It’s that time of year again… thanks to TFW2005 member opoptimus, via a post on ACToys by user 11-11 we have an in-hand (but small) image of an Optimus Prime figure from Transformers: Age of Extinction. This could perhaps be a closer to production version of the toy we saw at Hasbro’s New York Comic Con event in October. If this is the case, noticeable differences would include the chrome being replaced by silver paint and/or grey plastic, and the shield weapon changing. However, there has been speculation that this is actually a different toy due to some variations in the weapons and slight transformation differences – only time will tell if this is indeed the Leader class toy altered a bit from the promo piece at NYCC, or a different size/release planned for the line. It does seem to match up closer with the box art picture TFW2005 member YIZHI521 dropped last month (which has been speculated by some fans to be a Voyager class figure). Check out the attached image and discuss on the forums!

Well…Apparently there's going to be 2 more movies, so…Maybe.

I hope we don't have to wait another 3 years before they engineer an accurate leader class AoE Optimus

I really love the vehicle mode,if it was a voyager will be fine with it

It reminds me of a bubble bath bottle

HUUURRRKK!!! Oh dear god No! I actually had hope for this figure from the initial photo, but then I inevitably became concerned when I noticed the "15 steps" thing in the top right corner. I was hoping for something better than the initial voyager sized one. But now, I think that I will actively pick up that one instead.
I know That Hasbro is a Toy company, and is looking for their money blah blah etc. etc., But do they seriously not think about the fact that these movies are more geared visually to teens and up? I am all for making things for the wee tikes, but Jeezus! For a very long time I have praised Transformers toys as 3 things in 1: Action Figure/ Vehicle/ Puzzle. but now it seems that they are severely killing the latter part and pandering to less creative and less thought provoking designs. Toy design and craftsmanship has GREATLY advanced since 1983. Don't send us backwards. When you are going to make a larger figure, and expect $40+ for it, make it count. Just keep the kiddo line and the older collector lines separate.
I hope that this is just a sample/prototype, Because the paint apps on the chrome are garbage. Skinny, poorly proportioned bot that is swimming in kibble. He looks like a box you can unfold. I hope that this is the low point for the toyline, which is sad considering he's "The Prime", and you know people love him. There, I'm done. Sorry.
rgeezzy
kibble anyone ?

This might sound weird. But I think I'll wait and see if the non-chrome version jives better for me; It should be a little less distracting.

That looks like total sh*t lol, it looks more knockoffish then anything else. The cheap looking plastic, the bad paint apps like the paint over chrome, chrome in all the weird places, the stiffness look of the overall figure and the very simple looking transformation it looks to have. It just looks so cheap like a knockoff would look.. I can see it hanging on a peg in dollar general with the dirty bubble falling off and stapled back to a card with a gundam image on it… Hasbro didn't make a dime off me in DOTM figures and looks like they will not be getting any from this movie.. Toy looks like utter sh*t

Thank god I stopped giving a shit about the movies and the toys after Dark of the fucking Moon.
I'm just going to sit in my beach chair on the sunny, tropical shore of 3rd Party Land, drinking margaritas while I ignore these things even exist.

Lol I thought it was the cyberverse

Wasn't Hasui going to design some upcoming tf4 toys? If so, I hope he improves on this…
Bumblethumper
All of this.
Looks weird how they just chromed the middle section of the front bumper.
RedAlert Rescue
Congratulations Hasbro you chromed the parts that didn't need chroming, you left the chrome off the parts that did need chroming and you managed to totally miss match the light grey and dark grey plastic to the rest of the toy making it look disjointed.
WHAT IT SHOULD HAVE looked like is chromed Stacks, wheels and fuel tanks, no chrome or less chrome on the chest and legs and instead painted silver over those areas.
Instead they look like they made a toy designed to look like a Chinese knock off by intent.
P.s. I also prefer if the windows were not blue.

As to know one liking Decepticons ; It got me thinking did both mainline Prime Voyager Megatrons sell out so quickly because they were underproduced then or were people shock actually looking to buy a Decepticon – Can't say I saw Skyquake or Shockwave shelf warming either. unlike an endless parade of Prime Kups.
Frognal
That's just awful.
emoo
But there is no AoE line, everything from tf4 is said to be released in the generations line.
Although maybe it could be possible we'd still get two leader primes. One standard and maybe an ultimate leader Optimus.
Valkysas
Yeah they did. Read the quoted post.
EpicTransformer
To anyone planning on getting this just pretend that's his jet pack in the back…
BeeOtch217
He never said anything about Gundams.
tonyformer
So two Leader OP toys. Could be leaders A6516 and A6517 on the toy listing that was leaked.
