These look so cool.
Especially Grimlock.

Way cool but way too expensive for the average collector. Guess they're not catering to the average collector though.
BladeStorm
Love them, but don't think my husband would be impressed with the amount of money or the space they would take up.
Sigh… dreams are free though right?
LegendAntihero
I would buy these statues for 1 or 2 hundred but not 2k
Optibotimus
Ahhh now a version of just Grimlock by himself….THAT i might consider getting. Although he still might look smallish compared to the other ones, which is what turns me off to him in the first place. But at least without the smaller Optimus riding him, it might not look so bad next to the other Optimus statue coming out at the beginning of the year

Better enjoy it quickly then. You can live with one kidney. Sell your liver you may be dead before it even arrives.
Of course, I'd be happy to take care of it for you after you're gone.
sladeprime
i'll sell my liver for this

I did say that. And it's not superfluous. It emphasizes the lack of character development and overall lack of screen time for anyone other than Bumblebee or Optimus. For a near $1.7k-1.9k statue, it would definitely be seen by casuals when it's on display in my house. In addition to most of these people (strongly) disliking the movies completely, many of the ones who like them will just remember him as "that giant t-rex"
I don't get why it's such a problem for you. I walked out of the theater at midnight with 5 friends, only one of them knew who Drift, Crosshairs, and Grimlock were. And the only reason he did is because he loves the engineering that goes into the toys and played with mine before we left. I don't know how that doesn't click with you about the lack of Transformers in a Transformers movie.
FruitBuyer
Then say that instead of saying "They could just be random guys for all we know.". It's also entirely superfluous in this context, robot cars won't be remembered by casuals but a giant t-rex IS memorable, even if people know the names or not. Not to mention that the people these are catered to know everything necessary.
harrismonkey
It's actually less expensive than I expected.
It's probably still too much. But at that price just maybe.
prime326
Ya know I want to shit all over that price of $1,899 but I just can't. No way can I afford it but my god that is just udderly and completely a work of art.
Moy
If you have the money it's not a problem, actually I believe Tonyformer owns a statue or two.
Bob 121
That's not a huge point, it's just a follow up to the point that the Transformers in TF movies are beyond secondary characters (aside from Optimus and Bumblebee). Hell, anyone I know that hasn't touched my collection of TF's still has no idea what Grimlock's name is in TF4, after multiple viewings. They think the Spinosaurus is called Spike.
I don't need to grasp straws to not buy something. I've already spent $12295.08 on toys alone since January.
FruitBuyer
I understand your other grievances but the one I bolded is fifteen levels of inane and straw-grasping.

Looking at the update, it seems they're really trying to make these affordable. I wish I could splurge and go for it, but some of the personal issues I have with these things are…
Well, I don't like statues much. I wouldn't mind if I had a lot more money, but statues aren't really my thing (yet). I need joints. And lots of them.
The other and biggest issue I have is that I don't value the movies enough for me to buy $2k statues of every character. These movies would have to be near perfect for me to want to buy these, and I'd have to think of them as better than 8/10, 3/10, 6/10, and 7/10 for TF1-4. For things like Grimlock alone, He wasn't even in the movies for more than maybe 3 minutes? Plus, he's never even established as Grimlock. None of the dinobots are given names. They could just be random guys for all we know.
Bob 121
I want this one so bad… but 2K is so much. If it were transformable and articulated I would go for it.
Autovolt 127
The LED's really make this shine.
I probably won't get it but it does look nice.
Sentinel
Damn that looks cool. I love the use of the LEDs here. Still though, $2K is a lot to ask of any collector, but I'm sure a few people on here will pick it up.
