Toys 'R Us Japan November Exclusives New Images - Micron Carnivac and Rollbar

Posted on 11-16-2014 at 06:54 PM by Matty under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
Micron-Carnivac Thanks to the Facebook page of Autobase Aichi, we have new images of two Toys 'R Us Japan exclusives. The first new batch of images are of the Micron Carnivac, which is a dual homage of Carnivac, the Decepticon Pretender, and of course Lockdown's wolf-minions from the most recent Transformers blockbuster Age of Extinction (also known as Steeljaw). Carnivac is available in Japan with a purchase of Transformers product at TRU, while supplies last.

The second group of images is of Rollbar, essentially the rally race car of Shane Dyson from AOE. This figure appears to be the same figure that can be found in the Breakout Battle (AKA farmageddon) set. Rollbar will be an exclusive release in Japan through TRU stores.

Check out the thread for Carnivac here, and head over to discuss Rollbar with the discussion link below.

20141114031936899 Alfes2010 has updated his blog with in-hand images of Takara-Tomy's Age of Extinction Armor Knight Optimus Prime. This version of the Age of Extinction Leader class Optimus Prime is to the original release what the Revenge of the Fallen Buster Optimus Prime was to the original Revenge of the Fallen Leader Optimus Prime - a release which takes everything good about the previous figure and improves on all aspects, in this case adding new tooling on the arms, head and chest, redone weapons, a head which can switch from faceplated to mouthed forms, and to top it all off, a premium grade paintjob. Check out these in hand images to see for yourself.

They will be offering a two pack of the Human Alliance Soundwave and Barricade toys from Dark of the Moon and Revenge of the Fallen's toylines. This is a great chance to get these toys if you missed out on them before especially the Soundwave who never got a US release.

This duo is due for a release in December 2014, and given the "Asia Premium Series" designation may sport some flash new paintjobs, though the pictures so far do not support this.

Takara-Tomy October Releases & Legendary Weapons In-Hand

Posted on 10-18-2014 at 06:24 AM by Sol Fury under Transformers Movie Toys & Products (All Transformers Movie News)
B0N5O6UCMAA-PqT Alfes2010 has shared some images of some of Takara-Tomy's October Transformers Age of Extinction Japanese market releases, including some images of the "Legendary Weapons" accessories being given away as a part of a promotional campaign.

Via Alfes' Twitter account, we have a look at a couple of those Legendary Weapon premiums - available free when spending 3,000 yen or more at specific retailers. In particular there are some great looks at the "Prime Axe" weapon.

Next on Alfes' blog we have a look at the Japanese market version of Power Battlers Galvatron. This "Lost Age" Galvatron is shown side-by-side with the other Japanese market releases of Galvatron toys - the Voyager class Generations Galvatron, and the One Step Changer. Which brings us nicely on to the next item!

Alfes has also shared images of the Japanese market One Step Changer four pack. This four pack collects the One Step Changers versions of Galvatron, Silver Knight Optimus Prime, Helicopter Drift and Dinobot Slug in a single box.

Check out the images for all of these and see what you think.

This kit for those not aware does not transform, but sports good poseability and incredible detail compared to the on-screen model. Well worth taking a look at if you're a fan of the movies or a fan of Bumblebee!
