Holy crap, Chromia's a T-1!

Interesting, and cool. Looks like my theory about the bike stand/gun also being usefully for the same purpose in bot-mode was true. Also looks like she has a clear missile too (don't remember seeing that before). I still think the front end of the bike (the part with the headlights on it) could be the top part of their potential combined-mode's head. I might get the three bike-bots, but I'm not sure. I'll have to see what the other two look like, and what they look like combined (if they do actually combine).

I may come back to these bike figures after the movie and really like them if characterization and animation are good. Until then, I'm holdin out. Hopefully they aren't just just filler-bots.

That transformation is rather simple and somewhat lacking. I am really starting to think that these girls combine.

I'm all for vehicon-style Tfs, and I think the look of the bikes in the trailer are cool, but this doesn't look like either. Like the front page said, looks like a bike with the top of a robot growing out of the seat almost. (I hope these Seibertron.com-esque FP stories aren't going to become a trend, there funny once in a while but I always held TFW in higher regards because of it's professional news pages that don't make me roll my eyes at the site)

The more I see of these bots the more I begin to fall in love with them. Really diggin the wheel bots more and more.

Just look at what passes as female in Hollywood. Poor Chromia, she looks like one of the Ripley clones in alien resurrection.

I've only noticed it from Kickback's two recent movie news posts (one about the release date and this one).

Why is it that so many bots in this film lack legs? It doesn't make any sense story-wise - ALL of the bots in the first film had legs. It's disproportional.

And THAT was wholey uncalled for and totally, totally rude.

Better than pencils with beach balls taped to them that is Hollywood's "normal" female stereotype. Then again from what I can tell that was simply a knee-jerk jab at the movie and nothing more or less, so explaining logic won't get me very far at all.

Its good to see this toy will stand up with that added accessory on the bottom and I hope it can be removed. Both modes look weird but I hope it is still miss transformers because of all the gaps in robot mode. Even thought it doesn't look that great I'm still buying it because I do like it.

What is the deal with all the gun arms on all these new figures? (Arcee bots, Bumblebee, Megatron). Does it make them cheaper to make or something? The '07 Bumblebee concept figure worked great with a removable gun arm. Would anyone prefer a acual blaster with these figures? And for that matter what's with every new character having wheels on thier legs instead of feet?

Don't worry. Only Deefuzz and I have taken the stance of "We need to spice up our frontpage posts, they're boring, who cares about the 43rd picture of MP08 Grimlock" ... everyone else will continue to give you the boring, unbiased news posts.

You have to admit, adding a gunarm to anything makes it HARDCORE.

Bay did not design the toy. It will look fine in the movie because it will probably transform back and forth. The toy will have gun arms.

I liked last movie's Arcee toy better, why couldn't they just use that?

All I'm saying is, it's not cool to make fun of stuff people like on the front page and lace every post with sarcasm. (not that you have, sorta, I'm just making an example) The only thing it's going to accomplish is making people dislike the site. Unbiased doesn't mean boring, some people DO care about the actual news, and read the front page for it, y'know.

A Transformer who's main attack is running up to another TF, tackling them, and then immediately exploding, destroying the fuck out of everything around him. Oh and after each detonation, he can reform his body.

too many uni-cycle bots for my taste.
i know bay wants "different" looking bots but this is not what i had hoped for.most of the designes of the first movie are great and really got your attention, but this seems to be trying to push it overboard bigtime.

Hey, that's cool, I wasn't sayin' you did, (I actually specifically noted that you didn't) I was just saying all it would take is one off-hand remark to get under somebody's skin, and the one thing I like a lot about TFW is it's a cool, easy-going site. (not counting the people who do start stuff in the forums, i'm talking about the staff and stuff)

ON-TOPIC: I gotta say the the not hugely complex transformation combined with the pic we saw of her basically asplodeded, leads me to believe she will combine. Though I hope they're sold in a set if they do.

I think it's kinda cool. I'm beginning to wonder if these bikes do combine to make Arcee, or if Arcee, Chromia and the other one are just "sisters".

I hate to sound like a fuddy duddy but I recommend reading Roger Ebert's A roll of whose dice? - Roger Ebert's Journal and the subsequent replies; I didn't find an additional 'Hardcore!' at the end of this new post at all witty but I loved how Deefuzz's Paramount Jumps the Gun - Transformers 3 Not Dated for 2011 - Transformers News could be read either dry or sarcastically. Otherwise, keep up for the good work.

Back on topic: No doubt the alt mode is very much kick ass, but the bot mode's over-simplicity leaves much to be desired.

Well we know they had already even even done some CG models as she was in the original script. They could have easily improved both the model and the figure similar to how they have improved prime and bumblebee this time. It's easier and to improve an older mold that you already figured the basics out on than coming up with a new one. It would have been cheaper and the design was much better and more relatable to audiences from a visual stand point. The less human they make the designs the less children can relate to them. Too far away from a human and they may scare young children who are their customer base. Plus it just looks silly.

On one hand her robot mode seems awkward and incomprehensible enough to suggest a combiner.

On the other hand.....we said the exact same thing about Demolishor.

Serisouly how many of the new bots all have wheels for feet or legs. At least the redneck pair have bumblebee style feet lol.

BTW I understand a unibot can manage stability very easily front to back.

But getting pushed from the side they cant stop sideways force which makes them way to easy to defeat

This is so ridiculously stupid for a main mode it defies logic. There is no way any one wheeled bot no matter how advanced can do battle of any kind. Thats like basically saying "your only allowed to attack me head on" otherwise ill fall down.

So much for suspending my disbelief. lol.

I like how the toy is such an after thought that they have to make a stand for it.

I ll give it this minus the stupid gun arm and the wheels for legs its a very nice bot mode. Of course that is only 1/3 of the bot so not really worth buying.

That's all very well and nice for you, but I think what happened here was that they went for a cool robot-on-wheels-racing-around-shooting-stuff-then-combines-with-other-rolling-bots-look on screen that just didn't translate that good into the first toy.

I want to like it alot more than I actually do
