movie Devastator.

Why no Ultras i wonder? Starscream and Blackout from 07 would ahve been a lot more satisfying at at least Ultra scale, cramming them into Voyagers was really disappointing ~ plus i feel like Prime might be a better scale at Voyager too. (Voyager too small/Leader to large...)

They quit doing Ultras for the regular lines since it whas a hard pricepoint to sell with it being just a little bit more than Voyager with no special characteristics.

They where brought back as a Universe-exclusive priceclass and it looks to be staying that way to keep its uniqueness.

Yes, we likely will eventually. The usual leak for Walmart listings is a Walmart employee in the fan community.

i'm actually really surprised they brought these back, they peg-warmed around here like NOBODIES business, almost as bad as all those accessories-that-transformed-to-weapons or whatever they were ~ the dagger thing is the only one i remember. Hmm, I wonder if the Prime helmet and Ultimate BB will be new things or repackages of those from the first movie.

Also, power bots and mega power bots? Wonder what these are. Bump'n'go but also in a much larger size?

oh yeah.. the real gears are dead. I liked them, but it was pretty obvious some stores had trouble selling the first set once the early rush for movie anything was over. As a result the repaint gears I found very hard to track down. The final wave with the green master chief esq, high score mold I could only manage to get through hasbro toy shop.

now to comment on the dpsi's. I imagine the gravity bots are gravity flip conversion versions of activators in the movie line at best, at worst their like the cyber slammers and bumper battlers.

Nice to hear a prime helmet is in the works, but I suspect the new leader will talk anyway so I'm passing on the helmet again.

These new scouts are awesome. Glad their actually calling them scouts again.

Real Gear Robots were actually created for the Cybertron line (hence the initial releases of the toys depicting Cybertron characters on the stickers), but they were moved to the Movie line due to the storyline and promotional usage of the All Spark creating little robots from electronic devices.

I kind of doubt they'll do new toolings for them now.

Well, I have to say that this information is interesting and neat to see what results once the Movie 2 Toys are released.

(My Main 2 are Leader Megs/Tank since I am a Megatron fan and I think it will look cool at that size [I did enjoy Movie 1 Megs..but that's for another discussion] & Devastator because nothing is more fun then a Huge Kicking Butt Decepticon Combiner. ^^)

I believe one of these assorments will include the rumored Arcee combiner, the Twins, perhaps the voyager class version of the Optimus/Jetfire combiner as a pack as well as the fabled Devy gift set.

That last DPCI is most likely the superion/Bruticus gift set and only that.

Since Ultimate Bumblebee kind of blew, and Animated Roll Out Command Optimus Prime similarly blows, just vote with your wallet and don't buy another Ultimate Bumblebee.

One of the combiner assortments is most likely the Supreme Class Devastator we're supposed to be getting. the other being the Energon repaints that were intended for Universe.
Which reminds me, Hasbro claimed they were making Drift and Headmasters for Universe, anyone else afraid they won't be able to make that in time?

Hasbro never claimed, promised or confirmed the existence of a Drift toy. All mention of a Drift toy was from IDW.

Heheh....I don't know whether to be ecstatic or frustrated that no matter how much my income increases, Hasbro will still take almost all of it.

And "Gravity Bots"-- maybe those are those things we saw a while ago where they don't transform at all, you just stand them on their end to show a sculpted-in robot on the bottom side?

I'm totally glad to see scouts making a comeback; this will really give them more opurtunities to make the line more in-scale with each other.

The Bruticus & Superion sets would be even better if they had real hands & feet. Some fan group, maybe the guys who made the Ultra Magnus trailer, really need to make hands & feet for these guys. I'd totally drop money on the figure sets if this were a possibility.

Oh that's were they came from?? I always knew they didn't really fit the Movie designs & seemed kinda tacked on to that line. Shame we won't see new ones though, I was hoping back then for a whole TF/Microchange sub-line to come out of it, but THAT never happened. :-/ I wonder if those guys can fit in that Playstation playset toy from the newer Microman toyline?? o_O??

Last time I went and bought all of the movie guys that were actually IN the movie. This time, I think I'll stick with the Leader Prime and Megatron, and anything that happens to combine with them....

Bruticus BETTER be in this line, I'm guessing the thought is that because Classics Devy is the polar opposite to selling like free money that combiners don't sell under the classics name. However, since the Movie sold well overall, Hasbro thinks puting the same toy from Classics into movie packaging will get the toys to sell.

As for a potential Ultimate BB remold, I'm actually okay with that as I never bought the original. I like the new bumper on the 2010 concept, though, so I may get this version.
