Our sponsors Big Bad Toy Store report that the Dual Model Kit version of Autobot Bumblebee – based on his appearance in Transformers Dark of the Moon – will be getting a rerelease in March 2015. This kit for those not aware does not transform, but sports good poseability and incredible detail compared to the on-screen model. Well worth taking a look at if you’re a fan of the movies or a fan of Bumblebee!

He just did earlier this year

Does anyone know if DMK01 will be getting a re-re-release?
OMEGAPRIME1983
Yea, guys I should have checked that out, first before posting, but I was at work, anddidn't want to get busted, lol. Thanks though, definitely going with hlj seeing how I can.

It's a retail (re-)release, so of course the other Japanese retailers will get it.
HLJ has a listing up, but they list it for November.

Hobby Search also has a listing up, with the March ETA that AmiAmi & BBTS use:
Dual Model Kit DMK02 Bumblebee (Resin Kit) Tomy(TakaraTomy) Transformers Movie

I am so super excited about this getting a re-release. I'm buying 2 just to have them. these kits are super fun to build and paint! Can't wait for their release! Wonder if the other Japanese E-tailers will be getting these in as well, or just BBTS and amiami, though.

The first run of BB didn't sell out for a loooong time. I assumed that was why they reran Prime shortly after the first, but not BB.
I'm mildly surprised they're rerunning him now. I doubt he'll be a huge seller.
Don't get me wrong- I LOVE mine (after I added a lot of paint).

The DMK Optimus rerelease didn't sell out (well, at least not for a long time) either.
Certain rerelease preorders don't sell out (MP-13's rerelease was available for a long time too) for a good while on there. It happens, albeit only with certain items.

Right, I want Lockdown and Galvatron.

This is the first time I've seen a pre-order on AmiAmi that wasn't sold out. Weird.

Its like trans-scanning bumblebee, but… not.

Depends how precise you want it and how much you're prepared to resculpt. I would think you'd have better luck with the new deluxe BB.

I'm just trying to figure out if i could turn this into a Stinger…

And this of course.
Starscream Gaga
The Optimus (both of them) are fantastic, but the Bumblebee is extremely lack-luster. Mediocre deco without painting yourself, bizarre proportions and an iffy head, both with and without face-mask.
For as crap as Revoltech usually are, the Revoltech Bumblebee is way better.
Sideways77
Oh that's cool.
Now give me one of Lockdown.

I totally agree. I'd kill for DMK's of the AOE Autobots.

"Perfect" would be a good start.

DMK 01 was SOOOOOOOOO much fun to build.. i'd kill for starscream, megatron, blackout, lockdown.. hell, make DMK versions of ALL of the movie characters. they're absolutely beautiful and a hell of a lot of fun to put together, i can't wait for the AOE DMK prime.
bumblebee was fun too, but not as fun.. it's really nice looking, but to be perfectly honest, i think the revoltech dotm bumblebee looks a lot better and fits in with DMK prime better. sure, you don't get the fun of putting it together, but it looks great.
i think this is one of takara's few missed opportunities.. they really should've made more kits for movie characters. there's definitely a market for it.. i mean, the transforming toys all have rather nice alt modes, but the robot modes aren't able to be as accurate as these are.
i can only imagine how a display of all of the movie characters displayed like this would look..

This reminded me that I picked up the DMK01 Optimus rerelease when that came out and I've yet to actually take it out of the box, let alone put it together.

After I painted mine it probably took me 2-3 days to get him together.
You don't NEED to paint him, but it helps a lot (if you have the know how- the pin striping isn't easy), I seem to recall this toy not being favorably received at it initial release and a lot of the complaints did focus on it looking cheap.
Pin stripe is painted on the yellow plastic.
