HAAHA. I had that soundwave. I guess by switching the panels around he can be all kinds of things. And the fact that BB only has one hand and a stupid looking face(?) may prevent me from buying him. Well, I already have a couple of him anyway.

Cool! Soundwave will be an instant buy!

Still a pass for that Soundwave. I just do not like the movie line.

Yeah, his alt. mode(s) are ambiguous to be construed as anything if you look at it right. I suppose he has his satellite mode, and then a cruising mode for entering and maneuvering in the atmosphere.

Well I'll be getting that Soundwave but pass on the Bumblebee. I guess we will be seeing these in store soon like in a month or two.

Awesome, I'd suggested that when the "official" pics of his jet/robot modes were released; the satellite is undboubtedly his third mode.
Also, this is our first look at ROTF Deluxe packaging, which is awesome!
It seems like I'm doomed to wait until this hits shelves to get Soundwave...I've ordered two from different sellers that have vanished mysteriously. So I'll definitely pick up a couple the second I see them in stores.

I'd imagine it's very likely Soundwave won't use his triple-changing ability in the movie. This "protoform mode" may be toy-only like Protoform Starscream or, IMO more likely, will be featured only very briefly as Soundwave lands and before he scans his Earth alt mode.

I might pass on Soundwave in favor of the better inevitable figure.

Why does everyone think this? One of the producers said some would retain thier Cybertronian modes, and Soundwave obviously is one of them.

Something just doesn't feel right to me about Soundwave... if he was going to stay a satellite in the movie, why would they release his toy (a small one at that) as part of the preview wave? The preview toys last time around were not designs seen in the movie... so maybe this satellite design for Soundwave is a toy-only thing...

I hope that's not the case, this design kicks ass - and I don't want the on-screen Soundwave to be that ugly black pickup concept we saw before.

Obviously? Explain why.

1. Orci said the Earth design was dropped for Soundwave.
2. Orci said majority of the Decepticons were cgi (face it, no satalite looks like that)
3. Heaps of other reliable sources have claimed/stated that's the final design.
4. Nothing else could be a better G1 Movie design for Soundwave. And if so, why would they ruin that wonderfull design with him rescanning?
5. There's something about the blue spheres on him that just screams' "I'm Important!" dont you think? Not just fancy deceorations.

Definitely looks like all deluxes will be packaged in bot mode from here on out. I'm skipping both of these at the present moment. I wanna see more new cons too!

Im not big into the movie figures, but I can use Soundwave in my Destron Air Force. (kinda weird saying that) Looking forward to new flying vehicles.

More deluxes were released as well, but those didn't represent new characters. So while 24 sounds like a lot, it's not that unexpected. Also note that it's quite unlikely we'll get 24 new deluxe molds, since some characters will be repaints of others.

i epically hope soundwave gets an earth based alt mode. but if all else fails, ill buy that soundwave.
