Calibre Toys Age Of Extinction Optimus Prime & Bumblebee Talking Coin Bank Soundbites

Posted on 03-10-2014 at 08:42 PM by SilverOptimus under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
BB_New_Pack Calibre Toys has updated their Official Website with demonstration Soundbites for their Transformers: Age Of Extinction Optimus Prime and Bumblebee Talking Coin Banks.

Optimus Prime's voice is clearly from the legendary voice actor Peter Cullen while it's still a mystery as to who voice Bumblebee. The soundbites open up a possibility of Bumblebee talking in Transformers 4. Previous movie toys had Bumblebee talking in his "radio voice" and in an unexpected turn of events, Hasbro even deiced to give Transformers: Prime Bumblebee his voice back after having him talking in an R2-D2 manner for three seasons.

You can hear the voice clips here.
Optimus Prime: *Transforming noise "I am Optimus Prime!"
Bumblebee: *Transforming noise "No one can outrun Bumblebee!" *Guns firing

Transformers Age of Extinction Grimlock Evolution Two-Pack Revealed

Posted on 03-05-2014 at 02:46 PM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
1620767_663471557052836_557545106_n Transformers Dioramas on Facebook has revealed one of the store exclusive items coming this summer as a part of the Transformers Age of Extinction toyline.

What we have for you here is a look at an "evolutions" two-pack, taking characters appearing in Transformers Age of Extinction and bundling them with toys from past Transformers toy lines to represent the characters as they appeared in Generation 1; which is also a great 30th anniversary celebration. The set we have a look at here is Grimlock, and it's a Toys R Us Exclusive.

In this set we have two Grimlocks. The "then" half of the equation is the Transformers Energon Grimlock, representing the original Grimlock likely due to the prohibitive cost and mold quality of the Generation 1 original. The "now" half of the evolution is the new Generations Age of Extinction Voyager Grimlock mold. The packaging has a particularly cool effect where the tray behind the original toy features the classic Generation 1 grid and gradient style - even the Autobot logo as it appeared on the original boxes.

This is not the first time that the evolution of a Transformer has been collected as a store exclusive set - in 2008, there was a "Legacy of Bumblebee" set which did the same for three Deluxe Bumblebees from Classics, Animated and Movie series. We also know that from the leaked upcoming toy list from Hasbro that there are some more "Then and Now" evolution sets planned, including Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Slug / Slag and Strafe / Swoop.

Hasbro-Innovation-First-Transformers-4-Age-Of-Extinction-HexBug One of the coolest things about NY Toy Fair is the aftermath which brings us a lot of Press Releases. Now that the cats are out of the bag officially, many companies reveal their product plans for the coming year. One such company is Innovation First. They’ve kept one of their upcoming lines as a secret until New York Toy Fair 2014.

For those who do not know, HexBug robots are self-operated robots (Automatons) who are programmed to duke it out in a small arena.

Both Hasbro and Innovation First sent us Press Releases announcing a partnership based on the upcoming movie Transformers: Age Of Extinction:

“New partnership with one of the year’s biggest blockbuster movies: “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” in which HEXBUG is bringing the iconic, franchise characters to life for fans of all ages, with the Transformers HEXBUG Warriors & Nano product lines.”

Robots from Transformers 4 are said to appear as HexBug robots and they will fight each other in an arena. An images of the product in question was revealed previously via a magazine published for the German Toy Fair. We are yet to see the official product images.

The full press release is for their upcoming product lines, but you can check it out after the jump.
