Amazon have updated their website with some official images of the upcoming Lost Age Battle Command Optimus Prime. A Japanese market exclusive, this toy boasts lights and sounds and can transform in just four steps. The images reveal a new feature – the trailer can transform into a battle station for the one-step changer and Power Attacker toys. It’s due for a release in July 2014.

Well thats the most accurate mold to match the model so far, without the oversized hip skirts of course
SouthtownKid
The "wings" look marginally less dumb angled like that.

People are seeing the somewhat similar-looking transformation and ignoring the clearly different scale. To be fair, it's difficult to tell scale in a lot of the photos unless a human hand is in the picture sticking the little Bumblebee on its back or something.

Why do you and others still think this is the FE mold?
It clearly isn't.

Well, for what this is, it's not THAT bad, at least he has proper articulation, which is my main complaint about the simplified toys, Hasbro doesn't seem to remember they had already done one step changers with full articulation before!
(Machine Wars, Beast Wars, Animated and even ROTF had one-step changers that were also perfectly jointed!)
Ok, it does work, but did they tell you if they will bring the collector's toys here to Mexico?

A certain angles the trailer looks decent and in others it looks broken.
The robot mode has the worst kibble I've ever seen.
LegendAntihero
I would like the toy a lot more if there was a way to remove all that kibble

….god I hate TF movie toys…smh

I kind of see what you mean. That must be what's making me like this.

Its kind of shocking how there are people a few annoyed that this exists.
Kids need toys too, ya know.
prime0821
looks okay

Everyone knows Takara is literally incapable of producing a toy for kids! It's one of the laws of physics or something.

>half a trailer
you guys do realize there are short trailers in the real world and they've been around longer than transformers, right? when you see them they're typically paired, but they're still made to be able to be used solo. yes, it's wierd for a car carrier, but it's not like short trailers are something takara made up.
and this is a simplified toy for the younger set. why are you suprised that there's simplification and budget cutting going on? it's not as though it's being billed as a masterpiece or even a main-line figure.

At least armada prime's legs actually looked like they wernt bricks (not counting super mode, seriously they could have done better) in this figure, whats the point of having knee joints, with that much kibble on his legs and back the only pose i could think to put this in is him sitting down while using the back kibble as a chair

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…<breathe>…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA: my reaction to this "Optimus Prime" figure. Wow…what a horribly designed figure!
Dormamu
AOE Powermaster Prime. I won't buy it, but I like it. They got as much gimmick in him as possible, and let's face it, he's gonna be stable as a brick truck.

Man, in that fourth pic Optimus is sporting the sad face. Even he knows he's dollar store fodder now.
